Saturday the 28th of December i walked into this store after shopping at other jewellery stores in the sunshine plaza and got served by Emma c she was amazing and I hope she reads this she really made my day I will be going back tomorrow

Exceptional service at their Carindale store, staff member was pleasant, professional & very helpful. I made my decision to purchase Emerald/ Diamond stud earrings after looking at four other jewellers. Best quality/ style at a reasonable cost. Absolutely disgusted with the product receive and there was an extreme delay between ordering and receiving my ordered watch. I ordered a baby G Shock watch on the 19th NOV and didn't receive the watch till the 6th DEC this was a gift for for my daughters birthday. I was shocked when I didn't receive what was advertised in the picture, I then questioned the team at Shiels and they referred me back to there T&C's where they can send any version of the product that is advertised. No where on the add did it ever stipulate this.

I was given a gold bracelet with a faulty lock. When I put on bracelet it came off. The instore policy clearly reads If they can conclude it is faulty they will refund or exchange.
This was not the case. Tracy at the Innaloo store refused to exchange, even though she saw it was faulty. She was going to get the area manager to call me, but five days later no call. I called head office and they said it need to get sent to their jeweller because they cannot see (from SA) that it is faulty. The bracelet had just been purchased and that was first time worn and it fell off. I tried to tell the manager at head office, but clearly she was not going to listen.
This is truly bad customer service given their policy.
I have since been to another store where they looked at receipt and clearly saw lock was faulty and exchanged for me.

WARNING! DO NOT BUY ONLINE FROM SHIELS!!
I purchased an anniversary present online from Shiels Wednesday of last week. I even called to speak to a consultant before making the purchase to discuss the purchase.
After one week I heard nothing, so I called to follow up & was promised a call back. I didn't get one, so the next day, I followed up again.
Finally, I was told that someone else sold the item I bought & there was no other one available. What would've happened if I didn't follow up?
As if that wasn't bad enough, I was then offered a lab grown diamond in place of the natural diamond product I purchased!! I offered other suggestions but was met with a rigid response, so I asked to speak to the online manager to work through a solution. She didn't even have the care to manage a phone call to resolve the situation. Just a throw away email a day & a half later.
Now, nearly 10 days after my purchase, I receive an email advising that I'll get a refund.. which will take up to another 10 days. That's nearly 3 weeks before I can shop for an alternative, which means I will likely run out of time & have no present for a milestone anniversary.
Thanks for turning a moment of celebration into a moment of stress Shiels!! Clearly we have different ideas of what "the leading jewellery retailer in Australia" means.

I purchased a necklace online. The photo was very edited and not at all an accurate representation of the necklace. I returned it which cost me. Then I left a review of the necklace. They deleted or never posted my review on the website. Very untrustworthy company.

One shop I will never go back to is Shiels in Westlake South Australia. I wish I had read the store reviews before I went to this store. The store mainly has a one star rating due to rude, ignorant staff, and it seems that nothing has been done about this by management, nothing has changed.
I brought a diamond pendant with chain, but was not offered the opportunity to try it in store, the chain was unacceptable quality and way to short, it could not be worn, so the jewellery did not serve it’s purpose. I was told very rudely , no refunds for change of mind. I wouldn’t have changed my mind if the chain was suitable for use. The answer by the assistant was to spend more money, gift the item or don’t use it. I will never be a returning customer, all about policy not customer service. Beware, not the best place to shop.

Bought a few gold anklets from here worth a couple hundred dollars just to have worn them for a month after they broke and fell apart
Same things happened to all my gold bracelets purchased from here . Literally just fell apart. I get better quality longer lasting jewellery from big w or Louisa that doesn't cost an arm and a leg or completely break within a month of wear.
Waste of money . Shiels should be ashamed of themselves

