Almost no customer support, works only after kick on
At first - website is real. At second, my opinion, if You intend to buy something there, use PayPal.
Previously I've had positive opinion about Cubot, as I over 3 year used the smartphone Cubot H3. As I discovered, the Cubot has the official shop and sell devices in the Europe. and I decided to by new smartphone for my daughter there. The order made on 19th of December and 22th of December I've already got it.
The new smartphone was in working condition but had a screen defect. Of course, I've tried to contact with support, but, as saw the web site was down( its lasting over week) and I didn't able use my account to contact support and I've wrote email, provided in the order confirmation email. I had no response for few days and decided to use PayPal tool to make a claim for the transaction. Then I had response from Cubot support, directly from China, according to time response( midnight). After a standard recommendation to do the full reset ( Ha-Ha, doesn’t works almost always) they agreed to replace or get the refund for the device. At first, I would like the replacement. Then I get the post address and posted the parcel by signed delivery. Next day the support noticed, that if I got the replacement, before that I have to close the case on the PayPal! Of course, I said “NO”. In this case, just refund was offered. I don’t understand the problem with it, but I had no intention to close the case before the problem will solve. Then one week more waiting for response and I escalated the case on PayPal, few days after I’ve receive the refund, except for return postage( £ 4.85). Few days later I've received £ 3.45 refund on PayPal balance.
