The SM rep came to give us an estimate on the time and day arranged, within 2 days of our initial contact with them.
SM sent us their estimate for the work, which we accepted within 24hrs of their email arriving.
Things sounded as if all would be well -
HOWEVER........
SM required a £200 deposit which we were happy to pay, in cash in advance, at the time of accepting the estimate. They arranged 4 (yes four) visits to call to collect the money to allow the job to proceed, each time promising to call at a specific time on a specific date, but they have never turned up, in spite of us phoning them to try to find out why they missed appointments without contacting us at all.
With regret we have come to the opinion that we cannot trust them to do the plumbing work for us: if they won't call to collect money being given in advance of work to be done at an unspecified date in the future, what chance do we have of them coming to do and complete that work?

My heating system is now operating at it’s best. It is super-efficient and costs less to run.
