product doesnt work, customer service is missing ?
good idea but does not work. paid for premium but waste of money as no data will download / no matches can be saved. have reported issues with support since february 2025 but only can chat certain times or you have to raise a support ticket.
the standard respose is 'update firmware' yet the app does not tell you what version is installed or on the website what is the latest version.
i think your product could be good but you have released it before it was robust. my daughter has lost faith in the shin pads and I wish we had bought another system.
there is a saying 'buy cheap and buy twice'

I had some problems initially, but overall, it's a great and innovative product. You can see a lot of useful stats using the shin pads. It makes you push harder during the game and play better.

Crappy experience so far
First the shinguards did not connect… then they did, but we were unable to update the firmware. After about 10 attempts the update started, but after 5% the app constantly crashed. On two iphone 16 pro and one ipad. The following day the firmware loaded finally, but the app is still crashing frequently. Then the shinguards never loaded to 100% (one stuck at 73 and the other at 92%). Again… plug, unplug, plug, unplug… finally loaded to 100%. Following morning, both down to 75%!!!! Over night…. Great idea but extremely poor execution. No focus on quality

This is a very specific area of soccer data analysis (as it involves different movement patterns than field players), but we are constantly working to expand our algorithms.

Good product, improvements needed, low value for money (private users)
Bought two sets of shinguards - both for youth football league 3 and premiere league. While the shinguards work in principle very well, there are some observations which I think are important to know about.
The app is currently changed, so that you now have to pay for the most functions where your data is shown as combined summary.
All that is left now as free data is the summary of a single sessions, which makes the shinguard an expensive accessory with not much value for the money. Also the amount of sessions you may store isnow limited. If that had been more clear, I would not have spent roughly 400 Euro for the shinguards as a private user.
What Soccerment desperately needs to do is to find out, what kind of customer segment the company really serves. As I see it only professional clubs would consider paying 100 Euro per year for full functionality access of the shinguards. However, for that to happen, the app, steering and updates for software should be manageable centrally from one access point. That is not the case, so the paywall introduced last week will only disgruntle the majority of soccerment customers, who are private persons - it feels at least like a slap in the face. At the same time, private users contribute with their data to the quality of the further development.
Also the app needs some major improvements:
1. It is not possible the go back from certain choices, e.g. when you choose to provide final whistle data, you cannot abort doing so. You need to close the app instead and start over.
2. It is not possible to enter data on football fields independent of a match or training session. So first when the shinguards are used for a session, I can afterwards enter the data for a football field. This is not very userfriendly and makes no sense functionality wise. The process for this takes also offset in your actual location. So if you drive home after the match and want to process the match at home, you need to scroll around on a map in the app in order to find the location of the football field. You cannot search the adress of the field, so it is a search and find game, where you spent time on scrolling around.
3. The Bluetooth connection takes at times very long to establish when starting a session. Eventhough the shins are shown in the app as being present, it can take upto 2 minutes to start a session.
4. Downloading sessions shows same problem,connection may take a tremendous amount of time, eventhough the shins are placed right next to the phone.
5. Right now (14th of April) processing of sessions does not workat all. I think this is due to the fact, that soccerment is changing its server structure and that will disappear once they are done. But right now the shins are an expensive accessorie without any usage.
6. Updating the shins to new software versions is nerve-wracking. Sometimes the update starts at once without problems, sometimes the shins simply do not want to connect, so the process is hanging... when that happens (I had made three updates for 4 shins - hanging happened three times), you need to keep your fingers crossed, that you do not interrupt an already executing update when restarting the app. So far I was lucky and the shins have the latest versions installed.
7. You cannot delete sessions.
Having said all of this and to summarize: Soccerment has a decent product. It needs improvement which is a normal process for new launched products. The support is very friendly and straight forward. Exchange of one damaged shinguard was as example no problem at all.
The value for money is low with introduction of a paywall - at least for private customers. Professional customers / clubs will need centralised steering of the shins for the team and further access to underlying data, which is to my understanding not available yet.
Would I recommend the product? Yes, but only with extended functionality, which went down the drain with the pay wall.
Customer segmentation in between private and team level can be done smarter and money can be made in a different way than the envisaged one. This means though development for professional clubs needs to be enhanced.
With the actual policy around the paywall and the improvement points mentiond only 3 stars.

Always failing, battery discharging after just two hours in one of the shinguards; data taken in a game or training, unreliable and always missing; often impossible to connect to some fields and almost always very difficult to download and close session.
Very unpleasant experience and money very badly spent.
