I purchased my sofa in January…

I purchased my sofa in January literally 4/5 weeks later it’s broken, so weakly made. Tried contacting them numerous times and no response then they have blocked me. Totally unprofessional. Stay clear would not purchase from.

You have asked for order number, I have sent multiple messages via Facebook along with commenting on your posts and no one replied as soon as I explained the problem, yet when I first message a reply was answered straight away until I mentioned the issue. I am unable to now find you on Facebook. And my messages are not being replied to.

Received new corner leather sofa 7…

Received new corner leather sofa 7 months ago and after a month the leather started cracking and peeling, it looks disgusting and old. I contacted sofa king and they send someone out in November and said it would be repaired, it’s now April and still waiting on parts to fix my sofa. I would never deal with this company again. I’m going to get in touch with my friend at the daily record to do a write up about it, it cost a lot of money, I am a pensioner and feel that this is not right

Sofa damaged on receipt

Sofa damaged on receipt, have now waited months for the item to be replaced, told conflicting information. Store manager said he would keep me updated but that was 2 weeks ago and I have just had to call again. Was told that we haven't been contacted about replacement being delivered as their 'technician doesn't work for them and they haven't been able to arrange a date. Total shambles. Defensive when challenged about service levels even though i am just asking for basic stuff like being kept informed and a timely delivery of the good paid for. If looking for a new sofa, avoid these guys at all costs.

My mother, a pensioner

My mother, a pensioner ordered and paid for in FULL on 16 September 2023 for a lounge suit.

Absolutely terrible delivery and service, a number of follow up calls blaming the delivery people.

Promised 4 to 6 week delivery...... where are we now?

10 weeks and counting, unbelievable.

Happy Customer

First time I have dealt with this company and was happy that I did. Having been round about half a dozen showrooms in the Uddingston Retail Estate, we found Sofaking very good quality and very good pricing. Our delivery estimate of 4 weeks was honoured in 3, and the delivery guys were great. I'm very happy with the service and will return again in the future.

Bad customer service

Ordered a sofa without any issues sales guy helpful. Then it all goes wrong gets delivered to be told we don’t set it up we just dump and go. Go to set it up and it doesn’t connect and chair is drooping. So contact shop to be told to move the fittings myself to fix it.
Em nope I’m not doing that as I’ll be blamed if I do it wrong. I ask for it to be send to management to contact me as they couldn’t do anything else in shop. 8 or 10 calls later and still not 1 person bothered to call me back. I then get told to email which I did and finally get a reply.
I’m told they can get someone out but could be a charge, seriously new sofa and ur gonna charge me.
Guy comes out and says fittings were wrong and had to be changed also had to adjust feet on chair to help fix that.
So proves nothing was my fault like they kept trying to say was.

Then no one bothers to even email back to say sorry for everything you’ve gone through.
At no point have u apologised for all the hassle I had to get it looked at.
I can guarantee I won’t be buying from this company ever again.

I found this company through google…

I found this company through google search and up on reading the reviews here , I decided to make an order. All I can say is I’m glad I did. Not only did the gentleman deliver the sofa right to the living room, he also helped with the set up. Beautiful quality and the sofa fit perfectly in the corner of the room. Turned an empty space into a cosy hotspot! Highly recommend 😊

Moved into my new flat beginning of…

Moved into my new flat beginning of December. Ordered 3 seater a bed and mattress. Sales man was helpful and have said it will take a bit of time to recevie my products. It was well worth to wait. All items are superb. And I tell all my friends where to go for they bedroom/livingroom furniture.
Thanks again sofaking definitely live up to they names.

Excellent…

Ordered a Fernando corner sofa from this company through snap finance, customer service was spot on very helpful through out the whole process..we got told sofa would take 6 weeks to be delivered but arrived 1 week later. Tracking is provided with the delivery company who was very friendly and helpful we love the sofa very good quality no problems comes wrapped in protective wrapping etc highly recommend this company thanks sofa king ! 👑

Do not buy a sofa from this company

Do not buy a sofa from this company! I ordered a leather corner sofa a few months ago and the leather has already started cracking and peeling away. When it arrived it didn't line up correctly on the corner. Sent them a picture and they are determined we put it together wrong. However we have tried what they told us but one side is much further out. Not happy I am now stuck with this sofa

Best Service Ever

John and Michael were so patient with me and always in constant communication during my purchase. Even more so the delivery guys were lovely and cheerful considering i live 3 up in a flat... they were honestly the most kindest people i have had the pleasure to deal with. Thank you SOFAKING!!!!

