On Saturday 27th September 2025 I broke down at 3.30 pm and after many trials with the RAC my car was eventually taken to Star Garage at Midnight. The Drive belt for water pump and alternator had been shredded. We were due to return on Tuesday. Star Garage were our saviours because the RAC had closed the case without the garage even looking at the car advising that any more calls regarding this breakdown would be charged!! We were 225 miles from home and needed to return in 2 days.
Dougie and the staff diagnosed a broken belt tensioner and by Tuesday at 10 30 am we had a call to say that it was fixed with 2 new belts and new tensioner.
How the dickens did they locate a belt tensioner for a 2005 Chrysler Voyager so quickly?
They are not only excellent mechanics but magicians. I could not recommend them enough as they only charged 1.25 hrs labour + parts.

Took my car there for two tyres fitted, excellent experience overall, highly recommended.
Friendly staff & as requested were very careful with my alloys (as requested after previous butchers damaged a rear wheel) I’ll definitely be going there again in the future.

RIP OFF GARAGE .Charged over £1000 to service a 12 year old Mazda 2 automatic. I later asked a Main dealer for a price it was less than £400. I didn’t ask star autocare for a price prior to getting work done as I presumed they would be cheaper given they are a back street garage. Lesson learned for me but you can save yourself by taking your car elsewhere

Took my DS3 to Star Autocare on recommendation. I was not disappointed, from start to finish they offered excellent service, were friendly and had great communication - and i ll recommend them to all my friends and family! Thank you for fitting the wetbelt and getting me back on the road.

Just bought a category s Ford good car did me a decent deal ..they offer a warranty...usually service history is understandably unavailable due to it being a insurance claimed vehicle however thats not that much needed as your aware of the bargain price on these cars and depreciation is what your buying knowingly so its your own choice to buy...the repair on ours was bumper tailgate replaced and painted satisfactory...these are mainly insurance damaged repaired vehicles at low cost to the buyer these guys dont make huge profits but customers get a much cheaper car price..so if you want a car to keep long term then buy one and dont be over fearful of its past however do a HPI Check to feel happier...and vehicle inspection is not a nesseciaty unless you feel the need....the sales team here need to offer a warm welcome a drink if you need to wait a while...and big smile to customers but thats about it these motors are combinatorial category and part exchanges but decent well valeted and Great bargains...Delivery is also available so feel reassurance that these cars are quality

Nice lads but don’t go there unless you have a death wish. My view onto the main road coming out from the garage was blocked by broken down cars, I had a close shave so wouldn’t go there again.

Wife took our volvo there today, first time we've used them. She was so impressed with the quick and very friendly service. Definitely be recommending to our friends

Good garages, like barbers, are hard to find and with Star Auto Care I’ve found the best around. I visited to have some tyres from Tyre Leader fitted and they sorted out some other issues too, even though they were obviously extremely busy. Customer service this good is a rarity these days and I couldn’t recommend them enough!!!

Couldn’t really ask for better service. Competent mechanics, with a can do attitude, providing first class customer service. Would highly recommend these guys. I won’t go anywhere else from now on.

Excellent service from the guys at star. I can't thank them enough for the diagnostics and work they did on my car. From the MOT work and other servicing they are 5 star. Even though I live in Cheshire I make a point of using them whilst I'm in Anglesey because I can trust them to do a great job. I definitely recommend you check them out.
