Two really disappointing experiences with Silver Acre comics
Before I have had good experience with Silver Acre comics. But now I have had two times a terrible experience with them.
In both cases I have ordered some comics from their website, and I have paid the price that they gave on the website.
In both cases I did not hear anything for a few days, and then suddenly the money was returned, without explanation.
In both cases I have contacted them, and I got incomplete answers.
The first time they said that most comics had run out. They did not tell me which ones. Which is weird, because they were on their website. Then later on I saw again one of these comics on their website ... but now with a price that is three times higher! I felt had.
The second time I ordered some comics. Nothing really special, only one first appearance, and that one was of a C-list character at best, Prodigy of the X-men. All were listed on their website, with the price.
I again heard nothing for a few days, and then again my money was returned, without explanation.
I contacted them again, and they said that I was probably ordering because of top ten lists from America or such. Which first of all was nonsense, because I do not check such lists. Second of all, none of these were particularly hot. Third, even if I did that, what does it matter? Silver Acre maintains their website with what they sell, not me, I just order from it!
All in all, two terrible experiences that cost me a lot of time and frustration, and I will not use them again. I will also warn anyone against trusting their website.
And I call upon Silver Acre to get their act in order. We customers deserve that.
