I've been a large collector in the game for 4 nearly 5 years. When pokemon cards shot up in value (with logan paul etc) I was thrilled but had no way to easily sell them or get the best price without lots of hassle. splinterlands has been trustworthy and smooth the whole time and when i want to trade or sell cards its very easy to do so. my only regret is not getting involved sooner before a lot of the older cards when up in value. and no. there is no reprints, which i love

The game is very laggy , they force you to purchase a spell book to '' play for real'' . In fact they won t refund you after because this is a SCAM.

A very multi-faceted game in my view. Owning cards, building a deck, renting cards, buying and selling cards, earning crypto rewards for winning matches or just holding assets.

I enjoy many aspects, been here since 2021, sill enjoying the game

It's a fun game to play. As an investment it could go to zero or the moon, no one knows. There is a strong community and the future could be great with the advent of land if the game can survive. I would suggest not putting much money in and see how you like it.

This game is the ultimate scam & rug pull. They conned us into spending money to get "old" cards to strengthen our game then started this season pass rubbish to play in wild, which means unless you pay every single season you can't use your "old" cards & buying new sets would be foolish as only the last 2 sets can be played in modern (no season pass required)

Went from play to earn to play to pay. All old cards have tanked in value, and you can't use them anymore without giving more money to the company that keeps wasting what money they have. This game has become a joke and a scam. Wondering when the rugpull will happen.

Fantastic game with cutting edge ideas, I would not be surprised if the assets in the game appreciate sharply in value.

Like the game but it's unbelievable how many times your cards will miss yet the opposition hit despite fighting with the same level cards. I don't know if it's bots or they're just freaking stupid to let this happen to a good game.

In my opinion this game has sadly been ruined by the multi-accounting, endless pack releases, tokens, land sales etc. The same multi-accounts are sucking almost everything out of the reward pool from Bronze upwards on top of making it much harder to level up. Game is fun, but it feels like a constant moneygrab that ultimately destroys the value of older cards

The game requires a fair bit amount of cards knowledge and how they work together etc.. knowing how to upgrade the cards, rent cards vs owning etc, trial and error. Is it possible to make a profit? yes I think in higher leagues (diamond & champion), but not without pain play this browser game day in and day out.

I mean the game devs really don't want the players to check out anything, deposit is fine. When you earn in game currency $SPS, you will have to wait 28 days to un-stake if you want to withdraw. You earn reward cards but they are account bound and have no market value yet (used to be different). Even though the game is out for a few years, but $SPS is new, so it's still stabilizing, many issues devs need to work out.

I'm not really sure about any play & earn platform, it's either tokens degen to very low value. or a very small amount is given out. so long term sustainability has not been found in this genre.

After I tried to purchase DEC on Splinterlands for my account, their third party Transak suspended my account without notice. I only found out about this after Splinterlands' support told me to contact Transak and after two days of chasing they emailed me a half filled macro saying the purchase was failed, my account is suspended and I cannot purchase anymore. No proactive communication before that, no explanation, nothing. Now both Splinterlands and Transak are unresponsive when I email them about this.

Very bad game. Just skip it and go play smth else. If you've started at the beginning... well may be. If you start NOW - prepare for endless pain... It's a pay to win game and it is one of the worst. Simple game - ones you get thge mechanics your five years child can play it better then you...so - it is not very interesting. If you expect profit - forget about it... The idea is to take money from you - this is not a charity campain... Soooo... it is super stupid game and you can't get any profit from it... Your call.....

I've been playing this game for over a year, and I love it. To be clear, I'm in it for the game experience more than the "earning potential", but the earnings are nice too :)

I also find that the team is super transparent (e.g. weekly town halls). Overall love it and can't wait to see what they do next.

I love this game.

if you want to start, you have to invest on it, it's Pay to earn game. there is some way to make money, staking, liquidity pools, playing, tournement, renting cards, market. all is profitable if you understand it.

in time they want to make this game full decentralize. this game is a good way to learn about blochchain and NFT !!

i can add it's long term game. don't think you gonna come in and play and being billionaire fast.

So to play properly you need to pay around £8, which is fine but then within a week you can't get any further unless you buy different cards to give you 1000 power (owned by yourself), i found it a complete con, will not put any further money into the game as I am fully convinced if I do there will be more restrictions within another week or so.
Plus it's very easy to work out if you will win or lose before the battle starts and this is even when you know 100% you should win yet you know 100% you will lose. Watch the battle and it's unbelievable how many times your cards will miss yet the opposition hit despite fighting with the same cards.
Total con as far as I'm concerned.

The number of online players is very large and can be matched in a short time. You can earn more than you deposit and stake SPS. It can be played on both computer and phone. If you are a very busy person, you can use bots. You can increase your league level and get more cards and sell them.

Favorite blockchain game, solid economy and constant updates and progress. Has some pay to win issues but this is mainly because the free market is overrun with new players.

New sets being released and enw reward cards should fix that no doubt..

I have been playing this card for ten days now. I never thought that learning a new game would be this fun and profitable. I was not actually into online gaming, not until my eldest son became instrumental to open my eyes about its profitability most especially during this time of lockdown because of the pandemic. What impressed me the most in this game is the staking process where you can earn yield with the tokens that you decided to be locked for certain period of time. I also enjoy the different kinds of quests. Thanks for those bloggers who shared about the importance of buying quest potions to increase your chances of winning more rewards. Kudos Splinterlands!

So far so good!!! A great introduction in to blockchain gaming. It feels as if the creators of this game are passionate about their product and don't want to dissapoint....
Fairly simple to get in to and transactions are fluid.
I managed to get a Legendary card within a few days which has a higher value than the money I put in to booster packs and starter fees.
A word of advice, be sure you learn the rules, especially regarding what monsters your summoner can play!
The game can be addictive so be careful!

Update:

I have just downgraded the rating of this game from 5* due to instability of the game and the spams that are easily easily exploited by the players for their desire to win no matter how, they generally have no honour or sense of fairness.
There is also a need to buy cards to compete with other players. It seems this is the only way to have a fair challenge, but these cards have become very expensive now.
However, if you don't play too competively and you don't mind being spammed every now and then then I highly recommend this game and give it 4 stars.
