So two adults, three children.
Spent over a hundred pounds on the day, entry tickets, 3 rides each for the children, one hook a duck/toy thing each.

Rude staff in the childrens tent.

Zero supervision on all of the fair rides, except for the Sizzler ride, (he was pleasant and smiled and made sure everyone was safely seated).

Bags checked for alcohol on way in, but clearly did not check for drugs, and most areas within the place people were smoking cannabis, so not family friendly or pleasant for non smokers.

Singers were good, no other real entertainment between midday and 4pm that I could see anywhere at all, other than some BMX tricks.

Rides were £5/6 each person, so extortionate prices compared to a normal fairground (which these rides were).

£11 for 2 hours on the bouncy castles. Completely overcrowded, unsupervised, small children crying and unable to get off due to older kids doing flips etc, people hurt. Very poorly managed and unsafe.

Our children were so upset by rude staff that told them off for playing catch with a beanbag, in a 'childrens tent', along with a dozen other children. Children left the tent in tears and didnt want to stay at the event.

Honestly it was an utter waste of money.
We left and went to Ferry Meadows for free and they had a great few hours.

Will never attend this event again.
Would give zero stars if an option. Probably the worst organised event I've ever taken them to.

We attended the festival at Belvoir Castle on the 1st August and I can safely say, I wouldn’t go again.
Price of the family ticket was good however the price of everything else on the day was crazy.
Lots of food vendors that were extortionate- would have preferred to have taken a picnic but email stated this was not allowed!! Rides - expensive, glad I only have one child.
The main event…..well when you see lots of balloons on the advert and then only actually see two inflated that were not ‘glowing’, was definitely a waste of time waiting around for the main event.
Very limited amount of fair rides as well so overall wouldn’t go again and not very family friendly due to the prices.

After seeing all the negative reviews, I was sceptical about attending the event. However, myself, husband and 10 year old had a lovely time here. Spent from opening to closing. Plenty going on for the kids. Yes the balloons didn't go up due to the wind, yes food and drink is expensive but its a festival things happen, prices are expensive and you come to accept that! It was packed. Music was great and the singers kept us entertained.

Felt like a scam. Just awful and overpriced average £6 per person on the fairground rides and the “sky glow” finale was abysmal, honestly don’t waste your money.

After reading a lot of the reviews on here I was apprehensive about going to SkyGlow at Lincolnshire, but I was pleasantly surprised and had a great time.
The festival itself comprises largely of a fair, food and drink stalls, a few festival type stalls selling hats, toys ect, an area for the balloons and the stage.

We arrived late (I took the warnings of expense on here so planned to get there for 5 ish, thinking 4-5 hours would be long enough and it was.

So, the food: Some of it amazing (loaded fries was great as you could get a wristband for £5 for unlimited ‘punch’ (which was orange or blackcurrant) - their fries were amazing! Burger vans - mainly overpriced and the same as what you would get anywhere (£10 for a burger, chips were £5). The bar was not cheap at £8 a drink and we had 3 drinks each.

The fair: My son and his cousin went on the fun house, bumper cars, the swings and another (midnight something can’t remember the name) and had lots of fun! £5 per ride (bumper cars was £5 per car)

The bands - good fun and plenty of people dancing! We saw the last two on stage which were Busted experience and the madness tribute. We were dancing and quite a few others were - I think this set the atmosphere for us and you can’t expect your level of enjoyment to be set by others.

The balloons - i think the organisers need to be clearer on what visitors can expect. It’s very difficult to get one in the air and inflating it isn’t much better especially with a slight breeze. They managed to get Sly Fox inflated so we could see him and at 9.30 the penguins were inflated which were amazing to see - it’s not often you can a chance to see them that close.

There was a circus area (under a marquee with a big top type canopy) with a large shaded area and things going on for kids. I spotted bumblebee near the stage attracting lots of attention and there was a foam party somewhere (lots of people wandering around after 5.30 covered in it!) but we didn’t spot where.

A note on facilities: one toilet area with 28 toilets available, including one for disabled access. Drinking water was clearly signposted near the entrance. Plenty of security wandering around also which was good to see. Bags were checked on entry along with tickets.

