SIMPLER Hair Color Reviews 

I was using another product where you had to take two different packets put on gloves put one in your hair and then put the other. I was happy with the results, but it was often inconsistent. When I was forced to deal with an $18 price discrepancy after six years of loyal service, I decided to try a different product. This product is amazingly easy to use, doesn’t require the prep work that my old product required, plus it doesn’t drip on anything. I have stains all over from when my old product would fly off the gloves as rubbing it into my hair. I’ve done high-end, low-end store-bought, subscription shampoos etc… this by far is the one that I will be sticking with.

Paid over CAD 100 for a partial coverage bottle. Afrer first use, there is only white cream in the bottle and does not color may beard. I contacted the manufacturere a few times but no response. I am totally dissatified with thiis product and it is TOTAL FRAUD. I would never recommend this product to anyone,

Five minutes. Literally, 5 minutes from start (mixing and adding the color to my hair) to finish (rinsing it out) is how long it takes me to add some color to my (normally stark white) hair. No messing gooey solutions, just put on the gloves, put some product in the palm of my hand, mix it together (hit my timer) and spread it through my hair. Wait 4 minutes…hop in the shower and rinse it out. Done! Couldn’t be simpler!!

The product is really inconsistent, and doesn’t last long. It seems like it doesn’t blend correctly, even though I follow the directions. I’ve used it for a long time, but not really happy with it. I wanted something without the harsh chemicals, but if it doesn’t work good, then I guess that defeats the purpose.

I really like this product. It was so easy to use. I wasn’t sure how much to use on my first try but it was good. My best friend (who never comments on my color) declared that she loved this color on me! Definitely watch the video about pressing the can to dispense the color and accelerant evenly. The second time I used this, I didn’t use enough or maybe didn’t comb it deep enough, but it is so easy to use I didn’t mind redoing what I missed. I also missed a spot by my temple and fixed that, too (you’d never be able to do that with a box product).

Best product I ever bought
The partial coverage is the best. I love my grays and this one gives you the natural look without looking like you dye your beard. I recommend this product over all the others out there.

Very easy to apply and works fantastic. Not messy and does not have any horrible odors. The Applicator tool is great and easy to clean. I will keep using.

I decided to try this as my husband has been using this and suggested I give it a try.

The first time I used it I wasn't so sure that this was any good as the white plastic brush that comes with dye is not practical for a womans head.

I decided to try it again, using the brush that that I saved from Clairol Root touch=up. MUCH better.

Simpler needs to realize that most men have short hair and womens' hair/heads are different and needs to change the plastic brush that comes with this.

SOLUTION- change the applicator brush for women.

I just received my package and was excited to use it. I was very unhappy when the product would not come out of the bottle. Don't you test these to make sure they work? Your Dispensing bottles are crap. I want my money back now !

Before purchasing I wasn't sure but was assured this was 100% money back guarantee if I wasn't happy. Anyway, got my pack, applied to my beard had an itchy reaction send day and the grey hairs are noticeable 48 hours later. Not worked for me as this would cost me a fortune colouring my beard every third day. Emailed CS, they haven't got back to me. Not very happy.

So my thoughts on this hair dye
I used to use just for men but had a bad reaction to it so after a long time looking I found this product and was hesitant to buy it due to the cost but thought it sounded good so I’d give it a go then with the shipping cost it ended up being over £60 which is very expensive not only that considering they say it’s got no harmful chemicals this product burnt me really bad
After an hour of putting this on my face and neck was going red and swelling really bad I even dropped a bit on my stomach which I wiped off straight away and that left me with a burn mark as well
The burn and swelling was that bad that the following day I couldn’t even eat due to how much my face had swollen up
I would never buy this again or recommend it

Bought this a few months back. Didn’t work. Dug it out of the medicine cabinet today to give it one more try. Did not cover beard grey or hairline grey at all. Threw it out. Would not buy.

Fantastic product, natural cover with the partial coverage dye, so my beard doesn’t look dyed.

I am from UK, for years I was using Bigen for Men I bought one all in one spent fortune shipping and tax and the cost just under £60 so I was expecting this colour product from Simpler to be on top of market I am absolutely shock to experience how bad this product is, I don’t mind the price as long as the quality and colours are good and it long last than Bigen, this what has happened I applied last Friday the result is shocking and not looking great so I have tried to repeat after four days I noticed the colour of the cream has changed to brown the first time used the colour was black this means the product is gone off. Simpler never mentioned the whole bottle is one time use once opened. Now I need to go back Bigen and never ever spend one pence for this product

I've been a subscriber to Simpler Hair Color for over a year. Recently, tariffs have been added to the cost of each purchase for Canadian customers. It equates to an additional $20+ on my recent order (#1015061). Simpler Hair Color did not inform its customers of this increase and charged without notifying me. I did reach out to their customer service and they absolutely did not care - it was a very generic response and when I said I would cancel my subscription as a result, they immediately canceled it for me and that was it - no further communication.

I would highly suggest looking for an alternative - there are others that offer the same product with the same ingredients, in subscription, for a lower price like ColorSmithCo. It's unfortunate I'm no longer buying from them but it's also clear they dgaf anyway. 😂

**Update 5/20/2025 - Simpler responded below saying their happiness team reached out to me. This is not true, they sent me an email before I rated them on Trust Pilot telling me why they charged me more, but that was it.

Never again, bunch of liers got an email from Jessica Pacheco and Dennis Reilly offering me a discount after placing an order, someone called Bryan Dizon emailed be later staying offer not available I told him to check emails and notes on the system from his other work colleagues. Since then I’ve been ignored, I’ve sent reminder emails and they still not getting back, please do not order customer service is very poor and I believe the product may also be based on false marketing. Stay away

I bought this product and finally used it recently. It’s fantastic!

Firstly,I initially was drawn to the “simplicity”marketing..but after using it(twice)not sure if it’s a design flaw in the product dispenser or what,but it doesn’t seem to dispense evenly as it’s supposed(no matter how hard I press.This very”displeasing result is that it turned a good bit of my black(and gray)hair BROWN!!! No,before u insult my intelligence and suggest I may have selected the wrong color,I didn’t,and remember,I tried it “twice”.I don’t mind having to spend more for your product,”if”I get the desired results!!!

Was hoping for a low key brown and ended up ginger. I'd avoid this at all costs.

Terrible Product
Terrible Product – Faulty Nozzle and Total Waste of Money

I had a horrible experience with Simpler Hair Color. The two-nozzle system is supposed to dispense and mix the color and developer evenly, but in my case, only one nozzle worked. No matter how hard I pressed, the second one just wouldn't dispense anything.

Because of that, the product didn’t mix properly, making it completely unusable. I ended up wasting my money and time for absolutely nothing. For a product that claims to simplify the hair coloring process, this was an absolute nightmare.

Do not fall for the marketing – the packaging design is flawed, and there's no value here. Easily the worst hair color product I’ve ever tried. I’ll never purchase this again.
