Smooch Wedding Rings Reviews 

We got our wedding rings from Smooch in 2007 and have recommended them to lots of people since then. Their service is so personal & we both needed up with rings we love. In 2019 I got in touch with Smooch again to re-model my engagement ring. Pauline came out to see us and was so lovely and very knowledgeable and I love my updated engagement ring.
The service, price & choice of rings from Smooch are amazing.

We booked a visit from smooch for our wedding rings and the agent was very helpful and friendly unfortunately that's where the good review ends.

We had to wait longer than the 12 weeks they stated, and I had to keep chasing them for information.

My fiancée was quite excited to get her wedding ring back and then that happy feeling was destroyed as the ring was the wrong size and the engraving was also wrong.

We contacted smooch and had to send the rings back which resulted in yet another wait and more phonecalls as I had to chase them again.

Eventually we got the ring back but by that time my fiancée had lost the excitement of her wedding ring.

We wrote to smooch (a 3 page letter of complaint) and after yet another call the guy I spoke to was very unhelpful and had an attitude refusing any sort of compensation for the trouble they had caused.

All in all the ring was awful the wrong size, wrong engraving, and bad attitude and then the diamonds in the ring were not even straight so a very bad job from start to finish, not what you would expect for a wedding ring that cost as much as they charged.

I have given them 1 star which is probably 5 stars more than I wanted to give them and they don't even deserve 1 star.

However the problem was solved as I had it melted down and remade by another jeweller who obviously knew what he was doing.

I've given a one star as it won't let me put no stars ordered my wedding ring came back too big wrong name ingraved inside wrote a email to explain so had to send my wedding ring back to get it redone,got it back the diamonds were wonky it didn't fit my engagement ring like it should of and all in all bloody alful had to go some where else to have the ring melted and remade useless too expensive and after waiting for it for 14 weeks and getting it back all wrong was gutting if I knew they would of be this useless and alful I would of never wasted my money ot my time

Very pleased with a recent refurbishment of my wedding ring, it came up like brand new, professional and personal service and communication was great, I couldn't ask for more, thank you

Pauline visited us this week to look at wedding bands and I must say this has been the most enjoyable part of our wedding planning experience so far. The most personable experience we've received. The choice was outstanding and I actually liked more rings from smooch than I did from all of the jewellers I had been to put together. Pauline made my partner feel so relaxed and fully explained everything he needed to know as non jewellery wearer. I purchased my ring there and then and I can't believe you get free gifts! Couldn't recommend a visit from Pauline anymore personal, relaxed and no pressure. Hopefully when my partner wants to get me and eternity band (hint) we can give Pauline a ring and have this whole experience again

Smooch were fantastic from the booking to thee actual delivery etc of the rings.

I can’t remember the lady we had as a rep but she was incredible and Stephen was great at working with us on deferring payment due to covid. We now have our rings and both are incredible finishes and beautiful as the day we picked them out!

We met Pauline at a wedding show in early 2019 and she has been absolutely incredible. From the first meeting to the appointment in out home and since then the experience has been so hassle free. The options we were given were brilliant and exactly what we were looking for and the payments were so easy to make. Pauline has been on hand since we placed the order for any issues and I'd highly recommend her and Smooch for your rings because they are bespoke to you and I can't thank Pauline or Smooch enough for our stunning rings. Role on September for our wedding 💖

After discovering Smooch on Instagram we got in touch with Pauline who was really responsive. She came to our home and was really helpful in choosing our perfect wedding rings. There was never any pressure, just lots of knowledge and advice from her. We decided there and then what rings we wanted and communication was great throughout the process. We received our rings promptly after payment and are super happy with them. Following our wedding Pauline posted a card through our door to congratulate us. Couldn’t get more personal, warm and friendly a service. We are delighted we chose Smooch and will recommend them to anyone we know who is getting married. Thanks again Pauline!

We cannot praise your service enough, from the selection process which was not rushed in anyway. The swiftness of delivery and the customer service when we needed the delivery date changing. We have already recommended the company to anyone who mentions they are getting married and will continue to do so.

We have now recieved our rings. They are of excellent quality and the presentation box itself is very smart. We especially liked that the box has an in-built light which activates when the box is opened - this will, I’m sure, help to make the rings look absolutely fantastic in wedding photos when we can have our actual ceremony.

