Skinny Tan Reviews 

Received as part of a tester package and the tan smelled great but the colour was too warm and did give me one patchy leg. I will say I'm not the biggest fan of tanning that's not mousse though so that may have been the issue

‘Skinny tan’ is my all time favourite tanning product.
After using other brands for years, I decided to splurge out & give skinny tan a go!!! & I wasn’t disappointed. I firstly purchased the ‘Strawberry & Cream’ mousse, took a couple of goes/applications for it to look good as it went on clear, but once applied it does leave a layer of moisture so you know where you’ve applied it & is not streaky at all.
I’ve since ordered the bundles (instant tan, gradual tan, drying spray, back & hand mitt, exfoliater & face drops)

It’s the first time that people have commented & said that ‘it looks so natural’

I use the skinny tan face drops which I love. Just ran out and found a bargain set with 3 sets of different drops, a free item of the face elixir which is gorgeous and a free brush! All for a bargain price.
I use every morning in my moisturiser. I occasionally use at night but find it can go streaky overnight.
I prefer to use in the morning, then apply my makeup, that way it stays put.
I don’t use the brush, I like to use my hands but wash them immediately or you will have orange hands. Love love love this stuff 👌

EDIT: Updating my review to a full 5 stars. Despite two of 6 items arriving damage, I still would say the customer service is second to none. I got in touch with Skinny Tan about the damaged items and almost immediately, they dispatched replacements to me with no grudging like some companies. Also, I have tried the products that were intact (I used the tan-primer and applied the gradual tanner after my shower then used the tan drying spray after.) The next day I woke up with a gorgeous glow! I’m fair skinned and it wasn’t too dark or obvious. After multiple showers, it didn’t budge for a while and I cannot be happier. I’ll continue to be a customer with Skinny Tan. I’ve used it on my whole body and face and have never had a reaction like some other posters claim; and I have VERY sensitive skin. Thanks Skinny Tan, you have a customer for life in me!! 5*.

I got an amazing deal on the Skinny Tan Facebook page and I got the dry mist spray, 2 gradual tanners, a pre-tan primer, the velvet mitt and the coconut mist tan spray! All that for £24. I can’t fault Skinny Tan’s amazing deals but I’m absolutely gutted that 2 of the bottles have leaked, I’m left with just over half a bottle of the coconut mist and a damaged bottle and box of the gradual tanner :-( I haven’t even got to try them out yet, devastated.

Can’t wait to try the products though.

Patchy and uneven look Worst product the night before a wedding.

I love this product although I am very pale I use medium mouse . For me it is streak free I have people asking where I,ve been on holiday which speaks volumes. I am 48 years old and have used so many products over the last 35 years expensive and cheap !!! But this is now my go to .

Ordered ‘bundle’ as a gift 6 days ago, still not been despatched…after numerous emails advised they hope it will arrive within the next 3-5 days, items purchased as part of an 18th birthday gift. No way it will be here in time. Poor communication, poor service. Will not be purchasing from this company again.

First time user of skinny tan. Not impressed. Like others I've come out in an itchy rash. Taking anti histamines. Hoping it will calm down so that I can use another product before graduation on Friday. I would be happy for a full refund!

I placed an order for a bundle offer but as I paid for it ,part of the order (the free gifts) disappeared from my basket and I only received part of it.
When I contacted them by email they said if I paid the difference and another £4.99 for delivery they would send the remaining order. That was on 30/5/22 and it’s now the 28/6/22 after numerous emails of the parcel lost in transit I am still trying to speak to a manager but they will only email.
This is a very poor service and I will not be using them again !!

I must agree that the prospect it’s self is good as it dosent leave streaky parts on your skin,however the taste of the tan is disgusting!!you tan your face and the taste does not leave your lips or mouth!even my boyfriend has to stop kissing my body as the taste was so bad!

Skinny tan what happened to your tan? I used to use your tan religiously for years and got the most wonderful compliments, after having my daughter I took a break and came back to tanning, I treated myself to some of your dark tanning mouse than I always used in the past. The formula has definitely changed in a year! It left me with the most vile chemical/metallic taste in my mouth after tanning my face, I can still taste the chemical when I go to eat. I have tried absolutely everything to get rid of this taste and no luck. Also… I went to kiss my husband and yep it is a definite mood killer! All he could taste was this disgusting metallic/chemical and the smell/taste seem to stick to my skin even after several showers!

The tan used to have a pleasant smell, the colour guide different. It feels cheap now not the luxury tan you used to be. I hate to say it but I will have to move to another brand! As much as I love the colour I can’t do the cheap chemical smell and I’m just hoping I can get rid of it!

Having used Skinny tan in previous years I loved the finish and gives an even tan which was streak free, it doesn't smell like other tanning solutions either which was a good thing however I think you may have changed the formula as I had a reaction to the application and after only 2 hours I had to scrub off, 4 days later and a lot of antihistamine I am finally starting to stop itching and the rash is subsiding, all I can compare it to is heat rash. I'm very upset as I loved your product but alas I have to go back to St Tropez or fake bake... Skinny Tan go back to the old formula it was a winner 😁

My favourite fake tan brand 🙌 I'm a fake tan addict so I've tried a lot of tans over the years, and this is by far my favourite 😍 I use the tan&tone wonder serum it's amazing it lasts for a week for me. I sleep in it and rinse it off in the morning because I like a deep deep tan. 100% recommend 👌

The tan is even but oh my god the taste is rancid and you can’t get rid of it!! My water bottle tastes like it now from fake tanning my face! I’ve brushed my teeth and tried everything and literally cannot get rid of it. It’s disgusting.

Having skin very pale, have used fake tan for over 20 years, so know the procedure. Exfoliate, moisturise, and apply and let dry. All of which I did. This morning my tan is streaky, all over. Not just on my legs, everywhere. Read so many good reviews, but is expensive, got it at Superdrug at buy one get one half price. I can honestly say that my usual Cheap sunkissed gradual tan from body care is so so much better. Got a shower earlier, without exfoliating, everywhere I’d put it on came off in streaks.
Like I said I’ve used many many fake tans.
This is the worst.

The best tan but leaves an awful taste so bad it made me sick!

This tanner went on beautifully but I am very fair skinned and it dried very dark despite using a very small amount. I would have preferred a lighter shade that I could build up gradually. I wish I had only bought one tube instead of the bundle of 3.

I used skinny tan for the first time & was not impressed, went on very slimy & took so long to dry, about an hour after application I came out in a raised itchy rash which has never happened with any other products I’ve used before..

I bought the Strawberry Skinny Whip tan and it is a beautiful colour but unfortunately I, like others, came out in a itchy, raised rash across most of my body a few hours after application. Really gutted as the colour is brilliant. There seem to be a lot of people having a reaction so I think Skinny Tan need to look into their ingredients. I have used many other tans including fake bake, st tropez, st moritz, bondi sands, utan&tone and I have never had a skin reaction like this.

I love the product but the packaging is shocking as it leaks!
I’ve been using skinny tan for years and no matter how many times I’ve taken it away with me it’s leaked, I’ve complained several times and never hear back! I’m so annoyed as it’s gone on clothing and inside my luggage. I’m sure I’m not the only person this happens to! I’m sick of it, I recently got one of the dry mists to try and it was really good. I ONLY USED IT ONCE came to use it the next day and it had completely leaked and emptied into my drawer at home, assuming because it wasn’t stood up. It’s a joke how many times it’s happened to me! Totally unimpressed!
