Bummed, after trying to get the info to purchase a system for weeks
After numerous emails trying to get the salesperson to send me all the info so I could purchase it, I quit. I have emailed and emailed this guy, trying to get very short basic answers in order to know what I will still need to do after the purchase. I received the invoice and the pricing seemed fair, but none of the products came with the compliance numbers that the city requires. When I asked him about it he suggested that I pay $750 to have a company they work with help with drawings and other things the city wanted. I said, great get me the info and invoice and I'll pay. Once again, nothing was sent. If this is the way the purchase goes, I can't imagine if there's an issue. Or maybe that's the problem; they have issues/fires they are dealing with?
Ricky at Signature Solar was great
Ricky and the guys at Signature Solar were great. I enjoyed having the English-speaking support. He was readily available to talk and text message throughout the deal. As a bonus, the system arrived super quick and ahead of schedule.

Personalized Service
When I contacted Signature Solar to order solar equipment for my cabin, they provided personalized service. The quality of the equipment they recommended is exceptional. Since then, whenever I've needed additional accessories or equipment, I've contacted Celeste Stewart, who has always been diligent and willing to help me with my needs.

Sales cycle was a little difficult
Sales cycle was a little difficult. Had a very short quote good for days (like 2) for the pricing to remain in effect. I guess the prices are changing and rising a lot. Even talked to a sales manager but did not do much good. There was a free shipping promo that I should have gotten but I had to pay to shipping anyway. Sales person was a little brief and hard to extract technical data out of. I've heard good things about the support process for this company and am just hoping that the support is better than the sales process. Given the difficult quote process, I think the company might be better off just to offer online sales and not a salesperson/quote process.

Like a Colonoscopy...
Like a Colonoscopy.... The wait times are huge and you will get passed around from person to person without any solutions to the problem. I have been waiting months for a replacement part. Told several times they can't do anything without EG4 approval. The unit is for my tenant space and now the tenant is suing me over the issue.

9 out of 12 USELESS…
9 out of 12 batteries turned out to be ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!
Yes they are willing to do something which requires a lot of work, finding new acceptable boxes and a pallet to put them on, then get credit for new batteries. 9 out of 12 batteries DO NOT WORK AND NEVER WORKED!!! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ANYONE OFF GRID.
MY ADVICE FIND A REPUTABLE COMPANY!
NO OTHER COMPANY HAS THIS BAD A BATTERY RATE.
ONLY Placations in response to complaint. THESE WERE BAD WHEN SOLD.THEY ARE STILL BAD AND ITS ALL NOW ON ME!
I STAND BY MY REVIEW THAT THESE ARE CRAP CHINESE BATTERIES SOLD AT A PROFIT LNOWING THEY WERE BAD!!!
Amanda has reached out to make this right. These batteries are no longer being sold. They are crediting me for them and applying that to these 24 volt rack batteries. I have 2 of these already, work amazingly well and I have had them now 4 or 5 years. After having had great service from them. That is why I was so disappointed with these 12 batteries, only 3 working.
Signature Solar has great reviews for its staff, tech and support and that is true in this case.

Competitive pricing and great tech support. Very satisfied customer
I just finished installing 2 more batteries and a Eg4 off grid XP12000. Due to my inexperience, I was on the phone with Signature Solar tech support several times. They answered all my questions and reviewed my configuration, correcting errors that they found. I want to mention Rodolfo, Kevin & Kally as very helpful. My set up is working great and I am now off grid :)

