Utterly dreadful. Demeaning and degrading tutors.
Bikes to small for taller riders..
I was told "buy yourself a bigger bike"
You are better off finding a local instructor.
I had to stop the session!
I felt it unsafe.
They would have sent me on the road riding on the metal portion on the back of the bike. As i could not fit on the bike.
It was ridiculous.
Reported to the DVSA.
I have been an advanced driver (car) for 25 years.
I wouldn't send my kids on this course..
Its all about taking your money!

I had a great day being trained by Gary and Lee, but mainly Lee. Brilliant instructors, very friendly and personable, definitely helped to relax the riders, and gave us more time to comfortably evaluate their constructive feedback and guidance, that is delivered without prejudice, sensitively, respectfully, and very helpful. I had an awesome day. Thank you guys for your wisdom, but as stated, mainly thank you Lee for the brilliant training and supportive feedback =D

I did my motorcycle training with Lee and he made me feel at ease as he was very confident and friendly. All of the instructors are really nice and very friendly. I Enjoyed my time at the shires motorcycle training and i would definitely recommend them.

I was made to feel comfortable and at ease with the friendly staff, Bike Instructor Ian was very confidence inspiring and also protective of us riders when out on the road. Enjoyed my time at the shires motorcycle training and would definitely recommend them!

This time it went wrong because of my safety and that was the first time and this time by just one hour ride on the car park and then out on the road for 2 hours road riding ok

Completed My CBT Training 21/03/25 started with one trainer who was great didn’t catch his name. Then Ben came and took over he was brilliant from start to finish. He had great communion skills & he was super friendly. I did my test on a moped however I hope to come back in the next couple weeks a do gears but I know I will need a lot of work doing gears as I ain’t the best.

Really enjoyed my day from start to finish staff all are super friendly and welcoming. Had the best day and really enjoyed going out on the road.

Did my CBT and then went on to do my MOD'S

These guys were amazing all the way through.
They are supportive and extremely knowledgeable on how to be a safe rider.

I feel that I was given top notch training and completed each test first time.

Ian was my instructor for my MOD 1 and MOD 2 and was absolutely amazing!

He passed down a wealth of knowledge that I can take with me on my journey as a biker.

Booked my CBT for me and the wife, such an amazing experience it was. Shires staff at Leicester Beaumont Leys were so friendly and helpful. The receptionist Theresa and instructors Rob and Lee were such good instructors and were very patient with us. It was just such a good experience and a good laugh.

Was nervous as I hadn’t been on bike for a very long time and the wife was scared to try it after a bad experience in the past but Rob and Lee definitely gave us the confidence to ride again and made it very enjoyable.

Would highly recommend Shires to anyone. Planning to do my next MOD 1 and MOD 2 with them again in the future.

I had my CBT yesterday with Lee and Rob at Shires Motorcycle Training in Leicester….. they were AMAZING! I found it really tough having had a very bad experience the last time I did the CBT a very long time ago, with someone else (not shires!) but they made me forget all about the past and really helped me focus on the now. They were both calm and really explained why we had to do certain things and when I got things wrong they helped me understand what I needed to do differently. I honestly didn’t expect to get my certificate but out on the road, Lee helped me understand that the only way I can get better is through practice which I will do!

Unfortunately had to return a part that wasn't quite right, for my Honda CF 70, but having dropped the part off a refund was quickly executed within 2 day's.

Yesterday had a great day & completed my CBT training, had a great laugh along the way, Carl & Ash were brilliant & very patient, would highly recommend this academy 5* +. (Paul P).

Had My CBT Rider Renewal At Shires Beaumont Leys With Lee April 2024 Great Guy Just Me And Him On The Road By 09:30am I Was So Tired Due To Lack Of Sleep The Night Before Pre-Anxiety Wether I Was Going To Pass Or Not But Lee Was Brilliant With Me Throughout And I Had Passed By 12 Dinner Time Also Great Team And Would Highly Recommend To Anyone.

A massive thank you to, Shires Motorcycle Training. I was lucky enough to do my compulsory basic training with Shaun, and he was incredibly knowledge and professional. I was incredibly nervous about the training, and on what to expect - but within minutes you're put at ease, and taught in a very effective way.

I'm not looking to book my MOD 1 and 2 with Shires Motorcycle Training.

I completed my CBT, Module 1 and 2 training and testing all with Shires Derby (Passed both Mod 1 & 2 first time) and I have to say "What an absolutely great team".

Shaun, Ash, Leo, Colin and the rest of this team were extremely patient, explained everything very clearly and despite my initial nervous approach (I'm now 57 and never rode a bike before), they managed to make this fun, which also massively increased my confidence levels.

During the tests I, was completely comfortable with the big 650 and 700 cc bikes provided and passed both MOD 1 & 2 tests held in Nottingham and Burton first time.

A massive thanks to all the team (you were all brilliant) and especially to Colin for the final MOD 2 training. I am now 100% confident and fully licensed to handle my Royal Enfield Bullitt.

If you are going to follow the same path, I
would absolutely recommend Shires Derby.
