I've found a few glitches in the data, but that might be because of my inexperience.
For the most part, I find the service very comprehensive and look forward to becoming a power user.

I've been using SpyFu for year for my digital marketing efforts and it's always been extremely insightful.

Truly is the most robust program offered in this space and I received a demo for all of the major SEO tools. Every time I use it, it blows my mind even more than the last. The data is impossible to collect by any other means. For the price, it would be foolish not to work with SpyFu. We are most likely going to cancel. We don't like your website and the fact that every time we try and use it for one of your clients you know nothing about them even if they have been active for years in SEO and Adwords. Then I have to add in their keywords

Great for first steps in understanding your market and their SEO strategies, beyond that you need more help to make real use of this information. I kept hitting roadblocks in my knowledge and videos also started out clear and then SEO jargon above my head.

I don't know how they get the info that they do but it's really helpful. It does take some time to master so be prepared to explore the training, which is extensive. Very comprehensive system when you do understand how to use it.

Unlike other SEO services, SpyFu offers on demand queries in an unlimited quantity. No more waiting until a weekly refresh. This is key when management wants a report now, not next week. The UI on the Keyword Kombat makes it stand apart from other competitive SEO research tools, making it easy to dive into shared, exclusive, and missing keywords. The visual display also makes for engaging imagery to non-technical team members.

Their new project tab helps segment your research efforts between domains and then further into your own custom groupings for things like campaigns, keyword groups, and whatever else you can come up with.

PPC data shows ad copy versions back years in all cases I've found. This is helpful since it enables you to view trends in your niches by directly viewing competitor advertisements.

The support team has always been responsive and helpful.

My biggest/only gripe is that the automated reports are a little messy in format and their visual style is quite dated compared to the UI of the site, but that is not primarily what I use this service for.

Overall this is my SEO/PPC tool of choice, and I've been through many in my 5+ years of work in the field including Moz, SEMRush, CognitiveSEO, and Raventools, to name a few. All of these have their own strengths, but for my needs of actionable and on demand research SpyFu is by far the best.

Some of the most detailed data analytics I've seen. You can peel back the layers of your competitors and their strategy in order to develop and improve your PPC campaigns and ROI. They offer suggestions customized to your needs.

I use spyfu for my research for organic as well as pay per click campaigns.

If you know what to do with this data it is invaluable. Amazingly clean interface. One of the best websites i've ever used, without even getting in to the data.

There's so much in SpyFu that I'm just starting to really understand and apply all the information. But even someone starting out is going to get indepth insight and very useful tools.

I love the information that SpyFu provides, but there is one problem that is pretty major for me. The screens and the report are filled with pre-selected competitors. In our case, our business serves a pretty small geographic area. We're in Texas. SpyFu's listed competitors are all over the state, and no one will drive 800 miles for our product. So the "competitors" aren't truly our competitors. I would like to be able to specify and save our competitor list, or at least specify the geographic area to target. I got an awesome report in email this morning that was nowhere near as helpful as it might have been if it had true competitors listed.

I love the data you collect, but hot-damn is it labor intensive to get the correct/best story for my client's SEO purposes. The good part, is that I know it's in there (somewhere!). The bad part is that I need to really dig to find it, and then I need to make it 'digestable' and relevant to the client.

Just as a comparison - when I log into Google Web Master Toolset, I use their search analytics to get easy, digestable search info that I know is pertinent to them: impressions, clicks, positions, and queries. A cute graph that's all about them and I have a great story to tell in a single data export.

With SpyFu, I get a LOT more data - mostly competitive - which is helpful in some ways. But for my purposes (and my clients) I feel like I need to dive into a bunch of different areas to find what I'm looking for. When I find it, and I know it's there, I typically love what I see. But the process of getting there detracts from the efficiency of the toolset.

Great site which has helped me a lot. It is a bit lacking on directions & information as to how the site works and what it can do for me. Glad I signed up for it, but it is taking a bit to get going. Tech did call and talk, but I didn't know what questions to ask at the time. I need to call again.

Overall, this is a great tool to use and get insights. However, the highest valued data is an additional fee on top of the monthly. Which SpyFu charges on a "credit" basis. You need to purchase credits to get the more in depth analysis. They should offer one free report in order for clients to determine if the data is worth the cost.
