Fantastic self-catering accommodation…

Fantastic self-catering accommodation in the quietest of locations, with so many walks to choose from straight from the door of the property. We stayed during winter, and the heating kept the barn nice and warm. The lovely village of Debenham only a few minutes drive away with a great local shop, brilliant butchers, and a two pubs. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful break. The team at Stay In Suffolk made the booking process easy, answered anything we needed straight away, and sent us a discount code for future bookings.

Fabulous Trip

The whole transaction from booking to departure was so easy. Our hosts were lovely and the property was fabulous. Plan to use again.

Great communication and superb quality home.

Great communication before, during and after. Selection of properties is excellent. This property was fantastic for a group of 6 adults. It had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. Access and parking was easy and we were 5-10 mins from Aldeburgh High Street and the beach.

I have used this company twice this…

I have used this company twice this year. Their customer service is good. They answer calls promptly (not leaving you in a queue for ages. I waited 40mins with another holiday company) Emails are also responded too quickly. The cabin I have stayed in, is just as described. I left something at the property on my last visit, I called the office and they were really helpful and posted it back to me promptly. I will certainly use them again.

Avoid – Misrepresented Property and No Support from Stay in Suffolk

We booked a 3-night stay in Suffolk through Stay in Suffolk expecting a peaceful, well-kept property, but our experience was the complete opposite. It was so bad we cut our holiday short and left a day early.

The main issue was the excessive noise and disruption from a group of six teenagers in the adjacent Corner Cottage. They shouted, played loud music, and the noise carried straight through the walls. Even after asking them politely to quieten down, nothing changed. The property became uninhabitable, making it impossible to relax.

On top of that, the condition of the house was poor and far below what was advertised:
• Uneven, hazardous paving slabs in the garden
• Overgrown weeds, dead plants, and broken outdoor furniture
• A damaged furniture (which we had to arrange to have repaired)
• Stained, unhygienic soft furnishings inside

The garden and interior felt neglected and uncared for – nowhere near the standard promoted online.

To make matters worse, Stay in Suffolk showed little interest or support. feedback after the stay was brushed aside. It felt like once they had our money, they no longer cared whether we enjoyed our holiday.

Overall, this property was not fit for purpose, misrepresented, and coupled with the noisy neighbours and lack of support, it completely ruined our break. We would never book with Stay in Suffolk again.

Terrible customer service

Following reporting back to Stay in Suffolk that the cottage we rented from them via Airbnb was totally unsuitable for dogs as advertised, not as clean as would be reasonably expected and was definitely not worth the price we paid. We received very unprofessional responses to our communications which among other things insinuated that we were being dishonest with our review, the tone of the wording was totally unacceptable and provided zero customer service. I would warn anybody against using this company as we certainly will not be ever again

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Was told four times I hadn’t paid within a week of my stay. Raced round contacting credit card company to find that stayinsuffolk had an IT problem. Problems are fine but I just got very snotty messages from their office or a bot? - no phone calls to apologise for the inconvenience and explain their problem. No personal service - the situation could have been dealt with a quick phone call which I did request but no one called! Just continual messages TELLING ME I hadn’t paid.
