If I could rate ZERO I would!
There is an outdated system of contacting this company and they have YET to respond to my inquiries to CANCEL. I tried cancelling A MONTH AGO and am still being charged for boxes I NEVER RECEIVE!!! I only got ONE box and that was back in April when I did the first time discount. I need them to resolve my situation, refund me, and CANCEL EVERYTHING because I won’t be purchasing from this company ever again. OH, did I mention? The ONE box I received, I had a back reaction too. Terrible experience!

I kept getting the ads for this company on Instagram about some $5 box and I thought it’d be cool to share it with my brother. We were super excited only to be disappointed at the quality of snacks. I cancelled my subscription and the rep I talked to through email made it difficult! They kept bringing up new additions and discounts but I just wanted to cancel. I thought I canceled it only to be charged the other day! I was upset and contacted them AGAIN. I was then told that for future that they recommended not signing up for the commitment plan and just the monthly plan. Like??? They didn’t give me any other options. It’s not my fault they linked that type of plan to a $5 box. They claim that you can cancel anytime and they’ll make it up to you if you don’t like the crate. So apparently that was a lie. Beware of this company!!!!

I wrote a review about this company after I tried to cancel my subscription and couldn't but unfortunately, I wrote too quickly about Snack Crate. I emailed them about my problems and they took care of them as soon as they could and they also refunded my money. So I do apologize for writing a bad review out of not understanding what was going on with my account. Snack Crate was great when I had it I got a France box and it was amazing so thanks Snack Crate for the experience.

The snack crates are very good and fun to receive. When I contacted the company in the fall to help place my order they were very helpful and responsive. However, I ordered a six month subscription for a gift for someone. They have sent eight boxes and continue to bill me for the extra boxes. I believe more will be sent. I have emailed them four times so far with no response. I have tried to call but when you call you get a recording with their email address. I would have recommended this product before but now that I am being billed for extra things I can no longer recommend the company.

I have previously purchased subscriptions to snack crate in 2023. It wasn't too bad. There was always issues with shipping. I started a new subscription for my granddaughter at Christmas time so 2024 has been nothing but a nightmare dealing with them!! You cannot talk to anyone directly anymore, payments have been taken out of my account but no shipments on time. I spoke to someone multiple times for my last shipment. The last response was it would be sent out USPS & I would receive it in 1 to 4 days. Here it is days later, crate has not been delivered or have I received an updated tracking email ( which I was told I'd get when it was shipped ) Having to correspond with them every month to get my shipment is just ridiculous!!! I will never do a subscription through them again.

Firstly, when I started my subscription in February, they advertised 4 day shipping. Well it took 3-4 WEEKS for my package to be delivered.
The next month, March, I received an email at the beginning of the month stating payment had gone through. I did not receive March’s package until TWO WEEKS INTO APRIL.
Horrible service. I do not recommend. Immediately removed my credit card.

I used snack crate in 2022 and cancelled my subscription and direct debit after a few months. Now in 2024 they have taken two £34.99 debits from my bank account without my consent! Don't trust this company!!!

Sometimes you get your boxes, sometimes you don't. They are not reliable at all and you can not cancel your subscription so if you dont get your box- oh well.. you are just out for that month until they decide to send it.
ETA: I DID email in TWICE.. once was resolved and this time was met with enough attitude and minimal resolution

I got this box for the whole family. My two little ones ,my husband and my self get to try different foods from around the world we read what they are write what we think and give them a number from one to ten.
My soon to be three year old found out she loves sour.
This is a super fun way to learn and try new things.
We pick two at a time and we all try to share lol.

