Dont Fall for SubscriptionNotebook!

I initially heard of a product called "Subscription Notebook" via a CultofMac deal. It was $40, and I was under the impression that it would help gather my subscriptions so I could gain visibility into them and manage them from there. Rocket Money does something like this today, so I wanted to give it a try and compare the two. Let me say that the Subscription Notebook was nothing more than a manual entry product. ANYONE can accomplish this on their own without spending the $40.

Once I saw that product, I was angry and felt like I had been 'had.' I wasn't able to test the product until it was activated - A pain in the butt, confusing process. The disclosure does say that once a product has been activated, there is no refun or store credit. That was even more frustrating.

I contacted StackSocial support. I'm still not completely sure how they fit into the big picture, but I voiced my disappointment in the product. Surprisingly, their support got back to me right away. They were friendly and personable. While they were not able to issue a refund, they did get an exception to get me a store credit. They even followed up to make sure that I was happy with the service. That's fantastic.

The important thing to note is that SubscriptionNotebook is not the face of CultofMac. Other products are useful and worth the money. There are actually some great products and deals out there. I just happened to get a lemon and a bad impression.

In the end, I am happy with the resolution!

I had an initial problem with Windows…

I had an initial problem with Windows 11 accepting the license, and StackSocial help was amazingly quick, and they showed me exactly how to solve the problem immediately. And their pricing saved me more than $150 USD on a 200 USD list price item!!

A goldmine for a lifetime of shopping!

I recently discovered StackSocial and made my first purchase. I ran into a small issue, but customer support resolved it very quickly, so I definitely plan to make more purchases there.

License Support

I recently had an issue with a lifetime license for some software I purchased through StackSocial (SS). When I contacted the software company they said not their problem and referred me back to SS. Megan, from SS was fantastic. In 24 hours my issue was resolved. SS and Megan were professional, efficient and made it an easy process to fix things! GREAT COMPANY and STAFF!!!!!

I typically hate contacting support as you have to wait forever and/or they can’t help you. Not the case with Stack Social’s support. I purchased a software license and was having trouble properly installing it. With a quick email exchange - they were able to quickly resolve the issue AND were so pleasant to work with. Expectations exceeded. 😊

Problem with upgrading from Windows 11 to Pro

I ran into a problem installing the keys to upgrade from Window 11 to Windows 12 Pro.

First purchase with StackSocial where I…

First purchase with StackSocial where I bought the 2024 Office H&B Lifetime License. I needed a little handholding to get it installed and they were great. Then there was a problem with my purchase showing up being I guess I bought it as a Guest. So they walked me thru several tries to get that fixed. Finally got fixed.

Highly recommend them!

Wonderful Service!

I ordered a Microsoft product several months ago to load onto a new laptop. I had difficulties getting the product activated. I contacted the company and they quickly responded and tried to walk me through solutions, step-by-step. I couldn't make things work, so they sent me a new activation code. Things are working now. This was great customer service! Their communication was great also! I am so appreciative!

Purchased Microsoft Office Professional…

StackSocial refunded my money after they read my TrustPilot review. I can only hope that they also modify the text as recommended in my original review. It needs to be clear that you are purchasing a one time download link to the automatic setup of the product; and, that you are not downloading a complete copy of the purchased software that can be used to reload it if your operating system crashes. I have upgraded this to 4 stars.

I had a problem downloading software to a thumb drive. I didn't realize I needed to format the drive to change it from its native FAT32 to exFAT. The help rep realized the problem, and I learned something about thumb drives. Problem solved. The response time was nearly instantaneous.
