Just the worst -- no customer service…

Just the worst -- no customer service to speak of. My my mum made an order at the start of June that never arrived, for which she still hasn't received a refund. The courier (Amazon) repeatedly failed to deliver my mum's order then lost the package trying to return it to Sevenhills. Amazon have delivered to her countless times in past and she tried repeatedly to give them the information that they requested. She also tried to contact Sevenhills, who have ignored her completely, presumably because they have no human customer support function. As the courier lost the order no automatic refund was provided and no one at Sevenhills has followed up with her, presumably because they'd rather keep her money. She's legally entitled to a refund and would like it processed asap. Both I and she have ordered Sevenhills products through amazon but we'll be avoiding them like the plague in the future.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us, and we are very sorry to hear about your experience.

We apologise for the issues with the delivery. If an Amazon courier confirms that a parcel has been lost, Amazon will automatically process a full refund directly, without the need for it to go through us.

However, we are more than happy to help get this resolved.

We would also like to reassure you that we respond to all customer enquiries within 24 hours. If we haven't replied, it usually means that we unfortunately never received the message or it was lost in transit.

Please ask your mum to contact us directly at support@sevenhillswholefoods.com or via the contact form on our website, quoting her Amazon order number. We will investigate the issue straight away and do everything we can to help resolve it as quickly as possible.

Again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused and look forward to helping put this right.

Kind regards,

Would not provide,a Certificate Of Analysis

Concerned by a negative review on Amazon for hemp protein powder, I emailed Secenhills asking for a copy of the Certificate of Analysis. My main concern was heavy metal toxicity.

As was the experience of the Amazon reviewer, no Certificate was ever received. At first, Sevenhills said they would pass on my request to Quality Control. However, In spite o my chasing this up several times, they simoly ignored my emails.

I have now stopped using all their product. I hope the Food Standards Agency investigates the authenticity and safety of all their products.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and for taking the time to share your concerns.

We can confirm that we are always happy to provide customers with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) upon request. Please accept our sincere apologies that you did not receive a response earlier -this is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide.

We have now located your request and have responded to you with the relevant information.

Please be assured that all of our products undergo strict quality control processes, including testing for heavy metals, to ensure they meet UK and EU safety standards.

If there is anything further you would like us to clarify, please don’t hesitate to get in touch - we’re here to help.

Kind regards,

Very suspect

Was advised to buy organic beetroot powder to act as a natural body hydrator when mixed with water. Found this company and ordered a package. When it arrived it all looked very nice. A glossy package with very nice illustrations of trees and rolling dales and covered in descriptive words and sentences such as 'organic' 'natural' 'straight from the farm' etc - so i opened the package (without checking the smallprint - dumb) anyway it tasted like beetroot i guess and i thought all was well.
Then i checked the smallprint.
And guess what? this organic. pure and natural straight-from-the-farm beetroot powder was made in.....CHINA! Yep, China. That bastion of organic products and trustworthy food. Also it says on the package that the product, once shipped from China, was packaged in the UK OR Germany! Thats right - they dont even know where it was packed!
is this an English company? it sure gives that impression from the wording and illustrations. But if they really think that they are getting pure organic food sent in from the worlds worst food supplier - a country that uses GMOs and other such poisons in EVERYTHING, then they are either very deluded or most likely - they know damn well what they're getting. They're getting it cheap. And then they're just dressing it up with lovely countryside illustrations and seductive wording. In which case this company, Sevenhills, is a DISGRACE and needs boycotting by one and all

Hi John,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We’re sorry to hear about your experience, and we’d like to clarify a few important points to reassure you.

While it’s true that our beetroot powder is sourced from China, all of our organic ingredients - regardless of country of origin - are certified to EU and UK organic standards. This means they are independently inspected and certified by EU-recognised control bodies, ensuring they meet the same strict requirements applied to organic products grown within Europe. In our case, certification is overseen by the Soil Association.

In addition, every batch undergoes rigorous quality testing in UKAS-accredited laboratories, and is reviewed by our internal Food Safety Team before release. This ensures full compliance with UK and EU regulations, including strict limits for contaminants and heavy metals. We only work with long-term, audited suppliers who provide full traceability and consistently meet these standards.

Regarding packaging, we use a shared label across both UK and EU product lines. Products for the UK market are packed at our facility in Sheffield, while EU orders are packed in Germany. This is why both locations may appear on the packaging.

We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns. If you would like any further information, including certificates or testing details for your specific batch, we would be happy to provide them.

Kind regards,

I ordered by Amazon on the 5 August the 400g Hericium erinaceus. On the 15 September no news, no delivery, no email.
After two complaints I still wait to refund !

Great quality - but hemp seeds from China

I’ve been ordering from this company for years, and their products are consistently of great quality. I recently inquired about cadmium and lead levels in their cacao, and they promptly shared their test results, which were well below the safety limits—something I really appreciate.

The only product I’ve found disappointing is their hemp seeds. They are noticeably drier than those from other brands, and since they are sourced from China, I have concerns about their quality and origin.

Avoid this company

Had an issue where I received the wrong product. I had ordered from this company 15 times before. Politely raised a complaint. Sevenhills could not have been less interested, fobbed me off completely and called me by the wrong name. Terrible

Rubbish, horrible! Bought acai from Amazon and when it…

Bought acai from Amazon and when it arrived there was a blood red stain on the packet. I sent them a message and no reply. Then complained to Amazon who were blah blah blah blah and more blah and we're so good we'll refund your money. My concern though was that a red stain and food is a problem. Unhygienic standards and food is a problem! Surely! Still not heard from 7 hills, and Amazon pretty pathetic about the health implications and concerns. Unscrupulous and unfazed about people health. Rubbish wholefoods. Scam and greedy.

Disonsest fraudsters. Avoid!

This company is totally dishonest
Orderd Cacao butter from them @ a fairly reasonable price.
Get a confirmation of order, then told orderd is cancelled because item is out of stock, yet on their website they have it in stock with a massive increase in price.
And worst of all they still have not refunded over £400 to me and that was a week ago.
Avoid doing business with these scamming fraudsters.

I order herbs every week to help manage my autism. It helps me feel over stimulated less quickly and more comfortable in social setting. The only other brand that works this well is natuya and they are alot more expensive. Definitely recommend.

Dead dried snails in chia seeds

Me and my sister had purchased 2 bags of Chia Seeds, we then noticed dried dead snails in the chia seeds. They are more visible when the product is in milk as the black slugs stand out more.
If you have batch number 278884 please be wary of what you are eating.

Disguisting!

Poor quality products, even worse customer service. They use fake reviews, when you analyze it with fake spot it shows 3starts and not 5 stars as they claim. Only 25% of their reviews are real, and those are bad ones.
One of their products gave me heavy metal poisoning (checked with my doctor). When i asked for refund in 3 emails, they ignored me and never got the refund. Threw away all their products, and recommend you do the same.

ordered goods on the ebay site…frustrated.

ordered goods on the ebay site cancelled approx 5mins
after order, however on 8/9/20 I am told order
despatched , I have been in touch with seller who tells
me they are unable to intersect as parcel with courier,
it is now the 14/9/20 and the parcel is still with courier,
and after many e-mails with seller they still refuse to
request a return and the cancelled item will be delivered to me 15/9/20 in order for me to refuse delivery, so buyers beware it is impossible to deal with seller in a sensible manner they take your money
but you try and get it back you have problems.