Still waiting on a sofa I ordered in…

Still waiting on a sofa I ordered in the 15 of May.
Was originally got to told July which is fine it didn’t come in and been told since then.
It will be on the start of then the end of every month since we’re in what November now so it’s almost 6 month I’ve been waiting for a sofa. Every time I have phoned and I dnt know how many times that is. I’ve lost count I’ve been told major delays that’s funny because I know people who have had sofas from dfs, scs, Forrest and all the major big guns. Who ordered at the same time and after me and they have had there sofa for months now.

They have took my delivery and assembly charge off the bill but waiting this long for a sofa and been messed about left right and centre will not be using them again.

I phoned in last week and was told it is coming in over the weekend and it will be delivered at the end of this week to phone in 10 mins ago to be told again it’s not came in it’s coming in this week and will be delivered next week.

I asked to speak to a manager and got told he’s busy I asked for a call back and was told it will get put in the diary so I wonder if this will grab his attention enough to talk to me for 5 mins.

Stay away

It's absolutely ridiculous the way I've been treated? Oh yeah Joe got answer for everything! Never the right one mind you. He'll pick up phone and basically fobs you off with his version of everything?? I asked if he recorded phone calls, no was his answer. I think it's his word against mine he's got every answer but homeserve came into my home and took pics of the fault on the 2 seater and still he refused to send me a copy?? Now I wonder how many other people have a problem with them!! I got the sofa through snap finance over a 15 week finance agreement and paid it off on the agreed terms £1500 is a lot of money to part with but had every faith in sofa king as I couldn't go and pick it myself due to shielding and covid. I'm really disappointed and basically disgusted the with sofa king and snap finance? Snap finance told me they have a dispute team?? I've been in contact with them and it seems to be that they're dragging it on. Must be a 3 way thing between homeserve, snap finance and sofa king!! Please don't part with your cash!! They're cowboys. Why aren't they registered as a company?? No doubt I'll get a reply telling me they've kept in touch and they'll dispute everything I've said?? As they always do! Going to walk away from it all now just please if you read this DONT deal with them keep your money and go elsewhere.

We would dispute your version of events as you have been updated and informed of the progress with this complaint. No one is doing anything other than tell you the truth.

Once you reported an issue we sent a well respected and trusted Nationwide furniture repair company to inspect the sofa. We have ordered the part they stated was required to fix the issue. You were informed of this and agreed to this.

Joe spoke to you on the 27th July 2021 and stated we can resolve issue with a new mechanism. We stated we did not have a time frame for this due to the issues with shipping and transport. You were happy to wait on the new mechanism.

The part is on order and is in transit and you have been informed of this. Once we receive the part, Homeserve will contact you to arrange a suitable date to fit the part and resolve the issue.

In relation to you not receiving a copy of the Homeserve report, this is the manufacturers property and they are under no obligation to supply this to you.
You are aware of the reports contents and the recommended course of action to resolve the issue, as these were explained to you.
You agreed to the replacement part being ordered and fitted to resolve the issue.

If you are now changing your mind and disputing the findings of the Homeserve Technicians report, you are perfectly entitled to commission your own report from another reputable upholstery and furniture repairer. This would be at your own expense.

In regards to Snap telling you that they have a dispute team, this is correct and Snap are not dragging anything out. No one is dragging anything out, we are simply waiting on the part arriving. You have been made aware of this from the start. Therefore, it is not true or accurate to claim that any one is dragging this out. You know we are waiting on the part, and once this arrives the issue will be resolved.

I don't know what's going on with this company. But since the 15th Dec 2020 I was left with a damaged sofa (3 seater) bought, and paid for in full to Sofaking.

The last update on the 9th March 2021 promising to me by email from sofaking, that finally a replacement sofa was on it's way that week and nothing since has arrived?

It's been a battle of wit's to say the least.. Back/fourth emails, calls and promises not forfulled!

The 15th Dec 2020 I asked for a full refund and or a better quality replacement sofa and chair. As the one I got was of bad quality and not what was expected in style and for the price paid.

