Appalling communications

When will So Energy sort out their communications. Despite weeks of absolute incompetent they are now sending me duplicate emails 15 minutes apart - with my name having an initial different on one of these emails. They're saying they're not sending them but both came from the same person.

The initial issue that you raised about multiple booking emails being sent has been resolved by our product team, and this was an error with a third party not updating the appointment correctly on their end.

The email that was sent twice was due to a typographical error, which was realised after the email was sent. Hence why another email with the correct spelling was sent to you.

Poor billing and complaint resolution

I have been complaining about a review of my account the company carried out in May which has dramatically increased my bill, but it doesn’t seem to take account of consumption, despite the company having actual meter readings.

A few days prior to this increase the company emailed to say they had overestimated my usage, presumably based on the March and April readings.

The company increased my direct debit in April and I was concerned they could do this again despite me disputing my account balance.

There is no way of understanding how they arrived at the current outstanding charges despite asking for a breakdown.

I have also been sent an email clearly addressing another customer which concerns me re their data protection protocols.

Having had previous positive experiences with the company I am very disappointed at their ability to provide clear billing information and a customer services team which work with their customers to resolve complaints.

I will be contacting the regulator as I am unable to resolve the complaint directly with So Energy.

Very responsive

Very responsive, dealt with my enquiry immediately, but have a dislike off all energy companies as power should not be in the hands of private companies, should have NEVER been denationalised! Thanks Mrs T !!!
China, electricity is 3p per unit, no wonder they are the industrial power house of the world!

Never had a problem with So Energy

Never had a problem with So Energy, they always advise when my readings are required, never forced me into a Smart Meter also advised me when prices are changing etc. Just should have checked out their fixed deals sooner. Most company's standard tariffs are the same or at least with only small difference between them. It's the fixed deals that vary. Never had a problem with this company so am staying put.