Final thoughts - my three star review reflects the organisation and communication. A site map (app?) would have been useful. Not as large an area as some of the more adult based festivals I go to but could have done with this. A bit more organisation and better use of the space (the stunt bikes were next to the haunted house ride with loud scary music playing so we couldn’t even hear the engine of the motorbike), more communication (or clearer advertising) regarding the balloons - I know how difficult they are to manage so got what I expected but many people don’t understand this. I could, however, hear the team trying so hard to get them inflated so the crowd could see them which was great. More organisation and thought going in to some other areas - quiet area ect and this could get a lot bigger than it is now. (If the organisers do see this take a look at the Yungblood festival site tour from 2 years ago for some ideas) - looking forward to giving 4 stars next year 👍

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Absolutely shocking day. I expected the food to be expensive and catered for that. No kids entertainment that was advertised. Stewards had no idea where anything was. The funfair was ridiculously priced £5-£8 per ride that lasted less than a few minutes. Bungee trampoline £7 for 5 minutes!.. no bluey visit, kids rave as advertised. Music was a complete shambles. Ed sheeran was the only one my kids were looking forward to ( as only current singer they knew) but he never showed, no explanation either over £200 spent & we ended up going early due to the kids being bored and glad we did as apparently the balloons didn't even make an appearance! I never usually do reviews but I urge you NOT to waste your money!

Where do i start got there 12pm all 3 kids booked onto a inflatable course (was just a few bounce castles in a line so that was disappointing we was hungry so looked for food 3 kids 2 adults a burger and a drink was about £75 thats just lunch next 5 hrs spent a total of £250 as each ride cost us £6 per kid 5 rides each then got a few ice creams and drinks as it was hot and we had spent 250 by 5pm so packed up and left to go to a pub as we was all starving how can I spend 250 and all be hungry still you think airports are bad this place trumps them burger and loaded fries £27 and tasted rank cheap thin salty burger its day light robbery ! Acts was boring its just a travelers fun fair with a tiny stage in corner 99 percent of things on that field costs you money and lots of it the only thing I found free was a stinky portaloo ! We tried to go steady as prices was crazy and still let them rob me if £250 warning to all avoid and especially family's ! And stay clear of the fair games where you can win a teddy there all cons 5hrs there saw no one win a big teddy could of gone alton towers for less and had more fun !

Definitely wouldn’t go again or recommend it, as it felt like an overpriced funfair with significant false advertising.

The live music didn’t match what was promoted, with a changed running order, missing acts and altered sets. Advertised attractions like the big top circus, hot air balloons and face painting were absent. After a couple of expensive rides, there was little to do but sit on a blanket. The only positives were an excellent Belvoir Farm burger and cleaner-than-expected toilets (!)

Overall, it was disappointing and poor value for money.

We went to the Belvoir event and it was a shambles.
In the time we were there we should have seen 3 music acts and 2 extreme bike shows. All we got was one song from a tribute act that sang his song and then walked off stage. No bike shows and no Big top tent with the Bluey disco or the glow rave that was advertised. Rides and food massively overpriced. Weird how the stuff that cost additional money was all working fine but the stuff that was supposed to be included with the ticket either didn't happen or was totally lacking. The balloons were nowhere to be seen and to top the day off there were people fighting, what a lovely family friendly day.
Will never go to another SkyGlow and would urge everyone else to stay clear.

The ‘extreme bike show’ was a bloke doing wheelies and another bloke on a push bike on some little ramp, totally rubbish, set up a huge arena for it, but had the bike and ramp tucked in the Corner, we were able to see the bike show but most couldn’t, but wasn’t worth the time we stood there anyway.

Advertised as everything included lots of activities and workshops ect, there was nothing, a tent with a few hula hoops and that’s it.

Paid £12 per child pre booked for the inflatable theme park, but they were selling this for £10 on the day, and was nothing more than a couple of beat up bouncy castles crammed full with kids.

There was absolutely nothing to do there that was free like your led to believe. Qued 20 mins for a a 30 second ride on a fire engine but let the que once we saw it was £7.50 per kid!

Was there no more than 50 minutes, 20 mins wasted on the rubbish bike thing, 20 mins wasted on the fire engine que, and 20 mins waiting for the toilet.

Didn’t even bother trying to get the over priced food, left and took my very disappointed kids out for dinner instead. Wasted time, money and fuel. NEVER AGAIN

We left today early (belvoir castle Grantham skyglow fest ) , because of how violent the fighting was. Security assaulted, paramedics assaulted..numerous police called. All in plain sight of children. Security on gate very nearly run down at speed. Only to find out it was the event organisers/owners of skyglo that where the people fighting and instigating the appaling fighting and violence amongst one another. It was like watching a brawl at kick out time at a night club, not a family festival. Horrible that my child and many others had to witness it and that our day was cut short. The woman " the manager" was throwing punches left right and centre, the men where assaulting emergency workers. Utter disgrace !

I could not find anywhere to leave a review on the 'coffee & cake' stand.
I waited half hour for 1 cup of normal tea, I understand its busy.
However the people behind me were served there coffee drinks and then the people behind them, I flagged this to the lady and I was accused of pushing past people as there is a list and apparently there were 4 drinks ahead of mine. The customers that were behind me said they defintly joined the queue after me as I was described by the staff member for the next customers to queue behind.
I asked for a refund she said no as my drink is being made.....it wasn't as the bloke was making more coffee!
I know it may sound very pathetic by what really upset me is being accused of lying and being refused a refund as my over priced, cup of lies was being made.