As mentioned previously, the home visit to choose our rings and discuss options was great - we never felt pressured into taking anything and the selection of rings available was excellent.

We are, of course, disappointed that Smooch were unable to engrave our rings due to covid-19 issues, but we have been refunded the engraving cost and promised payment for any excess costs we incur getting the rings engraved ourselves. The person who replies to emails has been very patient and helpful in this regard and I am sorry their help could not raise my rating of Smooch further.

Unfortunately, this does not completely offset that our rings were 5 weeks late and that we were the ones having to chase up after each missed deadline. The person who answers emails has assured us that the lack of initiative on Smooch’s part will be looked into for future customers. Hopefully this is just a blip caused by Covid-19, but it caused us considerable stress and I have knocked off a star for this.

Secondly, after writing my previous review, I was contacted by a person on the phone almost straight away. His attitude was quite hostile at first, attempting to guilt me into removing my original review, followed by backpedaling when I refused to be intimidated by him. Nameless phone person, you need to work on your phone attitude. I have knocked off one and half a stars for this disgusting behaviour to influence reviews, but Trustpilot won’t let me add half stars so unfortunately, it drops this to 2 stars.

So, to summarise:
- Excellent and friendly home visit
- Beautiful rings and presentation box
- Due to covid-19 we did not quite receive what we had ordered, and it was very late, but reparations have been made by Smooch
- Email contact is polite, friendly, and helpful
- Phone contact is less polite and the person responsible tries to guilt/intimidate people
- I would not recommend Smooch overall

The website and terms and conditions state that the rings will be with you 10-14 working days after your final payment. Our final payment was more than 6 weeks ago at this point and so our rings are now 4 weeks late. Smooch have recently emailed to state that there has been another delay and so the rings will be at least 5 weeks late.

I appreciate that things are slow due to the pandemic. However, I do not appreciate that every time we communicate with Smooch, the first question they ask is "When is your new wedding date?" We only moved our legal ceremony due to the new lockdown (but were asked this question when we first enquired about delivery) and were still planning on exchanging rings to make the original day special still. The terms and conditions mention NOTHING about wedding date. It is final payment date that matters. We intially ordered our wedding rings 18 months ago and have now paid in full but have not received the goods in a timely fashion.

This is a great shame, since our initial visit from the Smooch represenative was lovely. She was a fantastically helpful person and we never felt pressured into accepting anything. We found two rings we loved and have been very excited to receive them in this stressful time. And now it feels as though Smooch is trying to take that last ray of light from us.

This final hurdle is extremely disappointing and, because of this failure to deliver on time (we are beginning to suspect they can't deliver, hence the constant asking about new wedding dates), I cannot recommend this company to anyone who wants a wedding ring. Go somewhere else to make sure it's delivered on time and does not add further stress to an already stressful time.

We had Kelly from Smooch Rings visit us in our home to purchase a wedding ring and the whole experience from start to finish was flawless. From great communication and updates when needed, as well as the varied choice and style's of rings that are available.
On the ring arriving it was very well presented in a high quality light up box.
Further down the line we needed the ring polished due to scratches that occurred from the type of job my husband has. I made the mistake of taking the ring to a local jewellers ..... A big mistake !! they totally ruined the ring, they shined it to a shiny finish from what was a matt finish, they curved the ring when it was a straight edged ring. I contacted Smooch rings to explain what I did and there advice was to send photos to them to further advise me. On them receiving the photos I was asked to send the ring back to them. It went of special delivery, where free of charge they turnt the ring back to its original state.
I cannot thank them enough for their customer service, communication and for the full support they gave me.
I would definitely recommend.

We had our appointment last year for our wedding rings with Pauline she was amazing, felt like we had known her for years! I couldn't decide on what ring I wanted Pauline helped with this. We received them this week and they are both georgous and so sparkly. Couldn't recommend enough!! Massive thank you to Pauline keep doing what you do your amazing!

This is either a very terribly overdue, or an extremely helpful review...

We were married in 2014, and in the planning stages saw a Smooch rep at a wedding expo. The choices available and the customization available drew us in so we booked an appointment. The rep was wonderful, didn't pressure us into anything and was so patient and kind.

