Great experience
My daughters have been taking lessons with Ms.Eddeth Girón for about a year. She does an amazing job at keeping learning fun and productive . You can tell how much she enjoys working with kids and thought she puts into each lesson. They are learning so much and I’m impressed by how much Spanish they can speak! Would I recommend Homeschool Spanish academy to anybody.
High Quality Classes
My kids love their classes with Homeschool Spanish Academy. They had another great class with Daniela Gonzalez today!
Spanish lessons with Eddeth Giron are…Well worth the money! She is amazing!
Spanish lessons with Eddeth Giron are so much more than academics. My daughter is learning about the Guatemala culture and has developed a love of the language through 2.5 years of lessons with Eddeth. She is the absolute best teacher ever!
Nobody showed up - waist of time
I had a scheduled call at 3:30 today - an hour ago. Nobody showed up. Is that normal procedure to waist peoples time like that?
I am so grateful to have found Homeschool Spanish Academy!
I am so grateful to have found HSA! As a homeschool parent with no Spanish background, I was struggling to find a way to provide my high-schooler with an adequate foreign language curriculum. She tried once-a-week virtual school versions with moderate success, but once we jumped into HSA’s one-on-one format, her Spanish skills took off! She is naturally very shy, so it was initially terrifying to her to be forced into speaking with a real native speaker on the other side of the screen, but every teacher she has met has been warm and encouraging and her confidence has grown through the 3 semesters we’ve used HSA. Once we found her favorite instructor, we scheduled out classes with her months at a time because booking classes can be challenging at times. The homework seems just right—enough extra practice to reinforce what’s taught during class, but not so much that she gets bogged down and overwhelmed. I’m constantly amazed at how far she’s come and very much wish there were a similar program for her sister, who is insisting on learning German. :)
I am the student
I am the student. I am 73 years old and decided to learn some basic Spanish. I live in southwest Florida and many people here speak Spanish and I’d like to be able to communicate better.
I have had 4 lessons and I am very much a beginner. So far I am pleased with my progress and with the overall coordination of the company.
It is easy to make and change appointments and communication is good.
Highly recommend!
Our family is so thankful for HSA! Our kids are 10 and 8 and even though we live in a Spanish-speaking country, it has been a challenging moving their language from “playground” language to more advanced speaking and correct grammar. HSA has helped so much with this! The teachers make the classes fun and 25 minutes is just the right amount of time for our kids. I also like that homework is provided and checked by the instructor as it gives us something to work on together on the days they don’t have class. Totally recommend this program!
We love HSA. No brainer decision
We love HSA! First of all is 1:1 private lessons with native speakers, secondly it’s very affordable and thirdly the scheduling is very flexible which is helpful with constantly changing schedules. My son has taken about 10 classes only but is extremely confident introducing himself, asking how others are doing and requesting basic food and drinks etc. If you need to cancel a class as long as you do so with 24 hours notice there’s no penalty. It truly is a no brainer decision if you wish your kids to learn Spanish. My 5y old son typically does 2x25 min classes a week.
We love this program
We love this program! It is soooo affordable and has one on one instruction! The scheduling is easy and you pick when for every session, which helps so much with constant changing schedules. My son loves his teacher so much, which I am thankful for because I am learning Spanish with him!
HSA a fun and effective learning platform for Spanish
HSA has proven to be a fantastic platform for introducing my elementary school children to the Spanish language. The engaging and friendly teachers (we especially love Sara) have made learning a joyful experience.
Flexibility and convenience are key features of HSA. The easy scheduling system allows me to book classes with just a few hours' notice or plan ahead for recurring sessions with the same teacher. This flexibility has been invaluable in accommodating our busy family schedule.
My children, who were initially hesitant about learning a new language, are now eagerly anticipating their HSA classes. The interactive nature of the lessons and the positive reinforcement from the teachers have made Spanish learning fun and exciting.
I'm impressed with how well my children are retaining the Spanish vocabulary and grammar concepts. They are able to recall what they've learned and even express a desire to study independently. It's clear that HSA has created a stimulating and effective learning environment.
If you're looking for a fun and engaging way to introduce your child to Spanish, I highly recommend HSA. The platform's combination of experienced teachers, flexible scheduling, and interactive lessons has made it a valuable resource for our family.
My 3 boys have been using this program…
My 3 boys have been using this program for several years now. It has really been a life saver when they finished their immersion programs in elementary school and we started homeschooling them. I didn't want all those years of Spanish to be lost since this is not their first language. The teachers are all native Spanish speakers and have been invaluable to their Spanish education. We are so grateful we have found this resource.
Impressive results after just a few HSA classes!
My son has been taking classes at Homeschool Spanish Academy for several weeks now and really enjoys it! He actually looks forward to his classes and the conversations he has with the very friendly, native Spanish speaking teachers. After just two classes with HSA, he was impressing me with his ability to say some key phrases and use a good variety of vocabulary. The number of classes and flexibility in scheduling is awesome, we have no problems at all fitting multiple classes into our very busy schedule. HSA is the perfect blend of fun, learning, hands-on work and real-world expertise.
Flexible schedule, perfect for a busy mom
I've been wanting to learn Spanish but I couldn't find any classes that fit my busy schedule. As a mom of 2 toddlers, I really need the flexibility. I saw an ad for HSA and decided to try it out. The first class is free, so it's risk free. I loved it! The teacher was amazing. The portal is very easy to use, and you can change your class schedule any time up to 24 hours before your scheduled class. Perfect for last minute appointments. Tuition is also very affordable.
