Someone has stolen my images and is using them on this website. My flat has never been available to rent as we are a council property and are looking for a swap. Potentially a scam website.

Spotrental made searching and finding a property a piece of cake.

Lack of transparency and poor value for money

At first glance the website looks useful, but there are several serious issues.

Rental prices are not clearly specified – it is often unclear whether the price is per month (pcm) or per week (pw), which is very misleading when searching for a property.

There is no option to report or flag listings that appear outdated or suspicious, which is a major downside for a platform that charges users.

Finally, the paid subscription offers little to no real value and this cannot be stopped for the first 24h . You pay to contact landlords who often do not respond, and many listings can be found for free on other websites.

Overall, the service does not justify the cost. I would advise being very cautious before subscribing.

1st you have to pay a £1 to contact them regarding any property then you pay the £1 increasing to after 4 days £49.99 Only to find out the property that's advertised as "Available " ACTUALLY isn't then they send up properties that are not in your criteria.

We were looking for a property with a large kitchen, and thanks to Spotrental and the many photos available on the site, we were soon able to form an idea of which property we wanted to rent. We found exactly we were looking for.

A Costly Disappointment

I signed up for Spotrental hoping to find a flat, but instead I was charged *£39* just to access listings that redirected me to other subscription-based websites. Many of the advertised properties turned out to be *spam listings*, often pulled from places like Facebook Marketplace — outdated, unavailable, or outright misleading.

The platform felt more like a paywall than a helpful service. I wasted both *time and money*, and didn’t get a single legitimate viewing out of it. If you're considering Spotrental, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.…

I found my dream home within a few days. The search filters work very well and the daily updates and emails are very helpful.

Very dubious on the legitimacy of some of the listings.
Property shown on the map is not even in Plymouth.
Previous property I payed to get the landlord details, which was already rented out (3 weeks later it's still showing as available.

I signed up for a £1 trial to explore the platform, but after four days I forgot to cancel—and was immediately slapped with a £40 charge. I contacted customer service the very next day to explain the honest mistake, but they showed zero empathy or willingness to help. Being penalised £40 for a simple oversight feels like a bait-and-switch. Avoid this service—it’s nothing short of a rip-off.

I can't imagine how stressful my search would have been without Spotrental's website and notifications, which simplified the process and sent regular tailored alerts.

Spotrental allowed me to focus my search primarily on the exact area and tyoe of property I wanted, saving me precious time.

My family and I were looking for a very modern and very large rental property, and this site helped us find the perfect home. There was a great choice of houses, and the filters were super helpful for us.

Spotrental is a great website to find a property. However, I had some trouble with the search filters, but eventually I found a nice property for us.

We are a family consisting of 11 family members, myself, my husband and 9 children.

With this large number, it is always difficult to find a rented house, but through spotrentalm we were able to rent a house.

Notifications came in quickly this way, allowing me to book several viewings each week, leading to faster results.

Finally, after a 9-month search, we were able to get a house and even then in our home village, we are extremely happy with this and are moving in next week.
