Nothing but great things to say about my experience with Shopicar. I am a 64 year retired woman who has traded in, purchased and sold a few cars in my lifetime, but never have I had a smooth and stellar experience as I did with Shopicar. If ever there was someone who was suspicious of an online transaction such as this, it would be me. It felt like it was too good to be true, so I was extremely distrustful. Not only did they better the price that I was quoted with other agencies like AutoTrader, they told me that they would take the car “as is”. I had booked appointments to have my car professionally cleaned, oil changed and a new battery installed, but the associate Bilel assured me that they would do all the work and that I wouldn’t need to do a thing to prepare my car. The other agencies did not offer me this and their price was lower, so I went with Shopicar. Everything was arranged and taken care of within 36 hours, including pickup of my car from home and immediate transfer of funds to my account. My experience with Nicolas and his helpful assistant, who picked up my car was smooth, easy and well organized ahead of time. I simply had to hand over the keys after a quick inspection of my car and then wait for the direct transfer to my bank account. Nicolas and his assistant waited with me to ensure I was paid, easing any concerns I had. Throughout the entire experience, all agency staff were kind, patient and extremely helpful, especially Bilel who spoke perfect English with me as my command of the French language was not great for a transaction like this. Bilel was kind, patient and very reassuring. Stephanie, Younes, Nicolas and his assistant all made this the most fluid and exemplary experience selling a car than I could ever dream of. I highly recommend Shopicar to anyone looking to sell their car without the usual hassle one typically gets with car dealerships, and trust me, I’ve had many shady experiences in my day. A big and sincere thank you to everyone at Shopicar.

Don't be fooled by the slick marketing, these guys are just as shady as any other car dealer. In the process of selling them a used car via accommodation sale (exchange between 2 dealers), I encountered illegal business practices, breach of contract, and extreme unreliability. Their actions at the last minute (after exchanging paperwork with the other dealer) torpedoed the purchase of my new car and severely inconvenienced all 3 parties involved in the deal (myself, my broker and the other dealer). Stay away!

Edit: My turn to clarify after Shopicar responded. The 4 cosmetic issues with the car (3 minor, one more serious) were fully disclosed and accurately described. The individuals I spoke, texted and emailed did not indicate any quality issues with my photos - in fact Shopicar has never seen the car, their updated repair assessment is based on those very same photos - they just failed to do that estimate before agreeing on a price. At no time did anyone I spoke with indicate there would be any further adjustment or review process before the transaction itself. They had already asked to be placed in contact with the other dealer to begin coordinating and finalizing the transaction. This is a case of them making a mistake and screwing over the seller.

What is marketed on Shopicar's website is a service that uses AI models to estimate car values. I referenced a quote I had received from another dealer, and selling my car privately would result in an even higher price. Shopicar's role is to make an offer based on their valuation of the car and the seller decides to sell at that price or not. I did consult a lawyer and in Quebec verbal agreements are binding - if their AI models did not properly factor in repair costs (for fully disclosed issues!), the time to bring that up is BEFORE initiating the transaction. To do otherwise is dishonest, unfair, and no more consumer friendly than any other shady car dealer out there.

Easy and efficient process from the start to the end! I was a bit scared and skeptical to sell my car on line to Shopicar. Quick replies and answers to my questions from Félix, he even picked up the car at home! I recommend to give them a try if you want to sell and/or buy a car!

Dealing with Shopicar was a extremely good experience. It was very easy to deal with. They took care of all the paperwork with the Porsche Dealership. Beside this, they were offering more than the dealership and all other car brookers, for my car.

Honestly, I'll do it again and use Shopicar next time.

Sold my Tesla to Shopicar. Great service from Phil and Felix. They had best offer out of several dealers I contacted. They were very quick to respond to my questions. There was an issue with my bank and they went out of their way to resolve and complete the transaction payment. I didnt even have to go out of my way, they came to me to inspect car and sign all papers. If only all car sales were so easy.