If there was an option to give a zero score, Skyglow at Belvoir castle would earn it.
The organisers should hang their heads in shame, we spent less than one-hour on site.
Health and safety had gone.out the window, live power cables strewn accross the ground, only one had a cable protection channel. Even a 230v cable laying (unprotected over the exit road).
Water station without water, lots of security on the entrance searching bags.
This was just a fun-fair with rides fighting to see who could play the loudest distorted music.
If you go to one of these events then EVERYTHING on site is excessively over priced.
My experience of this i would describe the whole experience as a scam and would advise spending your hard earned money elsewhere.

We were very disappointed as soon as we walked in. We could hear a person singing which was out of tune and tbh annoying. My eight year old immediately said she doesn't like it. It is a glorified fair. We literally left within the first 10 minutes.
It is a genuine scam. Most of the things promised were missing. We paid extra £13 for bouncy castle and a pathetic and old looking bouncy castle was up and the rest were in the ground . They said it was too hot. It wasn't that hot....
If you can take away one thing it's that do something else on the day. Don't waste your money.

This was the most disappointing event, I've attended in a long time. It was such a let down, the pictures make it look like hot air balloons are up and around all day, this is not the case. They was meant to inflate at 9pm, to which we was told they couldn't because of wind. So the three, YES THREE, balloons they had was not going up and the basket flame would do the lights to music. Well I think the pilots were asleep as the music was playing but no basket flames in time to it or co ordinated in anyway. Dont waste your time or money on tickets.

We left SkyGlow feeling very disappointed. We bought "early bird" tickets believing we were getting the best price, only to see tickets sold for up to 50% less closer to the event.

The event itself didn't match our expectations based on the advertising. The "inflatable theme park" was little more than a single overcrowded bouncy castle, several attractions felt underwhelming, and the overall family entertainment was nowhere near what had been promoted.

To make matters worse, once inside we found the prices for rides, inflatables and food had been massively inflated. The funfair rides were extremely expensive, food and drinks were heavily overpriced, and we weren't allowed to bring our own refreshments on a very hot day, leaving families with little choice but to pay the prices being charged.

Overall, it felt very poor value for money and fell well short of the family festival experience we had been promised. We have requested a refund and, unfortunately, won't be returning.

Well, im so glad I got half price early bird tickets.. but even that was a rip off!!!
An absolute money grabbing scam in every way, with hardly anything as advertised.. NO big top with circus skills, NO inflatable funfair, NO kids entertainment apart from rides at £6 a pop, overpriced food stalls and £6 for a can of warm cider at the bar, stated NO food or drink to be brought in, but families around us had full picnics ffs! A couple of the music tributes were good, but the majority were appalling especially the headline Madness duo who were so off their faces on something they could barely stand let alone sing.. and then the supposed main event with hot air balloons was one single effort with just out of time burners from empty baskets!!
Reckon Trading Standards are going to have a field day on these shysters 🤬

Scam do not book this..... i Can't give any lower score if I tried.
1, paid extra for inflatable session only to find 1 bouncy castle that was over run with big kids running wild and to be told no other children was allowed on. Very upset 2yr
2, Bluey and Bingo disappeared while we was waiting in the que 30mins only to get to the front to find out they had gone and never came back upset 2yr again.
3, Food and drink over price £8 a pint warm cans nothing healthy (for kids)
4, Acts and sounds system not great
5, No Balloons the whole reason we was there heard a semi an announcement around 8ish went over to where the hot air balloons was taking off to be told it wasn't happening because of a breeze (it's just a big rip off)
No one on site to talk to, security were rude, told to email compliant and might get a refund?

Having seen some of the reviews was a tad nervous but we had a fantastic day, yeah the food was expensive but if you put that to one side and just enjoy a good day out.

Music was good, some of the acts were really good, bike show was great my son and I really enjoyed it and watched it twice which was good as the two show were different. We managed to go into a hot air balloon basket with a meet and greet even had a go at the flames 🔥

It was too windy to launch the show in the evening but they did manage to get one up and do a show.

Over all a great day out for the family and the tickets are very cheap so can't argue with that.

This is a glorified fun fair with an entrance fee. Nothing that they advertise for kids is even there. They are avertising different days in the same venues. And looking at other reviews it looks like this company is travelling around the country scamming many people. Dont waste your money. I ended up taking my daughter and her friends to the local arcades and they had so much more fun. I wouldnt bother emailing them for refunds, every person i have spoken to are sending emails about this company. I expect they wont be replying to the hundreds of complaints they are undoubtedly going to constantly receive. I'd contact your bank for a charge back if you intend on cancelling.