Get conversational faster
I am a homeschooling mom of a large family and so while I at first balked at the price of Homeschool Academy, I had seen that my bright oldest son was still not able to hold a conversation after using Rosetta Stone for many years. I saw that HSA offered a free trial class and I had heard it highly recommended, so I figured we would just try it out. They tested him (and sent me the recorded copy) and he tested in at level 1B! Having personally taken Spanish in high school and college, I could see that their assessment was unfortunately accurate.
He has now taken classes with them (actual teachers from Guatemala) for two years and is able to hold conversations. He would like to become a medical doctor, so I think it is important to actually learn Spanish. If you actually want your students to learn the language, check out Homeschool Spanish Academy because it is totally worth it. The teachers are friendly and you can find the right fit for your student. I hope to continue to use them in the future with our other children as it is much more worth their time. The teachers also contact the parent regularly to make sure the pace is on schedule for the family goals, etc. I HIGHLY recommend it!
The only way to become conversational in a language is to hold conversation with a native speaker. A textbook or app can't replace this.
My family is mixed with the Spanish…
My family is mixed with the Spanish language as well as English. My husband is from Guatemala and he and his family speak Spanish, however, I am Caucasian from the United States. Inside our home we speak primarily English. However, I am a nd plan to homeschool my children all the way through school. I wanted my children to learn and be bilingual. My daughter at the time of my initial search of options to add to my homeschool journey, was 4 years old and my son was 1. They are now 5 and 2. I went on a web search for homeschool co-op groups for children with bilingual families. I found a couple of co-op options in my area, and we indeed did join the groups. However, I wanted something that would be more structured, long term and in the home that we could take with us anywhere and I found Homeschool Spanish Academy and did the free trail class, and I loved the joy the teacher had, the engagement that she brought to a 4-year-olds learning, the flexability and the price. I truly knew without a doubt my daughter would remain engaged and we would be able to afford this opportunity long term. We have now been with Homeschool Spanish Academy for 1 year for my daughter, but it didn't stop there for us. I myself have studied Spanish for 1 year and a half with a tutor. However, I felt drawn to Spanish Homeschool Academy for a need to review different areas and tenses of Spanish, gain the opportunity to speak with different native speakers while being critiqued in the language in a comfortable setting. I was so drawn to every single interaction through my daughters' experiences with the teachers because of their joy and patience that I wanted it for myself. I myself has been with Homeschool Spanish Academy now for 3 months or so and have enjoyed so much meeting and conversating with each instructor. I have not met an instructor that I have not loved. My daughter and I both are thriving in our Spanish language with Homeschool Spanish Academy.
Learn from native Spanish speakers
As a homeschooling mom who does not speak Spanish myself, it was important to me to find a language learning solution that involves real conversations for my son. That's what brought us to Homeschool Spanish Academy. I love how HSA offers live sessions with a native Spanish speaker. My son's teachers gently stretch his comfort zone by conversing in more and more Spanish, but they always supply English if he gets confused and are very positive and encouraging. I also love the flexible scheduling (you set your own lesson times and there is no penalty if you cancel a lesson within 24 hrs). We've tried Duolingo and Rosetta Stone, but have found that this is definitely the most effective and rewarding approach to learning Spanish.
Excellent way to improve Spanish!
have used HSA for probably the past 2 years for my daughters. We attend a Spanish Immersion School, but I wanted my girls to have more time conversing in Spanish with native speakers and to also work on grammar, etc.
HSA has been a great resource for us because it is virtual and allows us to schedule classes on our schedule. I schedule classes at least a month in advance, but then if something comes up, I can cancel as long as it is at least 24 hours before the class starts and I won't have to pay anything extra.
Excited and Enjoying!!
I signed my 7 year old up for Spanish classes. I felt this age was the best time for him to learn. He has enjoy each class so far. The instructors have been very upbeat and kind. They are patient and can tell where my son is at and will slow down or go back over words. He looks forward to each class. He loves the independence he has because it's just him and the instructor. We look to continue with HSA!
Great to develop every day conversational skills in young children!
I am originally from Mexico City where I lived for almost 20 years and my husband is from the USA. It was super important for us that our kids learn Spanish, and not just reading/grammar which is what they focus in school, but conversational every-day Spanish! We found HSA and it has been the tool we were looking for to develop that ability to engage is conversations! We travel international 1-2 times per year and its been great to see the kids engage in play with other kids in the playgrounds, make friends, and talk to our family members with comfort and ease! I highly recommend HSA as an engaging, fun, and applicable way to learn the Spanish language!
Kids & Spanish
We moved from California to Mexico last year and were looking for a Spanish tutor for our kids, ages 10 and 12. We tried in person tutors, but for us, it has to be convenient! If it's not convenient, we're not going to stick with it. So we looked for tutors that could come to our house, but found that either them or us needed to often change schedules or cancel. One tutor was good, but then she moved away. Another was also good, but got a full-time job. So all the starting/stopping, new person, new way of teaching, wasn't working. Then I found Homeschool Spanish Academy. Super easy to schedule classes whenever works for you, can be a different time each day. If you book a few days in advance, you may be able to get a specific teacher, but we opt to keep it easy and just choose whoever is available at the time we need. The teachers all work from the same curriculum and know where your child has left off, so it works pretty seamlessly. My kids are still hesitent to speak, but that's more due to their personality. I think the teaching methods and curriculum has been great.
