Worst internet buying experience ever

Returned it on 4th february on the 13th dhl confirmed parcel had arrived. Talked to customer service and they told me they had an internal tracking system and that it hadnt arrived yet, told me to wait until the maximum day of arrival (26th february). That’s today, havent been contacted, no news from my refund.

i bought a pair of adidas terrex , too small , asked for a return , cost 18 euros and never had the refund after 12 days , i have the proof of delivery and the customer support do not answer ...terrible experience

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs — they’re an absolute joke. I ordered an OMM smock, paid £9.99 for Saturday delivery, and got the order confirmation… but no dispatch notice. I had to chase them on Saturday morning, only to be told there was some vague “warehouse issue” and my order wouldn’t arrive. That was it — a half-hearted “sorry” and zero mention of refunding the delivery fee, no compensation, no accountability, nothing. Completely incompetent and utterly careless with customers’ time and money.

Unbelievable customer service

I bought a pair of running trainers and opened them, tried them on in my kitchen which has a wood floor. I didn’t need to even walk in them to try them on as they were really small. I sent them back and heard nothing, expecting a refund but have a busy job so hadn’t checked. A month later a parcel arrived with the same shoes in. I thought they had duplicated my order so rang them and was told they couldn’t accept them back as they had been used. They then sent me a photo of the shoes which were pristine and exactly as I had received them. I was absolutely dumbfounded. I then contested this and was told they had obviously been used. If they thought they had been used they had obviously sent me the shoes in that state. They looked perfect to me. I showed the photo to all my friends who agreed there was nothing on them. Sports shoes did not want to know and I felt helpless. My bank raised a dispute but I feel so upset at the injustice.

Very poor customer service

I bought a high end sleeping bag from this company. On my fourth night sleeping in it I saw the sleeping bag outer had torn. I had looked after the bag carefully and so felt the tear was likely due to a manufacturing fault. But the customer services assistant maintained that I had exposed the bag to heat and that therefore this was accidental damage and not covered. She maintained this even when I told this was not the case and in spite of the photos I sent not supporting her claim. Basically she said I was lying. Her proposed arrangements for taking the matter further would have involved me in considerable time and some expense.

When you buy over the Internet you need good customer care in the event of a product being faulty. Amazon get this but it seems Sportsshoes does not.

I won’t use them again. I’ll give my business to someone else.

Be warned

Be warned - returns are very expensive, even when the wrong size sent.
I bought a pair of Patagonia shorts from this website listed as XS. The pair sent were huge and labelled as a size 8, which according to the Patagonia EU website is a small as Patagonia don’t sell UK sizes.
Customer service at sportshoes couldn’t have cared less.

Out of pocket on their behalf.

Awful service and awful customer service.

I bought " xl Adidas hiking trousers" from here and even tho I already own XL Adidas trousers and XL hiking trousers, these were the fit of something like 5xl. The sizing is absolutely awful.
Also they weren't actually hiking trousers. They were just regular tracksuits! Absolutely not fit for purpose.

Upon returning I was charged an additional £4.50 to be allowed my refund!!

Have you ever heard of a company that charges you to get your money back???

But to return them in exchange for another item you don't get charged.

They claim the charge is for postage but if that's the case why do I only have to pay if I'm asking for a refund.

This is pushing the boundaries on what is legal going by the consumer rights act of 2015 section 20 subsection 17 and section 20 subsection 7 B. I have emailed them to explain this but they refuse to acknowledge. Luckily I got my money back on the trousers. It makes me wonder if they put the wrong tags on and falsify their descriptions on purpose to ensure they make profit on refunds without having to actually stock anything substantial. Returning the same articles of clothing again and again to reap profit from the refund process. Absolutely despicable.

Never again

I will not be buying from this company again. The after sales service is appalling. I returned a pair of shoes to them over 2 weeks ago because they were too small. I put a note on the shoes to point out a mark on the shoe that was on there when they were received, so that they did not think I had marked them. I rang this morning to find out why I have not received my refund and the advisor stated that because I had pointed out the mark it had to be handled differently. They have not yet received the shoes from the returns centre and so I am still waiting for a refund. I am very unhappy with their approach and I am out of pocket over 2 weeks after returning them.

Received pre-used trainers

I ordered a new pair of Nike running trainers, however the shoes I received have clearly been used. The shoes are dirty and creased straight out of the box with no label.
I contacted customer services and sent photos and was told this will take multiple days for them to investigate.

Trying to place an order and pay (quite…

Trying to place an order and pay (quite a bit) extra using my store credit and England Athletic Discount.

I thought this would as its been in the past a simple request. I have provided codes and sizes etc.

However as you can see from my email correspondence (several times) agent Somia is being an absolute nightmare.

disappointing customer service from a chain I've bought from in the past

The first time I've been talked down to and mansplained to by a woman. I'm an experienced runner and know what i want in terms of specs. I wanted advice on 5mm drop or lower trail shoes, having made an off the peg online purchase elsewhere that proved too small. So no, being recommended a pair of 9.9mm drop trail shoes was not welcome. I've voted with my feet and bought from a smaller company, who were polite, extremely helpful and didn't require me to be quiet "and let me finish", while going on to recommend shoes that were the opposite to what I'd carefully explained I wanted -

Worst customer service I have ever…

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Very unfriendly and dishonest communication. They pretended the returned product had not arrived yet, while the shipment company ended proving it had.
I only got reimbursed my payment thanks to my bank. First and for sure last experience with Sportsshoes.

Order a pair of shoes and the website…

Order a pair of shoes and the website selected my previous address, shoes got delivered to the wrong address and lost 100 pounds as there is no response from the people that lives in my old house, therefore they are not returning my shoes and I lost my money. I live 300 miles away and have no way to contact these people and customer service says there is nothing they can do. this is the worst ecommerce and customer service experience Iven ever seen. DONT BUY FROM THIS STORE. They are completely unhelpful and I lost 100 pound and no one cares. Disgusting.

Disgusting Company to deal with

Bought some shoes from this company via Ebay. They sent the shoes out with EVRI. The delivery company took photo of trainers in their car and said the shoes had been delivered, but no one was at home to take delivery. We live on a main busy road and The delivery driver has lost our shoes by either leaving on the main road or lost in the abyss. Contacted Sportshoes and ebay who are not bothered as they say EVRI delivered? Strange how no one signed for the shoes as no one was at home. Taken 3 weeks now of stress from SPORTsSHOES. Now saying please sign a claim form. but no address to send he form back. My advise to them is to change their delivery criteria and to stop trying to FOB their customers off with utter rubbish. I'M STILL FIGHTING TO GET MY MONEY BACK

This time (as always on earlier purchases) very good customer service; multiple contacts on the same order and finally for poor carrier service (*), and in all of them, excellent customer support, namely of: Jade, Jonathan and in the end Ayesha.