I'm exhausted fighting verbally back/fourth with these continuing issues todate and only recently the chair leg's fell off. Again, sofaking making promises to fix this and did nothing.

There's been no mention off sofaking on a full refund to which I've been asking since day one last year! Have contacted CAB to make a formal complaint and bring this company into a dispute over these matters and to contact the ombudsman where necessary but in the meantime there has been no reply on "how to" make a formal complaint to Sofaking by Sofaking?

It seems you have no empathy for what I have suffered since December last year 2020 almost five months down the line todate. Not only that; was I not within my right to ask a refund for good that are not fit for purpose?

Have you any idea the problems this has caused to my life and the gift of money I received to buy these items without ever seeing them in person...

I trusted on your customer service over the phone, saying when I asked about the quality and being told "better than leather"? Instead of the not fit for purpose item's I've been sold and ofcourse I'm at my wit's end!

BTW I refund of all or some of my money would've been appropriate but not at any time was this offered eventhough I'd asked for such from the 15th December 2020

I have never in all my years had these problems with items bought and paid for tobe left wondering why' the money matters paid in good faith was never afford back to me when I asked.

As it is; you've kindoff got me over a barrel... Haven't You?

You were informed that this would be ordered for you.
You were aware that this would take some time as it was being made for you.
You were aware that this might be longer due to the restrictions and disruption to supply chains due to the world wide problems caused by Covid-19.
You were informed that your replacement was due into stock week commencing 5th April.

There has not been a battle of wits. It was agreed to replace the 3 seater and this is what is happening. You knew that this would take time and we have informed you that your replacement will arrive with us week commencing the 5th April. Once it is with us we will arrange the exchange.

The email we sent on the 9th March did not give any guaranteed delivery date. We stated that it was due to arrive with us, but this was held up due to issues with the manufacturers suppliers. We do admit that this was an unexpected delay, but have since confirmed that the replacement is now due with us week commencing 5th April. We also informed you that we would look at the issue with the leg when the replacement sofa is delivered.

We have told you the facts, and while we would like to have had your replacement delivered quicker, we are dependant on the manufacturer producing and delivering your sofa. Therefore we do not accept that there has been a battle of wits.

Therefore we would have to dispute your version of events.

DO NOT DO IT!!!!

So after a true and honest negative review was removed from their Facebook page I will share it here.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CON ARTISTS.

So July I ordered a Chicago corner group went in store and fell in love with what I seen.
1st fail is didn't meet promise about time scale was almost 4 months.
2. When sofa arrived was most definetly not the same sofa I say on in store, in store it was a good sturdy, comfy sofa.

So on arrival 13th November as we unboxed ourselves as the parts came in the leather panels on the sofa had a really sticky substance not just a small area this was full panels, delivery guy told me not his problem he just delivering. Maybe try a damp cloth.

Next day contact sifa king passed onto manager who then told me use hot soapy water (don't know about u but a BRAND NEW SOFA shouldn't require me to do this) tried this and actually made the area worse.
Iver the week I tried a few different things with no success, I then called again spoke witb a lovely. Woman in store I explained situation and even she said ohh no that's not right our feet stick to these panels so any fabric ect sticks also making it more visible as u can imagine. This woman organised a service call.

15th December homeserve attended my home he used his magic chemicals no success the colour from the panel was coming off onto his cloth, even he said he's never seen this before in all his years of working and he stated this has been a manufacturing issues as though in his words there has been a flaw they have sprayed the sofa with something to cover and not allowed time to set before packaging it. Which would cause this sticky substance.

He went on to say that chances are sofa king will suggest a repair be done and material be offered to do the work which is around 3 hours, he then said however personally having seen this myself I'd acceot nothing less than an exchange what would u like me to state on the report and I said well this is a BRAND new sofa I'm paying for so I don't want flaws covered up I want the sofa I paid for he said I agree.

So we are now into January sofa king had not responded to the report I contacted them and homeserve only to be told there was a delay between them j and communication however the engineer had stated on report I was happy to have repair done I WOULD NEVER AGREE TO THIS no1 on their right minds would spending that money on a sofa to arrive in this state.

