I bought my wife a smeg induction farmhouse cooker for her birthday in Nov .
So far I’m still waiting for the promised £150 cashback offer that should have been paid sever weeks ago .
They now say just a few more weeks!!
On top of that the glass induction hob now has a small crack forming around the hob ring . I’m currently awaiting the retailer to look into this issue

I had a problem with a Smeg hand blend bought for me by a friend who unfortunately (trust in Smeg) didn't keep the receipt. Despite this I was able to get a replacement.
This was dealt with by Charlotte. A real credit to their customer care team. The service was very prompt and understanding. Thank you all especially Charlotte

Those are the words Smeg used about our fridge. I wanted to share our experience with Smeg.
When we bought our first home, I really wanted the stylish-looking Smeg set. We bought the kettle, toaster, dishwasher, and freestanding fridge freezer — the full set — all purchased from AO.
The kettle and toaster were the first to stop working and went straight in the bin, literally just after the guarantee ran out. Then the dishwasher started to play up, followed by the freestanding fridge freezer.
In fact, the fridge freezer completely gave up. We had a Smeg repairman out. He fixed the dishwasher, but it still doesn’t want to work on occasions. He said he had to order parts for the fridge and return at a later date, which he did — twice more, in fact. He replaced two motherboards.
After about a month, he said he could replace everything in the fridge and it still might not work. His words were that they are shipped in from Turkey and are not made to last. Smeg has over complicated them.
We checked the warranty, and it had expired by a few months, making the products non-economically viable to repair.
So my warning to people considering buying Smeg products: maybe think twice.

I have bought a smeg fridge freezer, toaster and thought I would get a kettle. What a disappointment! Fridge and toaster are fine. The kettle bearing in mind is not cheap. The coating on the kettle bubbles when you boil it. This started about 6 months after we got it. Didn’t keep the receipt as it was fine when we received the kettle. Really really poor quality. I don’t mind paying money for good quality.

excellent customer service does still exist! Purchased large fridge Jan 2024 and the freezer compartment door handle broke off (or rather, I broke it off being a bit too heavy handed with the door iced up a bit) Anyhow, even though it was out of warranty I rang Smeg customer service and they sent me one out FOC and it arrived the following morning which was a Saturday. A pleasure to deal with.

I learnt such a lot about how to use my new Smeg oven efficiently. Clare was the most delightful host and really knowledgeable about all the different Smeg appliances. On top of that I had a delicious lunch prepared in front of us by Clare using Smeg products. I would really recommend attending a Smeg workshop.

So very disappointing that’s my opinion, after having 2 Smeg kettles in less than 3years and still don’t have a Smeg kettle with the Smeg brand letters on the side as they have all fallen off . We paid for a £35 kettle prior to the Smeg ones which lasted us over 4 years and we passed it onto our daughter who used for another 3years without trouble,only for her to change it for an over priced Smeg ,which she is having problems with now!. A neighbour of ours has had 2 smegs in less than 3years also. We also have the single toaster and it’s probably the least effective toaster we’ve ever had. Smeg is just an over priced brand , just not worth the costs , we paid over £300 for the kettle and toaster, don’t do it ,if your buying for the brand name ,it’s a waste of time it’ll fall of before long and no one will think you’ve paid all that cash for a Smeg

we purchased a new smeg cooker before xmas and had trouble with same. we contacted smeg highlighting the issues and requested a replacement cooker. Steph from smeg customer care was most helpful and dealt with the issue very promptly. We found the whole process with smeg especially Steph to be very easy and helpful.

I purchased a stainless steel smeg hob in June 2025. The hob looks nice and works very well. As it is stainless steel it does need constant cleaning to preserve it slick look. After using the hob one time I saw a stain appear. I used smeg spray cleaning product which usually did the trick but this stain seemed more stubborn than the others. I contact smeg and sent a picture, they (Steph) immediately sent me a smeg pasta x (paste) and a smeg cleaning cloth that arrived the following day. The paste worked a treat and the hob looks immaculate. I would just like to say thank you to Steph for sorting this out for me. 5 star treatment!
