Have been with them for over a year Bern very good prices and deals and service was good when needed.

Mostly happy. I pay on auto renew monthly, but on a daily basis, 5, 6 or even more times, the connection vanishes. Often at the most inopportune moments. Just to get here, to leave this review, it's taken me 20 minutes of trying to get back online. If you want a more steady connection, I'm afraid this is not for you.

My experience thus far has been extremely positive. I had a small problem when I started using Smarty but it was resolved with reasonable ease and since then the only thing that has sightly irritated me is the number of emails confirming my monthly payment(s) have been received.
One has got used over the years to service providers sending one notes about all sorts of irritating things generally about prices rises. So each time a I see there is a note from Smarty I expect it to be about a problem but it is only telling me all is well,
There are no surprises I am beginning to realise the service just clicks along and does exactly what they said it would and exactly what i wanted - Low cost, but high Value, reliable consistent delivery. Thank you XX

Left O2 to join Smartie to reduce my monthly payments. The process for activating the new SIM card and porting my number over was very easy and straight forward. The mobile coverage in my area is better on Three network than O2.

When I tried to activate my Smarty Sim I had a few issues. I received no response to 2 emails direct to their customer service (3rd & 8th April 2026). Eventually I managed to sort it by following network reset instructions several times which I found on Google, because Smarty's customer service is not live. I then seemed to have virtually no reception in work, outside work or anywhere in the town I work in or on the 10 mile journey home, so in 2/3 weeks I used no data and made no calls, even though Three is supposed to have a good signal.
I got so fed up with not-so-smart Smarty that I changed provider on a different network, which has live, responsive and helpful customer service, and an actual signal.
I want a total refund from Smarty, but they are useless and non-responsive. It's not much, but their unfit for purpose 'service' cost me a lot of time, effort and frustration, so it's the least they could do.

Just spent 2.5 hours on Smarty Chat trying to get them cancel the transfer of my number from EE to them. I swear the advisor was either not engaged in the conversation or was being deliberately awkward. because as soon I said I had copied and pasted the conversation into word and that I intended to send it to SMARTY Complaints, Ofcom and post it on Social Media, he suddenly became helpful and resolved the issue. This has resulted in my terminating my account with them. It was the most difficult and frustrating interaction with ANY company that I have ever had. I was previously with Smarty but this incident has totally put me off reinstating with them. It was horrendous. All I wanted to do was STOP the transfer of my number from EE - I intended to keep the plan with SMARTY just not transfer my number - No way it should have taken 2.5 hours. EDIT: the advisor ALSO said I would receive a transcript of the conversation - needless to say I didn't - However I was savvy enough to copy and paste the whole conversation, pasted it to a word document with screen shots - so I have absolute proof. UPDATE: Thanks for the response but if you think I am going to spend EVEN MORE TIME trying to make a complaint - when you could quite easily read the transcript, (or ask me for a copy) then I am not - IT WAS THE MOST DISGRACEFUL INTERACTION - am finding an alternative provider. I am NOT chasing around after SMarty.

My husband added me to his account but I was supposed to keep my number. For some reason they deleted my husbands phone number and gave him my number, so now he is getting all my messages and texts. When we told them this was a breach of data they said they would look into it. My husband tried to log into his account today as we can't make or receive calls, to find his account has been cancelled. We are on holidays and can't transfer money to our account as our bank needs to send us a code to our phones. We are now having to pack up to go home on our second day of holidays.
