Long time user of Video Splitter
I've been using this Video Splitter for almost 8 years now. The ability to split LONG videos in a lossless format is invaluable. The team is constantly making upgrades, which is a plus.
Other adds - like the join manager, make my life so much easier.
And they actually respond to customer inquiries.

Crashes when handling 4K drone video
I don't know if version 8 is different, but version 7 is unable to handle 4K video from my DJI Air 2 drone. The program is ultra slow, and crashes when trying to execute a cut.

Thank you for your review. It's pity that you have faced with such issue in version 7 of Video Splitter. Unfortunately in version 7 the was no support of 4K files in Home Edition.
Now in version 8 of Video Splitter Home Edition there is the support of 4K files editing.
You can download it and try:

If your file is the MP4 dash file, then such files are not yet supported by Video Splitter. We work on adding of this feature.
It would be helpful for us if you could send us the original sample input file with which you get the crash. Also if you get it while the editing process, please also send the project file.
To get the project file open the input file in Video Splitter, set fragments for saving and deleting then go to File menu -> Save project as and select folder to save the project file.
You can upload file to any file host service, e.g. Google drive or Dropbox.

I've never regretted choosing SolveigMM Video Splitter
I've never regretted choosing the SolveigMM video splitter program. It perfectly suits my needs. It's fast, works with frame-accurate precision, can handle a wide variety of audio and video formats, and is the most user-friendly program I know, and I've tried a lot of video editing software.
On top of that, the support is excellent, quick, and competent, as I've experienced firsthand.
In conclusion, I can't give anything less than top marks, both for the program and for Olga's support.

So Easy To Use - Flawless & My Go To for Video Edits
This is a seamless application for video editing and splitting. It automatically updates and captions to adapt to your cuts and is very easy to use. Very worth the reasonable subscription. I fought with a couple of other well known applications... free and paid, this is by far the easiest and most reliable.

I had difficulty getting WMP plugin… activated.
I had difficulty getting WMP plugin activated. After a few emails to support, the problem was fixed thanks to Olga Krovyakova. I have been using the plugin for several years. It is excellent. I had downloaded the 64 bit version, it would not work. It was my error as I should have used the 32 bit version. The plugin is now fine.

I use Solveig Video Splitter Business…
I use Solveig Video Splitter Business edition for several years - I use it eithe to edit digitalized "old" Super 8 family movies or to edit videos I gather on the web.
I like the simplicity of use and the accurate precision of the editing (removing unwanted sequences, jonng sequences ...) - All can be done in 2 easy steps : 1) deleting unwanted parts 2) joining the kept sequences.
I use it almost every day !

Home Edition install problem fixed very promptly, program works great
I had a problem with Home Edition installation where it couldn't find my license key when I entered it. I tried all the usual "fix it" steps like reboots, reinstalls, etc. I finally emailed the Solveig Support Team late that night and was very surprised that they emailed me back early the next morning, had fixed the issue on their end and I just needed to restart the program. I did so, and it worked perfectly! Very pleased with the quick help. This program is very functional, easy to use and processes splits and clips very efficiently and quickly. I've been processing lots of old family movies that were digitized. Works great.

Not all smooth sailing but when it's working it's OK I had a number of issues initially with…
I had a number of issues initially with this product 'the Trimmer' and didn't find it user friendly either and I would think it's quite expensive too. On the other hand when it's working it seems to do the job quite well of isolating the individual clips. I did have trouble determining how to use the licence key which was different to the Registration code and hadd to contact customer support a few times to ask for help. When you purchse the Trimmer app it should automatically run without having to navigate having to install the given key information to enable it to actually work. Cheers

We use an activation system that is based on activation keys. When the WMP Trimmer Plugin is installed, you are asked to log in with your account and if there are several keys on the account, then for convenience you can immediately select the one you want to use. If you do not have several license keys, you need to register it separately at the next stage.

Software that always makes accurate cuts
Software that always makes accurate cuts, including updating the subtitles to match.
While there are many free movie cutters out there, not all of them can handle every movie format or type.
I've found that SolveigMM always delivers, and the pricing is reasonable and affordable.

Been using this software for some 13 years & even though I'm still on version 5 which is now almost 10 years old it still caters for my needs. Recently rebuilt my machine as Windows 11 but forgot to note license. Quick mail to support & I had the license is just a few hours.
