Aura smart - would not recommend

We got the Aura Smart video doorbell installed that differed from what we were expecting or listed on the website, and no prior notification was provided about this change. Additionally, the installer did not leave a charger for the video doorbell, the two-way communication feature could not be made operational, and the door developed a fault within a week of installation.

I contacted the company multiple times via email, WhatsApp, and the landline number listed on their website, but I was unable to reach anyone or obtain a resolution.

Based on my experience, I was dissatisfied with the level of service and would be hesitant to use the company again.

WARNING

Warning - do not use this company. Alarm system completely inadequate. They glue the sensors on the doors and window......highly inadequate as they keep falling off. They give you appointment and never turn up, you check with them the day before and they say sorry we cannot make it now. I have an alarm system that does not work and they agreed to come and take it out and never arrived. One of the camera's also does not work now either. Currently in the process of going to the small claims court about this.

Initially Very Professional but have let me down

I initially purchased x2 solar panel cameras in April '25 - the company were great to deal with and the installer was very helpful. He arrived in his branded van and was very professional.
The cameras were fantastic so contacted them in July '25 to purchase x2 more of the same camera (I even waited x3 weeks for this model to come into stock again).
The same installer as before arrived (on a Sunday on his day off I may add) but arrived with the cameras that I specifically told the company that I didn't want, but as we were heading off on holiday and was gently pressured by the installer, I allowed him to install them (these also never came with SD cards like my first cameras).

I immediately contacted the company and they agreed to replace the cameras free of charge when the model I ordered comes back into stock.
Its now end of Sept and my messages are not being answered and I can't seem to be able to contact them.
Initially this would have been a x5 star review, but I'm currently left with a bitter taste with this company!
If they can resolve then this review will change to 4.5, but currently it's only a 3 star.

No show

Bought a doorbell on June 4th and booked the installation for June 18th at 1pm. It’s 5:30 now, no sign of them & they haven’t answered our calls/texts/emails.

Update: they got back to me, rescheduled us for July 3rd because it was their first available date and now today (July 1st) they have messaged to say they have no stock and won’t be coming until July 24th! Over 7 weeks since we bought and paid for the doorbell, and an over a month after they were originally supposed to come and no showed. I’ve never experienced customer service so poor.

Delighted to recommend....

I am delighted to recommend Aura Smart again.
I had my doorbell installed about three years ago and when I had a problem with sound quality, David returned and replaced it for me, no problem.
My mother also got one installed too and she is delighted with it
During the week, I had the new floodlight/camera installed and I am delighted with it! It is a great piece of mind and the precision is excellent!
I would have no hesitation in recommending David and Aura Smart.
A great job, thank you.

Would recommend

Got these done a year ago, can't remember the date. Installation was fast and professional.
I got a doorbell and two external cameras. Love the fact there was no subscription and no additional installation fee.
They all have been working perfectly. Absolutely zero issues. Would highly recommend.

Look no further

We have an older doorbell camera from these guys and it's still pretty good. Will probably upgrade to their newer ones.
Having recently gotten 2 cameras (not doorbells) from a DIFFERENT company to have a bit more security around the house, and seeing how awful their app is and they aggressively want you to sign up to an expensive subscription to even make the cameras work, I see just how good Smart Home Ireland/Aura are. I should've stuck with them for the extra cams. Lesson learned.

Ordered on Sunday

No delivery information, have to use the Shop app for delivery information, which is useless.
So it’s a 3 star for now, not on the quality or otherwise of the product. Beginning to look like a scam.
