My Doctor recommended I go to
Hospital immediately this morning, having experienced red, sore to touch, & stabbing needle like pain in my right eye when blinking for the past five days. GP did mention Simon Kleyn in Earls Colne, but then said he would probably be too busy to see me today, so said to go to Broomfields.
After four and a half hours of being passed from pillar to post at the hospital and not seeing an eye specialist. Also told I may not even get to see anyone today, I decided to try calling Simon Kleyn in Earls Colne & spoke to Karen, who was wonderfully helpful and got me an appointment at their Frinton branch today at 4pm.
We dashed from Chelmsford to Frinton, and straight away was seen by Simon, who was extremely professional, diagnosing my problem as an infection & prescribed antibiotics .
He also said he could have seen me earlier this morning, therefore avoiding our 4 hours in A&E 😩
Amazing service from Simon and team! Highly recommended.

Excellent service. I had an appointment for a swelling on my eyelid that Simon immediately identified as a cyst. He explained very clearly that he was able to carry out a small procedure to burst the cyst with a hypo needle. Painless and successfully got rid of it. It only took a few minutes: brilliant

Having injured my eye with a tree branch I was treated within half an hour by Simon. He assessed the level of corneal injury, treated it and gave reassurance as to the severity and expected recovery time. How marvellous to be able to receive such first class treatment and kindly care so quickly.

I was seen by Simon after being referred by my G.P. I had a prompt consultation and Simon was very kind and explained everything to me.The receptionist was very helpful too.I would definitely recommend this practice.Anne Greenaway

Following a detached retina in June it has become really important to me to have regular checks, Simon was recommended to me and I was not disappointed, very pleased with the thorough and professional way in which my examination was conducted, with clear explanations and advice

Friendly helpful staff, got an appointment the same day I called, very efficient service. Even phoned the next day to make sure I had got my antibiotics that had been prescribed.

I contacted Simon Kleyn opticians as I was experiencing eye problems, they booked me into a same day appointment and Simon, the optician, gave me answers and solutions which other opticians including a well known high street brand had failed to identify. Simon has referred me for further treatment and I now have a routeway to potentially resolve my condition. Super service and a great friendly team at Frinton opticians.
