Tracking would be good

Tracking would be good

There is no way to track the status of the order aside from waiting for a call from the delivery team.

Chair is comfortable and assembled…

Chair is comfortable and assembled correctly.

Improvements:
- Should be delivered in c. 1-3 days, not two weeks
- Delivery box included all cardboard and plastic that I assume is what the unassembled chair arrives with

Terrible service

Chair faulty on day 1 so I returned it. Steelcase’s delivery team contacted me and organised a date for the second delivery. They were not bothered to notify me on the delivery day that they don't yet have the chair and will not able to deliver the chair that day. Had to call them myself. Strange for a company that charges so much for chairs has a messy delivery service.

📢 Public Review: My Steelcase Delivery Nightmare

If you’re considering buying directly from Steelcase Australia, save yourself the frustration.

Despite ordering a premium chair over a month ago, I’ve received everything except the chair—and now I’ve been strung along by a revolving door of customer support agents blaming a third-party delivery company for the delay.

Let me be clear: I did not pay a premium price to deal with your logistics failures or to wait weeks with no resolution. Every message I send is met with another noncommittal “we’re waiting for updates,” or an empty apology.

Steelcase claims the chair was sent, but when it never arrived, their solution was more waiting. Now they offer another 7–10 business day delivery window—with no accountability and no clear resolution. In the real world, if your supplier fails, you’re still responsible to your customer.

I’ve made my position clear: If this isn’t resolved within the timeframe promised, I will share my experience across every review platform I have access to—because people deserve to know how poor this has been.

This isn’t about a delay. It’s about how you handled it—or rather, how you didn’t.

Hi Cameron,

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry this experience hasn’t met your expectations.

Your order was placed on 10 June and delivered on 23 June, within our advertised 7–10 business day timeframe. You first notified us of a missing item on 2 July, at which point our team began investigating immediately — despite our delivery records confirming all items had been received.

We take full ownership of your experience and worked closely with our third-party delivery partner to locate the item. Unfortunately, despite our team's repeated follow-ups, we did not receive timely updates from the provider, and the matter remained out of our direct control.

Recognising this delay, and in the interest of resolving things promptly, we offered you either a full refund or a brand-new replacement chair at no cost. You selected the replacement, which was dispatched from our warehouse yesterday.

Our team has acted professionally and in good faith throughout the process, and we remain committed to ensuring your replacement arrives safely.

Terrible terrible service for resolution of what should have been an unfortunate mistake and a simple solution

My chair was delivered missing one castor and I’m strung along with an Email saying it’s ’under Review’. - what’s to review????
A simple apology and a new caster by courier would have been an appropriate response instead I’m told 4-6 weeks to get new castor???

Rubbish service - really unimpressed and feel like returning the chair. Disgraceful.

Fast delivery and super comfortable

It was delivered one week before the date. It came in two pieces, which was a relief as I had expected to assemble it myself from scratch. The chair is super comfortable. I got the one with the black headrest. It also looks nice on the setup. So far, it is highly recommended!

The delivery service was poor

The delivery service was poor, while I was told in the morning it would arrive between 10-11 the driver called me at 11:00 saying that was not the case he had nothing to do with the Company and he was coming between 11 -13:00.
The delivery people than put the box in a way that it would not pass through the garage door so that they would not need to go upstairs

All in all poor effort

Your chair has not arrived despite my…

Your chair has not arrived despite my multiple efforts to get your support people to organise delivery. Your service is appalling, absent-minded, inattentive, doesn't care about customers. Moreover, the AI in your customer response system censored me from saying what I really want to say. I am clearly unhappy that it has taken nearly 3 weeks get a product delivered that I have paid a premium price for.