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. BEWARE OF THEIR LIFETIME WARRANTY PROGRAME.
If I could give NO STARS i would.
My Husband ans I purchased my wedding ring from Shields and paid for the extendended warranty which at the time of purchasing i was told covered any issues with my ring and cleaning.
I used the extended warranty twice once when a diamond fell out of the ring. A second time when the ring came appart where it was resized.
However my nightmare with Shields began in December of 2023 when i was putting on a jumper and a piece of gold was lifting on my ring and i didnt know and that gold caught on my jumper and peeled back. I took my ring back to shields with a copy of my extended warranty, where they sent it off to be repaired.
On Feburary 2nd 2024 i recieved a call from shields Noarlunga store telling me that their jeweller is saying im at fault and if i want the ring repaired it will be $264.
I was not happy and told them this is a gold ring that should not have begun peeling. The lady said she would call and see what she could do. She called me back telling me they could take $20 off the repair price.
I said no im not paying for this ring to be repaired i have aid for extended warranty. She said yes but you got the ring on sale and the cost of youre ring is more than the cost to repair it. Cause you got it on sale. I was so upset by this comment and i told her this is my wedding ring! So it is very sentimental what i paid for my ring has nothing to do with you repairing it and under my apparent extended warranty. To which she replied youre extended warranty is only for cleaning. I said well thats not what shields tells the customer when they offer it to their customers, and its definitely not what i was told. I was told the extended warranty covered faults and cleaning. Shields actually really talks their extended warranty up.
She then stated so ill get youre ring sent back here and you can come in and collect it and hung up.
So i sent an email to Shields head office on the 3rd Feburary explaining what had happened and how angry and upset i was and also stated i did not want their staff from Noarlunga SA store to contact me again.
I recieved an email from a lady by the name of Janina apologising for what has happened telling me she would look into it. On the 6th of April 2024 i messaged Janina again as i never heard back from her. Asking her what was happening, She apologised yet again for the delay saying she had been on annual leave.
But she was calling the Noarlunga store that morning and would get back to me that day.
On th 19th of August i yet again messaged Janina as again she didnt get back to me in April as promised telling her i hadnt heard from her in a while and i feel i had been more than patient. So again im wondering what is happening with my ring as this has been going on since December 2023 and all these promises of getting back to me and nobody does.
Janina sent back another message on August 20th saying she would have my ring sent to head office and have it reassesed. But that doesnt mean the out come will be any different.
On August the 22nd i recieved this email from Janina have received your ring back in our Support Office and it has been reassessed.
It is extremely damaged and dirty and this is not covered under the careplan.
Careplans are for maintenance and cleaning not for after sales damage.
We can do a special price of $220 .
We will however use the balance of your careplan which is $79 towards the total.
You will need to pay $141 towards the total cost of the repairs.
I told her for a starters rings get dirty that has nothing to do with the workman ship or quality of a ring. I didnt bother cleaning it cause to me it was covered under my supposed plan. Again i stated to Janina Shields dont tell you that their extended care plans are only for maintenance and cleaning. I had already had this ring repaired twice under the plan, and im not paying anything to have my ring repaired. This is why i paid extended warranty. I told her how unhappy i was and to please post my ring back to me as i will never set foot in another Shields store. On the 23rd August i recieved a call from the Noarlunga Shields store telling me my ring was there to be collected. I told the woman i asked for my ring to be posted back to me. She said and who did you tell that to ? I told her Janina because im not happy with how ive been treated or Shields customer service so i wont be setting foot in youre store. So please post it back. She replied well we werent told that we will contact Janina.
Well here it is the 18th of September 2024 I havent heard from anyone in Shields and They still have my ring. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUTOMER SERVICE IMAGINABLE!!!

I want to give a 0 rating my earrings I should have a 12 month warranty and I’ve been told won’t replace or refund after the pearl came off the stem after only a month and the backs continuously come off. I’m disgusted with Sheils will never buy from them again. This will go further…ACCC.

Put disadvantages to ordering on the site in big print before a customer orders. I am now several hundred dollars down because I didn't read the small print, which was very small, underneath the ring I purchased which was resized before purchase and could not be resized again. Be open and transparent, put it in decent sized text above the article being purchased, I would never have purchased had I have known it was resized before I purchased.

I went in to buy a diamond dress ring. I was looking at one that was advertised. It clearly had one diamond that I can only say was 100% different in colour to the others. On asking, the young man behind the counter. I asked why? this very cloudy diamond was set with the others. I got no answer. I gave the ring back and walked out. This is not the first time I have seen such poor quality in Shiels.(The date is a estimate..not 100% which day I went in).

Absolutely disappointed in this south Aussie business. Bought a watch as Christmas present during Black Friday sales. A part fell off and I returned the watch within the time period as advertised by shiels. I sent it off to shiels for a refund because for whom the watch was he returned back overseas with no plan to return so I no longer have a need for this watch. I asked for a refund and was declined saying it’s up to the manufacturer . I contacted the manufacturer said that they don’t but Shiels decide whether a customer gets a refund or not. So basically shiels lied so that they don’t have to refund customers. Long story short, after numerous emails and been waiting for a month I still don’t have the watch nor a refund. I paid for a new watch and in return I’m getting a repaired watch! The watch is valued at $300.
Extremely disappointed by such poor customer service. Lost me for ever as a customer.

Purchased a watch on 10/2/24 within 20 mins decided that the watch is not suited to my wrist as is small, nothing had to be altered as it is a silver mesh strap, the salesman at harbour town over talked me continually repeating terms and conditions, no refunds, after explaining the consumer act which states a consumer has the right to a refund irrespective of the businesses terms and conditions, we are talking about $64.50 price, so I contacted head office, which stated they will have the watch assessed by the manufacturer to make sure it’s not damaged thrown in water, so within 20 min window all this can take place, so what’s to say you give the watch to there manufacturer and they drop it or emerge in water and blame me.
Clearly there is zero customer service, it s the biggest cop out I have ever heard.
Have now lodged with consumer affairs.
