I sent my Sonos5 gen 2 with fault on…

****Update- I have now been forced to start a small claims procedure against the company. ****I sent my Sonos5 gen 2 with fault on the 12th August. I was informed that the courier (Parcel Force) had lost the item along with four other items. The Sonos Repair centre (also trades under Ingleby Electronics) have been extremely slow to respond (it is now the end of October) and have ignored my request for the item to be claimed under any insurance they might have in place. I suspect they do not have any. The Speaker will cost £500.00 pounds to replace. The next email will be a letter before action. Save yourselves the stress, they are not trustworthy to handle your equipment. This is a very sincere warning.

Sonos Generation 2 Sub Woofer Fixed

The company achieved everything as outlined in their website. The Gen 2 Sub was completely dead. Sonos customer care have no systems in place to facilitate repairs. I was offered the unappealing gesture of a 30% discount to upgrade. I located the non affiliated independent Sonos Repair Centre. The Sub Woofer was collected, diagnosed and repaired very quickly. The repair cost was reasonable and fair.

Brilliant company

My £900 Sonos Playbar was ruined by a huge power surge caused by there being a problem at the pole my house was connected to outside. Power Networks fault, but no compensation from them & insurance won’t cover it. Thank goodness I found this company. They diagnosed it Monday pm, I agreed the £120 cost & the Playbar was delivered back Wednesday am. Ian had not only replaced parts he made it more powerful. Brilliant company!

Quick inexpensive repair

I have a Sonos play 5 that suddenly stopped connecting to WiFi and wouldn’t join,after trying so many things for hours on end I was about to bin it but came across Ian and £120 later and 7 days it’s back and connected within seconds absolutely brilliant.

Where’s my speaker? Please update!

Be careful! My speaker was delivered on 21st Dec. Now I xmas will cause delays but it’s now been over a month and I haven’t had any details on the fault or how much it is to repair? I am now wondering if I’ll ever get it back!

EDIT - 27th Jan
2 days after posting this I had my speaker back. No fault found so no further fees to pay. Speaker working perfectly since having it back. Strange but won’t complain!

Although communication wasn’t the best, the service they offer is good.

Efficient service that completely met my needs

Sonos Repair Centre repaired my two first generation Play 5s in 10 days including shipping at either end and even with a little half-term shut-down time. Delighted with the turnaround and quicker than estimated.

The whole process was supremely easy to access and efficiently managed. I knew what was going on at all times as the communication was also first rate.

For me the service represented good value for money and the replaced parts exceeded the specifications of the original ones. Nobody likes spending money getting something repaired but this was about as painless as it could be and definitely worth doing.
Total cost, for me, including shipping was about 17% of what I would have had to pay to replace the speakers with new ones.

Chuffed to bits that my speakers are working again!

Fantastic Service

Sent my Sonos One as it wouldn't switch on. Ian replied within a week to say the speaker was fine and was probably just a power cord issue. They sent me a new power cable free of charge. Absolutely brilliant services, highly recommended.

Absolutely super service

Absolutely super service, it was exactly as described, I also phoned while my sub was out for repair and Ian thoroughly explained everything that was wrong and what they had done to fix my speaker. Such a great service and so lucky to have companies like this out there! Highest recommendation!

Great Service and communication

Ian and his team communicated very well throughout the process and fixed my Sonos One SL swiftly. A one week turnaround and well priced service to get my device back to full functionality. Will be using again if I need any more repairs and recommend using their services.

Almost new play 5

I contacted Sonos directly, they were no help whatsoever. I kept pointing out to them that I could not connect to the wi-fi internet. They wouldn’t accept the fact that the play 5 had gone faulty. This is when I found this wonderful company. I’m a totally blind individual and love to trouble shoot things. Sadly this was a step too far for me.
Ian was brilliant and was very patient with me and he also explained the time frame and how long it would take to be repaired. It did take a month but I think that’s pretty reasonable. I was also very satisfied with the price. He even contacted me a day before and the delivery time was very prompt. The whole service was brilliant, I have no complaints. I mean, it meant I wouldn’t have to fork out 500 quid for another 5 and you can’t be fairer than that. Thank you very much Sonos repair centre. I’ll sure to recommend other folk to your company.

Fixed my play5 gen1.

Fixed my play5 gen1.
Had no power.
Cost was £85 +£19 postage...
Price for the fix is worth paying.
You can buy play5s on ebay from £70 if you are bidding - £120.
Apparently no power faults with these older units is quite common, so you might end up paying for a fix later on.
Hopefully my play5 will work for another 5 years. Still a very good sounding speaker...

Didn’t fix it, not returned after 6 months

Sent off my playbar to be fixed in July 2022. Returned about 2-3 later. I sold this playbar on eBay, once fixed, only to be contacted by the buyer explaining there was a fault with product. Raised issues with Ian and sent Playbar back. This was mid October. I had an update in December stating that it’s still be worked on!!
I have sent Two emails since last Friday, with no update!!

Sub repaired and updated components

My sub was not powering up, called Sonos and was offered a 30% credit on a new one. A bit of a goggle search and I found this company.
Thankfully Ian fixed and updated the components in a weeks turn around at an acceptable cost.
Recommend, definitely !

Amazing company to deal with.

I Sent an initial online enquiry after finding this company on google and I received a very quick and satisfactory response.
I proceeded to arrange for my Sonos play 5 to be sent for repairs and I was extremely impressed with the turnaround. I sent my Speaker on Friday, 2nd December 2022 on a 48hr service. It was received on 6th December 2022 and I received an update within 2 days informing me that my product was fixed and ready to be shipped upon payment receipt. I have now received my product today Friday 9th December 2022 and it works perfectly! Sonos offered to take the product and give me a 30% discount on a new product however sononsrepair have completely fixed it for me for at a very competitive price. I highly recommend this company- thank you so much!!

Updated. Got sonos back working at last, £145 to fix with postage seemed quite expensive and time scale and communications were poor.

Quick repair!

Very happy with my swift Play Bar optical port repair. Cost £120 & £19 postage, BUT it was repaired swiftly.

Found the part for £40, but decided it would be sensible to have some competent like Ian to repair it, rather than someone who wasn't. Me.
