We started Shammy Shack in 2010 as we wanted to bring colour to the world of hockey. We were the first company in the world to provide five different coloured over grips and now you have the choice of over 50, still the largest anywhere on the planet. Talking about the planet - As parents we want to safeguard the environment. We recycle as much as possible and are striving to be plastic free by the middle of 2019. We don't use product packaging and have implemented a walk to post scheme. Hockey players like us have a great reputation for fair play. We try and emulate this at Shammy Shack by not charging too much for postage and packing and keeping product prices as low as possible. If you don't receive your order for some reason we will replace it without moaning, something we try and do when the umpire's decision goes against us. We are always looking at ways to improve and innovate, if you have any ideas we'd love to hear from you. What's coming up? Well that would be telling but we do have some exciting things in the pipeline.

I ordered some grips for a new stick and ordered it with next day delivery. I have yet to receive my delivery - I emailed the Shammy team and have had no reply either.
Have previously used this company with no issue, however this time it has been very disappointing.

Ordered three personalised grips
Ordered three personalised grips. Two were absolutely perfect. One was faulty. I have emailed shammy shack three times now without any response. Really poor customer service!

I recieved my order over a week after…
I recieved my order over a week after the expected delivery dates. My delivery was supposed to take 3-4 days however it did not and I was not informed or anything throughout this

Placed order never received.
Placed order on 9/19/25. Emailed on 9/29/25 for an order update. Received email back that it will take max 3 weeks. Emailed on 10/9/25 that I have not received my order. Did not hear back. Emailed again on 10/15/2025. Still have not heard back. They took my money and now are not responding.

Superb grips and superb service & delivery. Have ordered 3 for £10 (to make the most out of the site) several times now and even getting to the point where teammates ask for advice and direct them to ShammyShack and they ask me to add 1 for them to my order to save on postage!! Great work guys.

Happy with Product but not Delivery Time
Delivery took over 1 week from confirmation of despatch not 2-3 days as suggested.
Not all required colours were in stock either so had to order alternatives.

Hi Stephen, thanks for your review, we send as much as we can by Royal Mail to keep costs down, but sometimes this means they are a bit slower than we would like. Hopefully most of our products are now back in stock.

I placed an order on July 31. I was charged on August 1 today is August 20 and I have not received the order. I’ve sent two emails in regards to the shipment. I have no delivery updates as of today. It’s a small tiny order for two stick grips and it’s been three weeks and no updates and no product..

Helpful owner who rectified issue, ask for colour swatch
Ordered a selection of grips for my hockey club. The white ones were perfect, and had been in contact via WhatsApp for a request on thread colour, but the blues ones were very different to the advertised colour. Got in contact and Jeremy was very helpful with reordering in the right colour at a discount. Would've been helpful to get colour confirmed before placing order.

I still haven't received my order or any info as to where it is or when it will arrive, it's been a month. The Shop app is too invasive for what i want. if thats the only way to track I will switch companies.

Hi Tim, the office has been shut for the Xmas break but I can see that your order was sent out on the 9th December via surface mail. This is our budget shipping option and doesn't include tracking. It usually only takes about 3 weeks maximum and is often a lot quicker. We will get another order out to you when we return on the 2nd January. For my younger son, following in brother’s footsteps choice of colours and duo colours allow for easy recognition of stick, hopefully preventing someone else picking up.
