I placed an order on June 26th with a 31-day lead time. It's now August 5th, and I still haven't received my order. This is unacceptable service.
Absolutely abysmal communication
Absolutely abysmal communication. I placed an order last year and it was a nightmare, then I tried to give them another chance when I needed the product again this year. Surprised to find they've gotten worse, not better. They promised stock, and I paid, then they admitted they don't have stock. Now the stock's finally ready for drop shipment but they continue to ignore my multiple requests to provide the shipment weight and dims, and the manufacturer's certs and trace showing batch #, lot dates, etc. (required per my PO as these are goods for use on civil aircraft and are strictly regulated). I can't figure out how they could possibly be so obtuse - it's as if they either don't actually ready my emails, or they don't understand English. I've begged for a manager to step in but received zero response. The irony is that someone reached out to me today, in response to my umpteenth email asking for the certs and the weight and dims, to ask me what's holding the order up and to warn me they would soon be closing for the holidays. It honestly feels like I'm on one of those TV shows where they punk you and then they record your reaction. It would almost be funny at this point, if it weren't such a colossal waste of my time during an extremely busy time of year and with my customer growing increasingly impatient. This is one of the top ten worst customer service experiences I've received in my 18+ years of business.
Terrible Service and Support
Ordered EC-3524 based on a 30 day leadtime quoted. nearly 1 year from ordering and payment still haven't received the item and next to no commination or customer service from Silmid. I would avoid ordering anything on a leadtime and stick to stock items only. Very poor service and bad experience.
VERY BAD Customer Service and Long Packing and delivery Time
Place an order for an item with lead time of 10 days. The goods is ready 1 month/30days later. When follow up and asking for the delivery and packing, no one is able to help - my account manager with a rude tone asked me not to call everyday saying “we are doing our best and it is not our fault the goods is only ready now, you calling us everyday is not going to make the goods faster.” I think this is a very ignorant and rude response. The very least you can say is apologize for the delay and explain how you can confirm the goods readiness.
Dont expect items in stock are able to ship out within 1-2 days. They say it will take 3 days but no it is around 5-7 working days. For indent items you have to prepare 3x the time stated for peace of mind and dont expect them to advice you what js going on with the goods.
Silmid now is very bad with customer service, no one is willing to help, no one is willing to check on the progress, their email is short and dont answer your question and when you have the initiative to call, they asked you not to call - very very rude!
silmid in 2016 was still very good, i dont know what makes them change. At the very least somebody will be able to confirm when you asked something for your order
not all workers are bad i suppose, there are a couple workers liek Ms maria z, Ms abigayle from shipping that is willing to go for the miles. SILMID needs to retrain a lot of their workers especially in product knowledge and responses to customer.

living in northern ireland , receiving anything by post is a worry ,, opening a jiffy bag full of grease just would not be nice ,,, or useful .
the package i received was expertly packed , and needless to say the container was intact , very fast delivery , i will be dealing with sil mid from here on in
Generally pretty good
They have a lot of stock and their timing is good as well, certs are correct for the most part.
Paid by Credit Card but didn't receive a receipt
I received the items but I'm still waiting for a copy of the receipt

Carriage charges
Service is generally good but the standard carriage charge of £18.00 for delivery in 72 hours is high.

Good Company but the delivery dates can be a bit vague,they can vary from 1 week to 4 weeks.
