Cancelled the direct debit and told…

Cancelled the direct debit and told them that it will be cancelled. They said thats fine but you need to pay 1 month cancellation fee. I said it was fine. They said they didnt receive the fee today. I said fine I will pay the fee same day. Now they wanted to charge an extra £20 on top of the month. I said for what? Then they threatened a bad score on my perfect credit rating. Disgusting practise. I told them they don't deserve any payment at all.....I didnt use the service and cancelled a month in advance.

I have been using Simply Collect since 2019

I have been using Simply Collect since 2019 and they have helped me out with everything you can think of when it comes to the operational side of taking membership payments and dealing with enquiries around setting up new members and cancelling those who wish to leave.

Professional, polite and efficient. would highly recommend.

Quick Resolution

I requested a date change for my monthly payment that was coming out in a week's time. The Simply Collect representative listened carefully and stated they would have to consult their beneficiary/client by phone in order to do so & would email me immediately thereafter. This, they in fact did in a matter of a few minutes much to my satisfaction and relief.

Terrible company. Employ them and lose business.

Terrible from a consumer perspective. They hide behind technicalities and obfuscate any reasonable discourse with jargon and excuses.

Simply Collect carry a worsening reputation. Any future client of theirs from a business perspective should reconsider doing business with them. Your clients will find out who they are and will question your relationship, harming your business. AVOID

Great customer service!

Needed help with changing my membership with the gym I was with, rang up and it was sorted within a day! Amazing customer service from Tamzin who talked me through everything and even answered my questions I had about my contract.

Awful company

Awful company, stay well clear!!
My bank reversed my DD I rang the next morning to pay this and they had added a £20 late fee, was fuming. When asked to speak to a manager I got fobbed of with some silly reason why I couldn't and was told to email them. Email sent soon as I got off the phone and I'm still waiting for a response. I will never use this company ever again, they are as dodgy as hell.

Bad experience to deal with customer service

Just read the review, looks like many customers had the same experience. Missed a DD payment on first day and even though I’ve taken the immediate action to contact them, they still charge me £15 late fee. No matter I’ve email or called them to discuss, they just repeated the same and didn’t help. Just avoid this ridiculous company!!!

Soulless company

Soulless company, as other reviews suggest. Missed a direct debit by a couple of weeks for my gym, was hit with an admin fee of £10 when ringing up to pay the missed payment and reinstate my DD. Not a huge amount but ridiculous when the only ‘admin’ actions taken were an automated email and text message. Tried to explain my concerns to Tamzin who was completely uninterested, and instead went on to tell me how they should have charged me for this and she’s actually doing me a favour. If you’re a small business looking to use these guys for collections, I would reconsider. They are not a good representative for any business that truly cares about the image of their business.

Edit: they tried to ask for more info to verify who I was, in hopes that trustpilot would remove my review. I left the review within an hour of my experience, named the staff member I dealt with and my trustpilot name is the same as the name they have for me. Tells you all you need to know about this outfit. No contact from simply collect directly though regarding my experience.

Missed a DD payment and they want £15…

Missed a DD payment and they want £15 for late payment fee. A decent company would waive this but the cold natured customer service rep wouldn't help at all.
If your a company wanting to use them, Id avoid as you'll have your own customers very annoyed.

Be wary of this company

Having previously cancelled the service I was receiving from another company, directly with them, I went on to incur fees and charges from this company.
Be wary when signing up to use this company to pay for DD. A minimum of 1 month's notice is required, so you are paying for a service you aren't receiving and if you don't pay it, they will charge you.
