Disappointing …
We had a birthday party for 10 boys at Croydon mission and it was a bit of a disaster. The party host found the group too overwhelming as the boys were “screaming” and not fully quiet during the mission. To be fair they were loud but as expected for 10 boys. The party host was very serous and was overwhelmed by the group and kept shouting at them at one time telling everyone to shut up. Some of the boys looked upset of her strict attitude. There was no fun. Just a serous of small rooms with loud noises and lights with a bossy party host. I witnessed this first had as the host found it too overwhelming within 10 min and wanted a parent to help. Have party hosts who are able to get into character and interact with kids and make it a fun experience. We don’t have a birthday party to make the kids feel like they are at school shouted it by a strict teacher.
They also forgot to give the party bags although I had paid for them. By the time I inquired most of the party had left. The food was basic. The party room was boring.
Great birthday experience for my 10 year old daughter
My daughter’s 10th birthday party was at the Milton Keynes Spy Missions. The staff were great with the kids, and overall they had a fabulous time. I would recommend it for Children around that age.
Colchester Spy Missions
Myself and 4 children visited Colchester Spy Mission today and thought the whole thing from start to finish was amazing. The 2 young women working were incredible, interacting with the children, noticed my daughters birthday badge and made sure to make her feel special. Agent Blue who took us round was so enthusiastic and really played the part, she could see when the kids needed a clue but didn't rush them. The age range of kids I had with me went from 8 to 14 and all of them enjoyed it. Well worth a visit, and we was even allowed to do the slide twice which was a win all round. Thank you Spy Missions.
Extremely disappointing
Extremely disappointing. Visited as a family of 5 (£70) not worth the money. Very outdated, not very interactive, the guide did more than we did as a family and became bored quite quick.
Very poor service for hosting party
Very poor service for hosting the party, I had to ask the person at the desk for my son’s party table. There were two young girls who did not have any clue what they were doing. I had to instruct them to clear the tables that had just been used and add the two coffee tables to make space for the children to sit and have their meals. Really poor organisation, little food portions. My child’s cake that I handed over at the desk had the cake decoration missing. I did not even bother to ask them for it, because I did not know where they would have retrieved it from. Not a single place for the two parents hosting the party to sit. I would definitely not recommend this venue to anyone. Limited car parking spaces. The only positive thing is that children seemed to have enjoyed the mission. I give 2 stars for the mission.
Not worth it for teens and above
We had a guide who told us exactly what to do if he didn't just show us the clues, but at other times clues were so absurd you would have mo way of knowing without having the guide
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!
Customer service poor
Phone service poor, couldn't book online for the weekend, notice said wait to be contacted, no one phoned me so I called them in the end, phone kept getting cut off (or person kept hanging up??) was unable to book and gave up in the end. Not a great first impression, will not be booking here.
We had my grandsons 8th birthday party…
We had my grandsons 8th birthday party at Leicester on 16th June. The spy mission was brilliant according to all of the children, food was freshly cooked for when there mission was finished. Everyone ate the food, and there was plenty of squash and water. The one thing I feel needed attention was the room itself where they ate there food and the toilets. But they have only been open for 1 year so that may come later. You could get a drink whilst you were waiting, but no food. Overall I would recommend this venue. The children all enjoyed it and that’s the main thing. We had some no shows and they refunded our money which was brilliant. Thank you
Very poor
So waiting for a reply to a complaint I made in March. Booked a party package for daughters birthday. Chose leicester as it said there was a cafe serving food and drink. Got there to find they only serve drinks. One everyone had settled I noticed a sign saying no birthday candles allowed but an led alternative would be provided, it was a pound shop tea light. The was no organisation, the host just stood there until I figured it he was ready for the kids to go in. Customer service was zero but the kids did enjoy the mission
This is for children not adults or teenagers. Total waste of money.
We went as a family of 4 and chose the adult mission. This is for kids no older than 8 I would suggest. There was hardly any actual missions, the staff follow you around the whole time and pretty much give you the answers. They are bored, uninterested and add no value. We were in and out within 40 minutes. How you can advertise that this would be suitable for corporates is ridiculous. A waste of time and money.
Disappointing
My eldest daughter had a great party here 2 years ago, today for my second daughter it was sadly very disappointing. Food area and chairs were dirty, had to ask for them to he cleaned, toilets unhygienic. Kids said the first man who hosted the party spent most of his time on his phone and was not enthusiastic which made it very dry. They were also left on their own at times. None of the management seemed bothered, no customer service, they were all young and just wanted to sit and chat together To top it all off the food was grim, burnt pizza and most kids left the 'gross chips'...soggy snd anaemic. ...when does that ever happen? Defo one that has gone completely down hill and to avoid...sadly.
Nottingham
Nottingham
Rude staff, awful food, overpriced and dull, drab location and in need to some investment.
Food was late due to the oven being broken and no communication was forthcoming, we had to chase.
Would not recommend to anyone.
1 star is being generous.
The worst party experience I have had
The worst party experience I have had. The girl at the desk was incredibly rude and incompetent and there was lots of waiting around. Not worth the money we paid. Avoid Spy Missions Walthamstow.
Extremely accommodating, thank you!
Norwich site couldn't be any more helpful, they were fantastic! Booked an 8th birthday party, rang the head office explaining that some of the attendees had noise and light sensitivities and they checked that Norwich could adjust the levels for them. The team were very patient and understanding allowing those children who wouldn't have been able to take part without these adaptations to have a great time. Can't thank the team enough!
son 10th birthday party
My son had his 10th birthday party yesterday at spy missions Leicester. He and his friends had an amazing time. I would like to thank Adam who ran it, he was fantastic and very helpful and nothing was a problem
My son and his friends want to go back they enjoyed it that much ! All in all ,fantastic
Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money!
I booked a package deal of £179 for my daughters birthday. On the day, after the children finished their spy mission, we noticed all the children including my own daughter were extremely upset and uncomfortable. Two of the children were in tears. We were told that the host who was with them shouted at the children and said, “stop being so annoying and do it”. Others also heard him swear in front of the children.
This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional from SpyMisson staff. My daughter and her friends experience there was ruined because of this.
Had a 9th birthday party for my son and…
Had a 9th birthday party for my son and 5 friends today at Norwich. Venue was clean and tidy, staff were helpful and prompt in serving the food. My son and his friends really enjoyed the experience. Only thing I feel needs improvement is to offer french fries instead of the chunky chips. They were a bit soggy and not that hot. Overall we had a great experience!
Amazing kids birthday party!!
We just had my son’s 6th birthday party at SI5 Spy Missions Milton Keynes, his whole class came and they all had so much fun!! It was something new to all of them so naturally they were a bit worried initially, however, their mission guide (Camilla) was amazing, calm and patient with them all. She encouraged the kids and they also allowed myself and another parent to join in on the mission to keep the kids calm. They all completed the mission and from there food was served as soon as they got back. We then sang happy birthday and cut his cake. All staff were so helpful especially the manager (didn’t get her name) but she was great showed a genuine interest in the kids and them having a good time. Thanks you all again at SI5 Spy missions. I would definitely recommend them!!!!
Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money. Underwhelming. Just a series of small dark rooms with very low-end / low-grade tech - just a few flashing lights, a monitor and a few buttons or levers to press and ladders to climb. Not at all realistic as an experience. With all the gaming tech available now they could do a whole lot better. Attendant seemed bored and did nothing to help create the right kind of ambience. Would not go back or recommend to anyone else. Please note that if anyone in your party has special needs there is nothing on their web-site to let you know that people with a physical disability are excluded if they cannot climb up step ladders or crawl through narrow spaces.