Us being very poor at the time (we were paying for a wedding after all), we had to make several changes to the rings as they were all very blinged up; we removed all diamonds from the rings, reduced the amount of metal etc and it was never an issue. The rep never made us feel bad about having to compromise, instead encouraging us to truly make rings our own. She also gave advice as to which rings would work best with my engagement ring and assured me that us having two very different rings isn't a complete faux pas.

Six years on, the rings are still going strong. I'm starting to look at re-dipping the white gold (for the first time! It doesn't desperately need done, but both rings are ever-so-slightly yellowed) but the wedding ring is in exactly as good shape as the engagement ring bought from a standard shop. And these rings stay on 99% of the time. The only time I take them off is for the gym to prevent injury, but otherwise, they're constantly there. That to me speaks of the quality.

If you're thinking of getting rings from Smooch, go for it; the service we received was superb compared to the retailers we'd been to.

Received our wedding rings today from Smooch. We we so delighted with them they look amazing. Also the service has been amazing from making a dummy ring in my size so I could see it and then updates along the way. I would strongly recommend you getting your rings from them. Carl

Recently got my wedding rings from smooch and could not have used a better company. From start to finish the process was easy and flawless. They have a great selection of rings. The advisor comes to you and payment over the phone was easy. Even during COVID they kept upto date with clear instruction on how to proceed. I also had to get my ring resized in arrival which was sent back and sorted and then returned to me within 2 weeks.

Having a very ornately shaped engagement ring, we’d previously had extortionate quotes from high street jewellers for a shaped band.

Not at Smooch! The whole process from booking an appointment, to choosing and ordering the rings was so simple and easy. We felt no pressure to buy but with their clear, honest pricing it would have been madness not to.

They were amazing at keeping me updated with the CAD designs of my ring.

I’m in love with my wedding ring and cannot wait to wear it! My fiancé’s wedding band was slightly too big when it first arrived and even sending it back to make it a size smaller was hassle free and easy!

All in all, I would 100% recommend Smooch to anyone in need of wedding rings!

So this is a honest review of how I feel it went.
Booking process fast and easy.
Rep was great not pushy when I was indecisive
Great choice of rings and a good offer on.
Now after that is where for me it becomes irritating, so when I confirmed prices as was different from website I was told by rep it was because my partner had a size r finger so charged a extra 12.5%. Wasn’t told this by her originally. She removed it after I stated She didn’t even tell us. Online using another email I enquired about same ring in the size we wanted came back as price we was charged after she took this apparent extra size charge off(so how can she say it’s a normal charge). Also online prices were different too. When I questioned the rep she stated there was 4 rings miss priced on the web and would be sorted Monday 4 days later.(OVER 2 WEEKS LATER STILL “miss-priced” WRONG, so makes us fee even more like every pound has been squeezed to make more money or commission. If hadn’t of queried the web prices wouldn’t have been told about paying extra for size so in one way we managed to save some but still.

Kinda felt like we was being conned to a charge we was never told about and luckily noticed it.
Then we was sold them on the wonderful aftercare service, free resizing, free polish & free replacements if diamonds fall out. No extra charges were mentioned ether. Turns out you have to pay £20 a ring when you send them off for their insurance. Again wasn’t advices this and not really for free then.
Then couple days later get a text message saying we should get them valued up they do a special price. Now having spent over £2000 on rings I’d expect them to come certificates anyway.
Look we liked the rings we bought them but we do feel like actually we’ve been taken for a ride and prices for all we know could be made up a little bit. As for the certificate we’re gonna have to buy it for insurance reasons but this should be included as most jewellers now do. I don’t expect messages 2 days later begging for money.
Would I recommend? Possibly, but would make sure they was to check all prices and ask the questions we shouldn’t have to ask to see if given a honest answer And would make sure they’re aware of how we both felt a little cheated. I’d probably suggest unless they had their heart set on smooch to try elsewhere first though.
Now we have to hope they turn up ok and right size as we don’t have long to go until our wedding.
We was told 3-4 weeks but paper work posted through door after says up to 8 weeks so again who knows.

What can I say... This company are amazing. The communication has been great all the way through the process. Our wedding rings arrived and we are amazed at how beautiful they are. Thank you so much! I will be recommending you to my friends.