They changed my order and increased the price of the package without my consent. When I tried to ask for a refund, they said there was nothing they could do for me.
January 22, 2024 - Please read the reply from SnackCrate below. They site rising costs as the reason for the increase but what they actually did was double the size of the box I originally signed up for and then increase my cost from $24 to $45/month. They sent one email that went to my junk mail notifying me they were increasing my subscription. To give me a different product than I registered for and increase price without my consent is not ethical. This is not a simple price increase on the subscription I signed up for. They changed my order completely. When I asked for a refund and asked for file a complaint with the company they told me there is nothing they can do for me.
To rectify this situation, I request a refund on the charges I did not consent to - $126.00 (this is the difference between $24 and $45/month). SnackCrate has my contact information. I'm happy to connect with them to address my concerns.

This company creates disgustingly inappropriate and racist email campaigns & Facebook stories (the email was much worse) mocking AAVE and making light of the civil rights movement and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Then when called out on it they make fake "apologies" full of jokes that make it clear that they either don't know or don't care why what they said was offensive and delete comments on their post. They clearly think their customers and potential customers of color and our lives are a joke. I wanted to, but I could never support a company that handles things the way SnackCrate handled their MLK day 2024 advertisement and the rightful backlash they received from it. I hope they learn from this and change the way they do things but it's pretty clear that this company is committed to the bit and nothing else, even if the "humor" is completely inappropriate, childish, and alienates customers.

SnackCrate is always packed with delicious treats we cannot find in any of our stores. We love getting the different country every month and tasting what the culture is all about. Adding the drink option made it even better. The little booklet that comes in the box is a fun way to learn facts about the country of the month. My kids and myself love reading it together as we explore the different flavors of that month's country.

These boxes were fun to receive for a while but they make it really hard for you to cancel your subscription. The cancel button in their website does not work. I am really upset that I have not been able to cancel. I sent them an email tonight and will try their online chat during business hours tomorrow.

The packages are fun and it's a good product. BEWARE when you cancel, make sure to chat with them on their website directly to cancel. The cancel button DOES NOT WORK.
If you don't want the box already sent, bring it to the USPS post office, refuse package, and have them send it back for a refund. You should probably chat with them about refusing the package too so they can send it back.

The company's website duplicated my subscription and charged me twice for the December box. Support agent said the only way they would refund me the money from their mistake was if I took time out of my day to take the box back to the post office. A trip to the post office 5 days before Christmas would have taken almost an hour to get through the lines which just isn't feasible when you work 8-5.
Most companies wouldn't penalize their customers because their system had an error that duplicated a subscription. This is on top of just overall terrible user experience on their website. Stay away from this company. Many better alternatives out there charging the same amount for the same service.

Ordered on December 11th!!!! Called twice said they would ship week before Christmas. Called to confirm then said they would ship the week after Christmas doesn’t really do any good for my 9 year old on Christmas Day! On their website they are shipping out boxes expedited I wouldn’t believe them. Beware it will probably take 20 days to get your order and then they will comment on here apologizing after they are late shipping and a bad review from waiting customers. That’s cool I’ll find somewhere else next time!

This has to be one of the worst business models I have seen since Lularoe. If you have a good product, you shouldn’t need to scam people into buying your product. That being said, Snackcrate is a SCAM. They will take your money before the month even begins… And you’ll get your crate when they feel like sending it to you. You would think that around Christmas time they would get packages out by Dec 25…. Oh no, that makes way too much sense. I would actually be a loyal customer… I really enjoy their products… But I am staunchly opposed to a lot of their practices. As a business owner myself, I abide by the “ customers always right” philosophy… Apparently they do not subscribe to this. They will not admit when they’re wrong… And they will not take an accountability for their mistakes. I ordered a particular crate… They just sent out the wrong one. And even though it is their mistake, I have to jump through hoops to make an exchange. write this down… This company will not be in business too much longer. snackcrate, if you are reading this, please take some courses in business! and do some customer service training for God sake. No Thank you!!

The company is awful!! Take months to get your snack crate. Some times their so far behind you receive 2 at once and they don't help you with any inconvenience. A refund take 5 to 10 days smh. This the 2nd time they took out my account when I canceled the subscription. Smh
