SCAM @ shopatmars.com (SAM)

SCAM @ shopatmars.com (SAM) w/ customer service phone #888-570-2972 - Start: I received notice of a charge on my bank account (which I now get for any and all transactions on my phone) which did not make sense. Called my bank. Turns out that there is/was some connection between this SAM "platform" and some other platform that I have done legit business with. I had no emails on either of my email addresses (including junk) re: this "transaction" from either company. I called the # listed above and cancelled the order that I never placed. How oin the hell did they get my billing info? Either SAM has hacked the "legit company, or... the legit company provided SAM with my "info" for "marketing" for $

What a scam

I placed an order on October 14, 2025. Over 30 days later of being told that it was coming heres 20% off and be patient. Today I got charged for the full price. Wrote them another email asking status and where was my 20% off. I got an email saying I would be credited my 20% then 20 minutes later an email saying that the order was canceled and my money will be refunded. Haven't seen the money yet but it better be on the way...

You WILL get charged a membership fee

Came across website….saw something I wanted pretty cheap. Decided to check out the reviews because I was sorta skeptical, reviews warned me about the members fee that you would be charged but silly me didnt believe it…..UNTIL I was actually charged $49 for this membership I didn’t even sign up for. So it’s true you guys, they will charge you a week after you purchase your item….and I still yet to receive tracking information for my purchase. I emailed them and told them I want a refund for this fee I did not consent too….they emailed me back right away and claim I’ll be getting a refund in 3-7 days. I will be checking !!!!!! DONT BUY FROM THEM!

Scam “free” membership at $49 a month

As with others on here, the purchase of an item in Jan 2024 came with “free” Red Planet membership, which was not clear on checkout and mentioned clearly as “free” on the order confirmation. They then take $49 each month with no further contact, not even marketing of products. If your credit card is not a US one the amount differs each month due to the exchange rate so it’s harder to spot that it’s a subscription. My credit card firm flagged it in June after 17 months of charges. Do NOT buy from these people, especially via Facebook where you don’t see their terms and conditions.

Do not do business with this company

Do not do business with this company. I ordered an item in January and they double-charged me for it. When I reported the double charge, they refunded the second charge, but then never shipped the item. I have been trying now for months to get the original charge refunded, but no luck. Fraud? Or incompetence?

Just like all the other people here I was scammed. I received a small amount back from the Bank but they still owe around $600 they charged my card each month for a subscription which is totally hidden and misleading
This company is total FRAUD and don't support them with anything DO NOT BUY FROM THEM EVER they will take your money each month for a fruad subscription instead of a small shipping cost

Scammers that will get their karma hopefully

Do not purchase from this company they automatically sign you up for becoming a shopping member. My credit card was charged US$49 I believe that worked out over $70 in Canadian funds monthly and I didn't catch it for nearly a year. They would do nothing about it. I ordered a sponge for the shower and a dog brush from this company and they charged me this monthly shopping Club fee for over a year. Stay away from this company they won't refund you a dime and keep charging your credit card.

Caution Buyer be WARE!

My wife bought a nail clipper 1/9/25 for $9.99. A week later we received a charge on our credit card for $49. We contested that with our Citi bank card. The bank said they would look into it. February there was another charge of $49 and the same in March. We cancelled the card so Shop at Mars could not bill any more. My wife received a letter from Mars shortly thereafter saying they cancelled her membership in the Red Planet Club. She never signed up for any membership. When she tried to call the company it went to voice mail and couldn’t leave a message because their mailbox was full. Buyer beware of this company. Still trying to resolve this matter with Citi bank.

Bought a product June of 2024. Buried in tiny type was a membership to Red Planet Club. Three day trial. After that $49 a month for nothing. Finally caught it after 10 months. $490. Scam at its finest.

I made a one time purchase back in…

I made a one time purchase back in march and since then they have tried several times to take more money from my account, luckily the bank spotted it and refused payment, but I still had to go through the rigamarole of explaining each time they tried to take a payment, just a rip off, don't buy from them

Why are they getting away with this!

My story and case is the same as the many others presented here.

This in itself is alarming.
D
The story for the membership about donations to The Mars Project or something about robots and humans living on Mars (the planet).

How they email in response and seem to be legally protected to rip us off???

That is alarming.

We seem to require a class action?

We would need representation if any one reading has that capacity.

Again, why are these shonks still operating when these reviews are dated for so many months?

Thieves - Fraudulent - Scammers

Made a purchase valued $40, arrived ok, they then proceeded to bill me $80 monthly for some membership buried deep in T & C's
My bank has recovered 1 x payment and chasing another, still $400 can't recover. Emails promise refund but deliver nothing.

I purchased some beauty products but failed to see there was a charge of$49 plus the items I was buying, until after I hit complete. So within 2 minutes I was canceling the order and asking for a refund on the "membership fee". The said no problem and would send me a refund.that was Jan 17, 2025,,,still nothing. Now the phone number has a voice mail picking up instead of a person and it's full. So I am turning it over to the bank!!
