Half a century of supplying needlework kits and materials, we now stock yarns for all budgets and styles. Needlework materials are from Appletons, DMC, Permin, Zweigart and Riolis, with kits from Bothy Threads, Lanarte and Heritage Crafts amongst others. We offer a free thread matching service for new and discontinued designs. A limited range of Paterna yarns are still available. There's yarns for knitting and crochet from Cygnet Yarns, James C Bretts, byLaxton and West Yorkshire Spinners, with needles, hooks, patterns and other accessories (we print online patterns for a small charge). What makes the difference is that the two people who own and run the shop are as enthusiastic about needlework and yarn as you are! We hope we can really help in tracking down yarns that match and help you start (or finish) every project. We offer help in the shop, or by telephone, email and snail mail. Online shop has no minimum order, free UK postage for orders over £50.

The needlework arrived promptly
The needlework arrived promptly. It is lovely but I’m still waiting for the wool. I hope I get it soon as I’m very keen to start it.

Hi Monique, The wool will be with you in the next couple of days. For context to anyone reading this review, the tapestry that was purchased was specifically bought without the wool pack to stitch it, and once we were asked to supply one, we began the process of matching the wools in the tapestry and putting this together. Ease of choosing colours and the amount of colours. Downside is I could not pay using PayPal- not good for me.

Hi Julie. Thank you for the review - most appreciated. We do not offer PayPal, I'm afraid. We did try and set up an account when we started trading, but when I set the account up, PayPal suspended us within seconds of setting the account up for some (still) unknown infringement, and would not respond to any requests for help. So I am afraid we had to give up on that one!

Fast despatch
The wool is exactly as I wanted. Very fast, same day, despatch HOWEVER the actual delivery was not a good experience
I was getting messages saying it was out for delivery but it not arriving. It eventually arrived 8 days later at about 8pm !!!
