A great compass
A great compass, except that installing it in the boat was a bit annoying due to loose parts that kept falling off.

Silva thumb compass
I bought a Silva thumb compass 2020. An air bubble developed after a couple of months. I got a new one for warranty 05/2021. After a couple of months a new air bubble developed, again! This time it was a much bigger bubble. I paid almost 100 euros for that madeinchina-compass.

Great headlamp and customer service
Really satisfied with the Scout headlamp and also with customer service when I broke the battery cover on the lamp and needed a new one. Also the design of the cover has changed so its going to be harder to break this one. :)

Comments about information on webpage
You need to have information about the dimensions of the compasses on the first page. I ordered the wrong size because I couldn't find that info. It is only available in the pdf with mounting instructions. Also the descriptions doesn't match. It said that the compass was for motor boats on the overview page but when I clicked to read more it said that it was for sailing boats. You better proof read the web page and test the links. Yours

Very disappointing quality in the new Silva Arc thumb compass. Bought my compass in summer 2021. An air bubble developed after a couple of months. Also, the compass needle got stuck from time to time during a run. I had the compass replaced under warranty. Received my new compass in November 2021 but also that compass developed exactly the same problem with air bubble and needle getting stuck.
I am mostly disappointed that I was sent a replacement compass after Silva had already discovered the design/manufacturing quality issues that the compass model had.

In the spring of 2021, Silva launched two new orienteering compass series - ARC and SPIKE. The compasses were re-designed with new construction, new visuals, and with new features. During the summer, problems with air bubbles appeared in the compasses and all sales were stopped. During the autumn and winter, intensive work has been carried out with hundreds of tests and analyzes, in collaboration with Scandinavian Orienteering Federations and elite orienteers. New compasses are now being produced at new suppliers with new design to prevent air bubbles, and with an updated, more stable compass needle. The new compasses will be available from mid-May
Quality fallen off a cliff
Three compasses bought, and all three developed bubbles in less than 2 months. I have to admit I was warned about the plummeting quality standards since Silva shut down the Swedish factory and transferred to China - but I didn't think it would be as bad as this. Needless to say, I won't be buying Silva again as things stand (and that's after using their equipment for almost 50 years as a competitive orienteer).

Got my battery very fast but….!
Got my battery very fast but….!
I bought this battery because of the battery in the lamp I got as a Christmas gift from my friend didn’t work!!! And this new battery I bought didn’t fit to my adapter to charge it… I’m not happy with that.
The stars is for the fast service to send me the new battery I needed. But I can’t charge it 😞
