Bought a couple of dresses on silkfred but when they arrived although they were the right size fit wise they were far too long.
So I did a return on them which they confirmed they received on 31st July, and I was told I would be refunded within 14 days
It's now 22nd Aug and I've not heard anything else from them and I'm still chasing to find out when I will get my money back.
Not impressed, this is the first time I've used them, and won't be buying from them again.

I saw an advert for Silkfred (SF) on 09/07/25, it looked ok, so I placed an order which came to £79.15. On 10/07/25 £87.50 was charged to my credit card. I was disappointed with the poor quality of the items, they were cheap. To return them via Evri was a problem. Evri said they have a returns collection at the range in Penge, they don’t. Their customer service is rubbish. Eventually I returned the parcel via Royal Mail.
On 11/08/25 I messaged saying ‘I returned your parcel on 25/07/25. When can I expect my refund’? SF responded saying £75.15 would be credited to me. There was a lot of going back and forth from 11th - 13th regarding the refund. I said 'If the order came to £79.15, why was ££87.50 charged to my credit card? If £4 delivery charge was applied as you say and I wasn’t charged the return postage fee of £1.99 my refund would be £83.50.
Do you have an accounts department? If so please forward my emails to them. I don't want this unpleasantness to drag on'. SF said ‘Do you have a screenshot from your bank showing the charge as I can only see we charged you £79.15?’ I sent the screen shot.
I was ashamed about my experience and wasn’t going to write a review, but that doesn’t help others. My advice to shoppers: do a quick check if you’re not familiar with a brand and always pay with a credit card. On a scale of 1 – 10, they get 0.

I loved my purchases but unfortunately what I did choose didn't suit ,and also waiting on an order,had to query it and (oversite on my part )my question was dealt with promptly and efficiently,which was to me fantastic customer service..I have used this silk Fred many a time and had some lovely items .many thanks

Received a dress which was faulty got in touch with customer services who have arranged a replacement to be sent to me. Received communication daily updating me on what was happening. Shout out to to Tamsin and Helen thank you for sorting.

Have used SilkFred many times and never had an issue - although I’ve never had to return items before! I returned my goods on the 25th of July - 2 x packages. One package has been confirmed as received on the 30th July and still no refund. The other package seems to be lost with Royal Mail. I sent it via the 48 hour tracking, however can no longer view the tracking and Silk Fred still showing as waiting for return. Have gone on to the website - the bot can’t help and it said it would put me in touch with someone but no agents are online! This really is putting me off ordering again.

Whilst your delivery was quick I have an issue with refunding items which was sent back and acknowledged on 25th July. It is now 16th August and I’ve yet to receive notification of when the refunds will be processed to my account .

Absolute rip off. £8 for original delivery, £2.99 per item to return substandard goods so nearly £14. Had to chase return and didn’t receive funds back (less the £14!) for nearly two months.

I ordered two dresses and kept one which I am happy with. Unfortunatley the refund service is not good. I received an email on 11th July stating my return had been received and would be processed and to allow up to 14 days for it to be completed. I have had no updates since and am still waiting for my refund. I will be contacting my credit card company.

Recently purchased 2 dresses from SilkFred, as a new customer I was dubious, however SilkFred did not disappoint. Ordering was easy, updates were useful and delivery times were accurate.
Both items are gorgeous and look amazing on.
Dresses are true to size, are good quality and are very flattering. Highly recommended.

Very slow return system. Happy to take money prior to sending order but takes up to 3 weeks to refund money after receiving returns. I find this an inefficient service and won’t be shopping with Silk Fred again.

Excellent customer service from Helen (don’t have a last name for her). A few items from my order hadn’t arrived despite tracking saying ‘delivered’. I wasn’t able to select refund for two other items. Helen looked into the matter, helped with the refund and located the missing items. She kept me informed at all times.
SilkFred has an excellent selection of clothing from numerous outlets so it’s very convenient to use. Have used them once before and happy with the goods.

Ordered dress want to return every time I go into my account to do return the label won't come up. There's only a robot chat can't get onto customer service I'm a week trying and very disappointing. Nice website but this would put me off ordering again.
The robot only asks specific questions and won't let you ask questions.

Slow on refunds , waiting weeks having to chase not good enough almost 3 weeks to process a refund ! Most refund on receipt of items 3-5 days . Really puts me off ordering in the future
