Great service from order to delivery. I didn’t know what chassis and bulkhead I needed for my rebuild and they gave me great advice before buying. So far everything has fitted onto the new chassis and bulkhead perfectly with no issues. Highly recommend these guys for price and quality, very happy chappy

I purchased a galvanised chassis for a land rover 90 300tdi from shielder chassis. I was very impressed by the accuracy of the fabrication work.
All brackets, fixings and drilling lined up exactly with everything on the body of the vehicle. Perfect.

Getting all the fixing for my bulkhead in the 1 pace made it very simple
Took only 2 weeks to receive my bulkhead and doors not fitting well nothing to fault.
Tony was very helpful in pointing me in the direction of everything I needed

1/shiping costs to Holland almost as expensive as the door itself
2/they claim to manifacture the parts themselfs but this door wasn't
3/ Rear door Puma did not fit and had to be modified on several points before it could be installed.
4/ costed me about 300 euro extra for labour
5/send at least 5 emails about the problem however NILL response from the company
6/very, very bad after sales and service, would NOT recommend this company!

I had great fun fitting my new bulkhead from Shirlder,
It fitted perfectly to the chassis and lined up well with the wings and doors,
The dash tock some fiddling with but lined up in the end,
I am very happy with the end result,
I also purchased inner wings, they were fiddly to fit but look great so no complaints :-)

I recently bought a chassis and a bulkhead for a series 2, really pleased with the quality of them, they guys over at shielder were really friendly, easy to contact and helpful when I needed to call, and the delivery was prompt. The driver was great as well, and safely got the chassis off the flat bed truck no issues. The chassis came with the bushes for the springs, which was handy, and the rope in place so I can get the wire through the chassis leg will be useful. Definitely would recommend them, being significantly cheaper than the other manufacturers, and still excellent quality

I have built several Landrovers from the ground up in the past few years and I have used 3 of the major chassis makers to achieve this. Last year I bought a series 3 light weight and wanted a combat spec chassis not just in the style but made of 3mm steel in its entirety, everyone I contacted couldn’t really help me with this but on contacting Shielder I was met with the answer YES we can do that no problem, the chassis arrived a few weeks later and I was over the moon with the results. The welding is absolutely superb and the galvanise is of extremely high quality. In fact I couldn’t find a single error in fabrication even on close inspection.
I dealt with Tony who I have to say was extremely knowledgeable and polite, a true gentleman. My only advice to anyone buying a chassis for their series Landrover would be no matter who you order it from make sure that you are ordering the correct chassis for your vehicle, there are so many variables that can make all the difference to fit. Make sure you know what you have and what you need before ordering, a simple phone call to Shielder will iron out any issues you may have..
I couldn’t recommend Shielder enough, I know that sounds cliche but I truly mean it. So much so in fact that I am now doing a series 3 109 and I have ordered another chassis from them..

On the fence? GO FOR IT. This will save you tens of hundreds of hours trying to save a rotted chassis. And will be nice and galvanized inside and out for ages to come.

Installation was a breeze, but don’t imagine that any major part of a Series is a straight swap. There were adjustments and shims needed from the factory as well. Like the 20mm shim pack I removed from my original rear tub to chassis mounts during dismantling.

For a first time restoration, it wasn’t a problem getting it all back together. And the car and chassis is now used for full time travels on my way towards the Arctic!

51 one year old car, now ready to live another 50 instead of getting scrapped.

Our 2a Shielder chassis and bulkhead were ordered in January with a 30% deposit,the remainder to be paid when the chassis & bulkhead were made and ready for delivery,which was only a month later,delivery was quick and Mark was both friendly and helpful,when delivering,which I appreciated as it was my wife who took delivery, we chose Shielder, firstly because we wanted the chassis and bulkhead to be manufactured by the same company, Shielder did this,other suppliers don't,secondly we wanted a removable gear box cross member, Shielder do this as standard, others charge extra as an option and thirdly was the cost,Shielder prices are excellent, there communication is instant and friendly and Shielders chassis & bulkhead are well built and are of excellent quality,spring mounts and engine & gearbox mounts are exactly where and as they want to be,my son and I would highly recommend Shielder, we are doing "The Old Girl ",that what we call our 2a,together,thank you to David and everyone at Shielder for a job well done.

The bulkhead was delivered very well packed, so no damage at all, it fitted really well. The spray shop was able to paint it with little problems from the galvanising. So far everything has fitted well. The only issue I has was that the captive nuts were metric and I assumed they were imperial.

Breath of fresh air to be dealing with people who actually know what they are talking about, their chassis are top notch, fitted perfectly. Great job guys

From start to finish professional to say the least, no question to silly to ask ,the guys at shielder where always willing to help, will definitely use them again for my next project.

Brought a s2 lightweight galvanised chassis which was delivered on time. Contact with the company was excellent and I was kept informed of what was happening until I received it.
So far, and I have measured pretty much everything against the original chassis, it seems to be an exact copy.
I have had to clean off the odd bit of galv here and there but this is to be expected.
Totally satisfied with the whole experience.

Have use lots of other makes of chassis in the past. But I decided to try Shielder as the price was very competitive.
Chassis arrived a week later after ordering looked fantastic and fitted like a glove.