Another mixed review
We ordered a 24K Hybrid mini split from Signature Solar, EG4. It leaked the Freon out of a bad Chinese braze at a fitting. We paid an HVAC company to come out to assess. The charged U.S. trip charge & $85 for a nitrogen leak tests. They confirmed it was a manufacturing defect. Kierstyn asked me to send a picture, which I did. I was given 2 options, send it back (after a 5 hour install) and pay for shipping or get the fitting replaced locally and submit the receipt. I have a copy of the call. It turned out to be an easy crimp fitting and then a refill. I did have a 2nd trip charge & 2 nitrogen leak tests done. I didn’t submit a receipt as a positive gesture. I submit the receipt for just the crimp & Freon fill, as requested and the denied the claim. Kierstyn listened to the call and agreed that she could see my side and would call me back. 2 weeks pass and nothing. I called back to get LaTonya. I offered to take the repayment for the work as a store credit as that is a show of good faith of ordering more on my part. She was helpful and took ownership. She said the most they would do is $280 of the over $1,000 (not 50% as they state) & that it would be a store credit, so not real money, more of a coupon. To me, as a business owner, this is the worst resolution. Hopefully Jim Schowalter, the owner reads this. His team gave something up only to keep the customer unhappy. I did order more equipment. When I did, I was overbilled by $85. I called back and the team lead said he would fix it. He didn't know how it happened. Thankfully I had recorded that conversation as well. In summary, a lot of the stuff is made in China, so definitely open everything no matter how long it takes upon delivery. Record your conversations and get as much as you can in writing. We still have a lot of equipment to buy and may shop it around based on our experiences with Signature Solar. I have actually lowered my rating of them based on their response below.
UPDATE: I ordered another 24K BTU Hybrid EG4 mini split and had a better experience. The fitting on the unit did not leak. I did hold the driver and did not sign the paperwork until I inspected the unit. It installed in 6 hours, most of which was related to woodwork on the cabin. I've raised my review from 1 star to 3. I have more EG4 projects and will keep everyone updated.

**updated to 5 star. finally got a tech who could make quick call on replacing it and he did. he also helped me with some future projects where i will be deploying the flexboss and gridboss.
This is a mixed review. It could be 1 star or it could be 5 star. I have 2 of their chargeverters. One old, one new. The new style has worked perfectly. The old style, still well within warranty, is de-rating from the target charge of 70 amps to 40 amps.
So, the 5 star is the new style unit. Flawless.
The one star is the old style unit, but really the tech support. While everyone is friendly, I've had 3 calls, 10+ emails and now I'm being routed to "service" with no anticipate target solution or solution date.
I was getting ready to buy the flexboss and gridboss after watching their CEO on YouTube go over it...but...now...wow...if this is what happens when the product is faulty...no thanks.

I ordered the Hyperion 400W Bifacial…
I ordered the Hyperion 400W Bifacial 3'x6' panels as advertised. The large box on a pallet arrived with a packing order slip in Cubic Feet. I thought nothing of it and left all in the garage because they were safe and well packed.
I spent a month working upon my home moving some electrical lines, built in second breaker box, placed inverter and batteries (all ordered from Signature Solar); built two of the EG4 BrightMount Ground Rack systems. It should be stated I am a contractor and work on the road and am home 2 weekends out of every month. It should further be stated I am a field engineer and actually oversee construction of transmission power lines. I pay attention to specs and certainly dimensions.
Back to my story> Christmas Holiday and I have help (I am a female in her mid 60's and needed help to place panels). Everything is set we are ready all we need to do is place panels.
THE PANELS WERE 45" IN WIDTH. Only 3 fit to a frame with 43" remaining on each frame.
I call Signature Solar (after the holiday), their response was "well we have extensions".
Yea, I shouldn't have needed extensions. I asked them to make it right and send me another frame as I had cannibalized the other frame and added an additional 7.5' and made the array with 5 panels. Keep in mind the conduit for the solar wire was placed along with the wire. Now we dig that up and hand dig and place another railroad tie (27 degrees while snowing, I live in SD). Okay so at least I was able to get the one array up. They determined that I had not actually had my conversation with their technician regarding the 3x6 panels (who knew that I should have kept the specs when ordering).
I will never order another product from them.

Shout out to Alex for helping me resolve some firmware update issues in the middle of an install and following up afterwards via email to make sure everything had gone smoothly. I've tried multiple places to buy Solar equipment from and I will definitely be sticking with Signature Solar moving forward.
