Predatory Selling using bait and switch…

Predatory Selling using bait and switch business practices.

Contacted the support on their inaccurate listing of product mode in their listing descriptions and photos used. They want to use their bidding policies to get away from their inaccurate liability for gambling on each buys.

The mystery of SliBuy amazon returns...

With SliBuy it’s true you never know what to expect; but if you buy new then it’s a good chance that the product was only malfunction out of the box. So far I have repaired a lamp that had a piece upside down; an air purifier that had a loose wire; and a hoverboard that had one connection not plugged into the circuit. All I needed was a screw driver and all products work perfectly now. The only issue I’ve ran into are crazy shipping error prices and when buying a mixed lot the lamp was shattered and one box was crushed. Buy new and repair quick for a cheap new product.

Trustless

I purchased a Craftsman Air Compressor that was listed as "New/Other." The listing also stated that the compressor was tested and was working. The compressor I was shipped would not run, the oil fill cap was broken, and an air coupler was bad. The compressor had been run without oil and the piston was seized on the crankshaft. The entire listing was a lie. I could have bought an actual "New" compressor for less than I now have invested purchasing and repairing this one. I made several contacts with sliBuy attempting a resolution, no assistance was offered, and my account was Deactivated.

Photos do not accurately depict items…

Photos do not accurately depict items for auction. Out of 11 items received, 4 were unusable.
1) Comfee rice cooker appeared to be in perfect condition from photos. Reality: all interior parts were missing. Totally worthless.
2: Ordered a retractable mesh pet gate.
Reality: received an elevated mesh dog bed. It was impossible to determine that this item was a dog bed since it was completely disassembled.
3: ordered a shower seat, but impossible to tell that all the screws, washers, and brackets were missing.
Worthless
4: ordered a water purifier that appeared new in box. Reality: water tank smelled of rotten eggs even though I thoroughly washed it 3 times plus flushed the entire unit over 10 times.
Unusable.
There are still 2 items that I have not unpacked, so I don't know if they are functional.
In addition to the company not replying to my review, they immediately deactivated my account.
I am incredulous. It was an expensive lesson to learn, but one I shall not repeat.

OK..first things first

OK..first things first. This place sells "store returns". Both retail store and Amazon returns. They also sell consignment from online sellers. Store returns are either the customer did not want it, or the customer broke it. Sometimes a store customer will have a broken item, buy a new one, then put the broken one in the box and return it to the store. Slibuys failing is in their lack of description, good photos of items and their internal checking on the functionality of the items. Items marked as "new-other" are not necessarily so and I have gotten well used items when bidding on their description of "new-other". They need to beef up their descriptions, do a lot better on the photo's and at least test the item for a working condition. When I bid I rely on THEIR descriptions, category, and photo's. THEY are responsible for insuring that the item listed IS AS DESCRIBED and should be listed as working, non-working, or damaged. Another fault is they DO NOT offer any kind of refund, partial refund for selling a miscagorized item or accept a return for non-functional non-working items. Buying here is a real gamble so beware of electronic, mechanical items, and computers.

Buyers Beware

I bid on what was supposed to be an Apple iPad and won the auction for $90 plus shipping. When I opened the package, I was dismayed to find it was an iPad Mini, not an iPad. Furthermore, it had a crack on the front and was locked. I found a way to unlock it thanks to YouTube. Discovered that the iPad Mini was a first-generation model circa 2012, not a recent store return. When I contacted sliBuy’s Customer Service, I complained that item description was misleading, the 3 photos were so poor that the model and condition of the item could not be determined, and that the item was not a recent merchandise return but somebody’s old iPad Mini. They refused any responsibility and would not refund my money. Buyer beware on any electronics or “uninspected returns.”

my package came 75% empty of contents with emty boves in a large box

my package came 75% empty of contents. All the smaller boxes that should have held hardware were empty. So they just threw the empty boxes in there and labeled as new/other. Stay away from this company. They use to be "Karen's Barn" on ebay.
Ebay. They kept them legit for customers. Now it's a big scam selling junk. Only items listed as "shelf pull" are guaranteed as complete. everything else could be garbage with no return policy. Stick with ebay. They have your back.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!

I won 8 items from them. They were shipped in four packages. Three of the items were listed as new/other and they did not even power on. The fan I ordered came in with a broken globe. In the photos from the auction the globe was clearly not broken so it got broken in shipment. After contacting the manufacturer to try to get a replacement they said that they were no longer being made. One item was never shipped and they refused to send me another like item which they have because I see them on other auctions right now. The items on their website and not checked whatsoever and do not work and are useless to anybody bidding on them. I wouldn't be so upset if it was one item but thete were actually four items I couldn't use and one item didn't even come. They offered me a credit of about $15 but not back to my Visa card but in yhe form of a store credit. I will never order anything from them again. When they first started I bought lots of stuff from them and basically it was all great and a good price. Now they take in store returns, don't check them, and don't know if all the pieces are there so you're stuck with stuff that can't be repaired. Spare parts can't be bought for them. Buyers beware.

