Do not recommend Stax
My small business was the vicim of a cyber attack on our payment system and Stax shut down our payment processing despite explaining the full situation to them. It has now been almost a month of being unable to accept transactions or process refunds for our customers.
Stax is very slow to respond (does not call when we book an appointment, even though we were told to book an appointment), keeps handing the issue to other customer service reps, and refuses to escalate it to anyone higher up to help.
We will be canceling our account in full with Stax and have moved to a different payment processor. Do not work with them if you want to actually be able to handle transactions without any issues.

Communication
Stax has been great, and we have really appreciated using your services over the past two years. However, recently when trying to get support or assistance, it has been difficult to get help. I would really like to continue using your service, but I may not have a choice but to consider switching to a different company if this issue persists.
I just wish customer service would be more willing or able to assist when issues arise. Overall, we have never had a problem, but when I look for answers now, it seems there is no one available to take calls and emails are the only option. It’s unfortunate, because we really do not want to change companies . Stax is a critical part of running our business. Serenity Psychiatry and Wellness.