Sofa king then replied to my mail which I'll leave image below how confident they are that an exchange will be made for this as let me tell u this was not the only flaw but the main flaw the sofa itself looks about 5 years old threads coming from everywhere flat cushions it is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE, fit for the bin maybe but nothing else. So that email. Was on Friday, Tuesday I then recieve a further email to state that engineer has denied all the above, and that I have 2 options
1 take the repair
2 get exchange at a further cost of 150 to myself.. Wow 2 months I've been fighting this as a single parent I am. I'll witb it from a corner sofa only 2 seat ls can be sat on diabolical I've got 2nd hand sofas in better condition than this is in.

I am. Now going to be contacting trading standards /ombudsman to try and sort this out and cancelled my. Payments until there is a resolution to this as this is just taking advantage of people expecting them to acceot the poorest quality at not the cheapest prices. I am nor a dishonest person I'm not complaining months or a year down the line I've been fighting this since the day of delivery.

They cannot continue to get away with treating people this way life is hard enough right now and mentally this has me on the edge that people can be soo greedy to expect people to accept this kind of trash as a brand new sofa.

Do ur thing however my advice is read the reviews on here I'm not the first this has happened to I'm sure I won't be the last the service has been diabolical throughout NEVER AGAIN. From. Now on I'll be saving up and buying from a reputable company. I will fight to the bitter end for refund or exchange.

Why delete the review from Facebook with 62 comments and 15 shares If u have nothing to hide shows sheer guilt on there part. Now found I've been blocked also from. Contacting on Facebook how unprofessional

Dear Liisa,

We dispute your claim that you were told that Sofa King would suggest a repair.
"He went on to say that chances are sofa king will suggest a repair be done".

You know that this is not true as Homeserve were there on the instructions of the manufacturer who took over management of your complaint once we passed the details to them

You also know that the Technician who visited your home stated that arts would be required and that the REPAIR would take about 3 hours. Knowing this you were "HAPPY TO PROCEED" as stated on the technicians report.

The parts required were ordered then, you called the manufacturer and stated that your were told that you would receive a replacement when this was not the case.
The manufacturer investigated your claim with the independent technician who confirmed that he
DID NOT state that you would get a new corner group.

You state that the Technician explained that parts would be ordered to complete the repair. You were happy to procced with the repair and parts were ordered.

You then state that Sofa King informed you that you would get a replacement. Again this is NOT true.

What we stated was
"We have requested that the manufacturer authorises a replacement for you and they can sort the issue with the technicians report out with him."

YOUR REPLY
"I do appreciate you putting my request forward"

This is clear evidence that Sofa king did NOT state or lead you to believe that a replacement would be the outcome of the request.

The reply from the manufacturer, after contacting the technician confirmed that he did not tell you that you would get a replacement.

"I've checked with the tech on this and he has advised that he did not tell the customer it would be replaced, He has advised he told them that the parts would have to be replaced. "

You also omit from the report that you contacted the manufacturer directly as they were the ones now managing your complaint.
The tech also said that whilst on site they did say they wanted the item replaced but we can repair with parts.

Regarding deleting the 62 comments on Facebook, this is because they are NOT factually correct or based on the facts relating to your complaint. They are based on you assertion that your were told that you would receive a replacement when this is not correct. You were informed that a repair would be carried out. A repair that you were happy to proceed with.

They are based on your version of events which are not accurate and are intended to bully and blackmail us into giving you something that has not been agreed. You stated in an earlier email to us that this was your intention if we did not give you a new replacement.
"I will be naming and shaking ur company with all images"

As NO replacement was authorised at any point.
The offer of a replacement in place of the agreed repair with a contribution of £150 from you to cover the additional costs involved in delivering the new corner group and returning the original to the manufacturer.

Visited the shop and the staff were…

Visited the shop and the staff were very helpful.
Delivery took slightly longer than quoted, but due to current circumstances and different places being in lockdown and people maybe being furloughed then I thought that this wasnt too bad. If this had been any other year then I would say that it would have been delivered on time.
Sofas were delivered and the guys unpacked and placed them in position with no problems.
Really pleased with my sofas. There are very comfortable. Great value for money and good quality. 😁

Fantastic company

Couch is fantastic, great quality. Delivery was incredibly fast given that we are just out of tier 4 and after looking around for couches, ScS and DFS were a 3-4 month wait! I ordered my couch and within two weeks it was here. I was skeptical ordering from somewhere other than the big names but I am delighted.

I phoned once to double check a few things and the call was answered immediately. I also used messenger to check delivery time and my message was replied to within 5 minutes.

Highly recommend!