I've been burned several times on this…

I've been burned several times on this site, so yes it's a hard lesson learned. Bought an office chair listed as new with pics of a sealed box, but when arrived its missing everything except a seat and back. What the hell, I'm I going to do with that??. This is beyond ridiculous. I would've thought that there is some sort of quality control since the vendor started their own business outside of EBAY. I would not buy, from this seller unless you enjoy surprises.

It's worse than one star if I have the…

It's worse than one star if I have the option to mark the services!
Bought 2 Vac a few weeks ago. They were pretty big sizes. I understand that they wanna save the shipping cost to tape the 2 big boxes together sent out.
I'm not sure how could they tape such 2 boxes together, well, at least the poor customer service said so. If that's true, at least, they should tape nicely and secure. The result was I only received one box. Called the customer service, the result was, as they claimed, they sent out the 2 boxes together. AND, once the package out, it's not their response regarding the customer received or not. By the way, the attitude of the customer service likes a queen.
So, the situation forced me to contact UPS, the carrier, as a receiver. Filed the claim. Unfortunately, UPS only can dealing with sender, which was understandable. UPS did send the claim documents to the sender in order to refund the lost. As today, I still haven't heard anything for Slibuy regarding my lost and UPS refund!
It's common sense, the customer like me, paid the merchant and the shipping, expecting to receive the item and services I paid for. Why it's my response to claim with the carrier when I didn't receive the item I paid for?!! When I did claim with the carrier, why the merchant didn't follow up the process to pass the refund to the customer like me?!!
Stay away such company. it doesn't care the customers at all!!!

Don't care about earning customers and content with losing them

Beware! They will sell you junk/scrap as good used product, then charge you a 15% commission, 100-150% shipping, and then a payment fee (unless you want to spend $50 to wire them money). Then, they will say the product was consigned to them and there are no returns. They also change their terms all of the time, without notification. Oh, and when they do ship to you, it will be the worst packaging ever. Sometimes, they will put a glass tea kettle in a box big enough for a teenager to fit in--with no packaging. So, it will arrive broken without a doubt. Same for electronics, printers, computers, monitors, etc. They figure it is easier to file a claim with UPS or FedEx than spend the time or money to properly package before shipping. So, what are you getting for the $20-300 shipping charge? NOTHING!

If a business wants to sell something as "good" or "tested", then they need to stand behind it. Their customer service lacks and they are too busy to actually provide anything specific to the customer. They'd rather deal in bulk. Oh, and if you complain or file a charge-back, you will be banned from their site.
Just steer clear. Once banned, you will have no record to what you bought, what was supposed to be included, etc.

There are enough other sites that strive to do the right thing and not only earn your business, but keep it. Go with someone else and avoid the frustration because even if you happen to have 1 or 2 decent transactions at SLIBUY, you will end up with more frustrating and costly losses.

Worst customer service ever

Today was the first day I have ever spoken to any employee. I had to deal with 2 extremely rude employees. I was told to call to give permission for someone to pick up an order of mine and neither employee acted professional. I should not have been lectured about someone else. I will not be there so I cannot tell them what the pick up will be like. I should have been transferred to the correct person instead of the first girl handing the phone off saying “you take this I can’t handle this” because she would not let me give permission and be done with the call. The employees have not needed my permission to pick any of my past orders up because I have sent the email of the invoice each time. Neither employee would let me tell them this and only made excuses when I started to attempt to tell them. Then the second one told me I was being rude and if this keeps up then my order can’t be picked up. Neither would give me their name. Both employees need to be handled properly and retrained if they think treating anyone like that in customer service is ok.

Can find awesome stuff for good deals!!

I love this website! They are Shorewood Liquidators, and they used to be on Ebay (where I was a buyer too!) but this is their own auction website. They offer store returns and occasionally shelf pull new items for auction.

Lots of furniture and electronics, some designer purses, etc. Shipping can be pricey though if you live out of state like I do, so pay attention to that, but they let you combine 5 items for a 50% shipping discount.

My advice is read listings and look at pictures VERY CAREFULLY! Even then occasionally the listing information may be incorrect. But, you can always ask a question (email) about any item and I have almost always gotten a response email back from the company within 12-24 hours.
