My experience was amazing, from the staff and the atmosphere it was amazing. They really are so kind and genuine.

I found Skylar Modeling on Instagram. I asked any contact I could think of to ask if this was a legitimate school. I was not able to verify it was through anyone I knew. I went anyway, and I’m so glad I did!
This is not only a legitimate school, but it is also an exceedingly professional school. You are put at ease the moment you step foot in the studio and in two days they help you begin your modeling journey.
The hair and makeup artists, photographers and most of all the coaching on how to take digitals was amazing.
The school ran on time and was meticulously scheduled to maximize the time with the class. Come prepared to learn and be on your feet most of day one. If you are unsure of what outfits to bring be sure to ask at least a week in advance if any outfit needs to be changed out. For my session, the advice was a jeans outfit, a black dress and an all white outfit. The all white outfit came out the best.
The instructors were exceedingly positive and supportive. They had an infectious energy that put everyone at ease.
Also, the support offered after the class to continue learning, connecting and attending castings is super helpful. I could not have even thought about entering this industry without Skylar Modeling.

Attending Skylar Modeling’s Model Weekend was truly one of the most transformative experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I was met with an atmosphere that was warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive. Every staff member and coach was not only kind and encouraging, but brought real, lived experience to the table—there were no scripts or textbooks. They taught from the heart, from experience. There was no book—just raw, honest, practical insight from professionals who know this industry inside and out.

I came into the weekend with a lot of reservations. I was nervous about entering the modeling world, uncertain of my potential, and full of questions. But Oksana, Dennis, and the rest of the Skylar team took the time to listen, answer every concern, and guide me with patience and empathy. They coaxed me out of my shell and helped me tap into a confidence I didn’t even know I had.

The techniques they taught completely transformed the way I carry myself. I now know how to confidently and professionally walk the runway. Their approach to posing opened up what feels like an unlimited range of dynamic, creative poses. The mock runway show gave us a real-world experience of being onstage, helping to prepare us mentally and physically for actual shows.

One of the most eye-opening parts was the test shoot and photoshoot. We got to experience multiple styles of fashion shoots, working with world-class photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists, and wardrobe stylists. From prepping outfits to practicing interviews and meeting a real modeling agent—it was a full immersion into the real world of modeling.

And the support doesn’t stop after the weekend ends.

Skylar provides continued growth through their community board, exclusive modeling group, and weeks of self-paced online training. These courses cover everything from confidence training, runway techniques, posing, and social media branding, to the business of modeling, working with agencies, and finding real jobs. On top of that, there are ongoing casting opportunities and networking events to keep us connected and progressing long after the weekend.

The sense of community I found is priceless. I met and bonded with aspiring models from all over the globe—people I now call friends and teammates. We’ve built a genuine support system, a model family that cheers each other on every step of the way.

My experience is great. From the beginning, there is a clear structure to the program. Amazing group of mentors who are supportive and encouraging to train the best techniques, tools, mindset and posing instruction. The program is very genuine and 100% authentic. I recommend to everyone who wants to learn the best way to enter the modeling industry. There are no shortcuts only technique and lot of grit. But the team is there to help always. Skylar modeling has given me the most amazing modeling learning experience. Having 10+ models to work with in one sitting, they still made everyone feel special and comfortable, making sure everyone learns at their pace. Our model coaches were more than supportive, and helped everyone to get comfortable with one another, which created a family like atmosphere. I couldn’t have picked a better place to begin my modeling career. I am forever grateful for Skylar Modeling for everything.

After completing the Skylar Modeling School, I now know a lot more about the business, as well as how to walk, posture, and even interact with other models. I've heard repeatedly that the sector is really fake, you shouldn't trust most people, and you should exercise extreme caution. Dennis went above and beyond to ensure that I felt at ease throughout both our initial interview and the entire model weekend. Along with giving me training and boosting my confidence, he also made me feel like I had met a new friend. If you want to pursue a career in modeling, this should be the first thing you do, in my opinion. It serves as a crash course on how to succeed in this field. I feel grateful to have found such a supportive and genuine mentor in Dennis. He not only taught me the necessary skills for modeling but also emphasized the importance of building authentic relationships in the industry. Thanks to him, I now feel prepared to navigate the sometimes deceptive nature of the business while staying true to myself.
