Visited the Skygarden today

Visited the Skygarden today. Very rude lady working at the front security. Spoke to us in a very patronising and rude manner. She obviously thinks every one is a tourist and she can speak to them in a very rude way. She needs extra customer service training as she is representing front of house.

Darwin Brasserie

Darwin Brasserie- wanted this restaurant for window seats specifically for the view, as the photos online show a stunning panorama. In reality, the restaurant is set far away from the actual building windows, so even if you are seated “by the window,” all you see is the interior of the building and other people, with only a tiny glimpse of the so-called “beautiful view” we paid for.

The food portions are extremely small, the taste is nothing special, and the prices are outrageously high. There is very little variety on the menu, and we kept hearing “we don’t have this” or “we don’t have that.” The portions are absurdly small compared to the excessive prices.

Paying £120 for three people to eat very little food of poor quality in a cold environment — I had to keep my winter jacket on the entire time — is an absolute rip-off. This place is a complete scam. I will never return and will warn everyone I know to avoid it.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Avoid

⭐☆☆☆☆ Avoid — Disorganised and Disappointing Experience at Sky Garden via DesignMyNight

Booked tickets online through DesignMyNight for an evening at Sky Garden to celebrate a friend’s birthday — drinks, live music, and a good atmosphere. Everything seemed smooth until arrival.

Getting there on a Sunday evening was easy, but at security, the staff looked confused and told us to speak to reception. The receptionist checked our tickets (which were real — even saved in my Apple Wallet) and then informed us the event had been cancelled. No prior notice, no email, nothing. I was told we’d “get a refund” and to contact them via email if not — but we could still “go upstairs and look around.”

Since we were already dressed up for the occasion, we went upstairs anyway. The place was full of people there just for the view, with most tables and seats reserved. The concierge tried to help, saying we could “walk around” and maybe get a table in 45 minutes. We eventually got a drink — nice but overpriced — and soon realised the atmosphere was completely flat. Definitely not the kind of vibe you’d expect for a birthday celebration or what was advertised.

We let the concierge know we were leaving — honestly, the whole experience felt like a complete waste of time and money. To make things worse, no refund email ever came through, and there was no apology or goodwill gesture for the inconvenience.

For a venue and platform like this, I expected far better organisation, communication, and customer service. Sadly, it was a huge letdown.

⚠️ AVOID — not worth the hassle or disappointment.

Fabulous free activity definitely worth going for the views

Whilst I can’t comment on dining or drinks options, I can comment on the sky garden itself. For a free activity in London it is well worth a visit. Yes it is busy but well organised, didn't have to wait long, it’s good to note they will not let you in early though so arrive on time. Didn’t feel rushed spent plenty of time wandering round. Fabulous views over the whole of London. Would be worth going later to watch sunset if you have time. You do have to go through security checks on the way in but it was very quick. Worth a visit for a fabulous view over London.

False Advertising!

I bought a ticket with a glass of champagne to celebrate my husband’s 41st birthday on June 13.
When we go to the bar to request a glasses of champagne I asked for one regular and one rosé as he does prefer rosé.
Suddenly, I was surprised by the barman saying that it must be the regular one and not the rosé
It’s weird because in the ticket it is written a glass of champagne. It does not mention white or rosé.
So we got the regular champagne however it was warm at room temperature, which is unacceptable to drink a champagne either So this is an acceptable and very frustrating.
I do not recommend this place for any sort of celebration with drinks included and also please do a specify the type of champagne that you sell. This is unfair. I would expect a full refund for this.

Birthday celebrations- ruined

Where do we start?
Front of house-shocking attitude, no manners
Waiter-centrally hovering .told them we had a seed an allegory in the group- offered seeded break.
Bar staff- ordered drinks to “ we willl bring them over “ waited 10 minutes , went and got the drinks ourselves.
Watching staff argue with each other
Watched waitress cleaning tables/chairs with the same cloth and wiping round the table decor.
Bill- laughable , asked about £32 for soft drinks turns out it was 2 alcoholic drinks

Only up side was the food/views

Save your money rather than visit this “greasy spoon” in the sky

Pop over the Shard see how it’s done……

Food mediocre at Darwin Brasserie views were good

Lovely views on one side (big ben just visible!), clean bathrooms, the food was mediocre. We had both the adult and children's menu. The prices are very high for what it is (£12 for glass of wine etc). Our local gastro pub has far better food, and drinks are normal priced.
