This company helped me understand my rare disease better. I also enjoyed finding out more about where my ancestors cam from.

I chose Sequencing.com because they seemed easy to approach, were not too geeky, and were providing a whole genome sequencing service. A further consideration was that I could upload my DNA to other services so that I could gain more insights from other companies, and Sequencing.com allows me to do this
My only problem was with customs being pedantic about what I put on the declaration for departing from Australia. Sequencing.com advised me to change my wording from DNA kit DNA sample to Genealogical sample, and it worked perfectly. (So that’s a tip!)
I received a very detailed medical analysis of my DNA from Sequencing.com and then I uploaded my DNA to a third party service from a choice of many DNA service providers linked to on Sequencing.com in order to get my ancestry analysed.
There are follow-ups to come but that is a quick synopsis of my experience with Sequencing.com and why I chose them.
They are highly professional and very efficiently and effectively organised, not a geeky and unapproachable research unit. Their reports are very slick and sophisticated, and yet voluminous and comprehensive, from a medical scientific perspective.
I highly recommend Sequencing.com. Very approachable, sophisticated and authentic, from my experience!

Erika was so sweet, kind and knowledgeable. All of my questions were answered and it was a satisfying experience.

The results closely matched what I know to be true of myself and added clarity and validation.
The results will be useful to me and certainly were worth the cost.
The Zoom coaching session was also very helpful.
I have a very favorable opinion of Sequencing.com based the quality of the reports and on my experience.

I was able to find out. I had things that I thought I did, but the doctors weren’t sure about so now I have some information I can go to them and get the help I need. It came in really handy with that. Knowing some of the things I’m highly at risk for in a little later in age. I am able to keep an eye on them things and try to stop them from happening and that’s good overall I’m happy with the experience and everything.

EDIT: Refund processed & reps who called were friendly/ helpful. Offered to help me understand the results, but I honestly don’t have the energy. I imagine if someone was struggling & made a fuss, they could also get assistance. Added stars are for reps that reached out. I can only upgrade to 3 ⭐️ because the company makes it so difficult to cancel, and the data a pain to understand. For the price of this service, reports should be user friendly.
As for mention sorting refund if they had been informed earlier… it did take me posting poor reviews to get a refund. I canceled on their site more than once. Be vigilant. Check your CC statement.
Most importantly, it is IMPOSSIBLE to cancel a subscription. I canceled the 1st time in August 2025. I have been billed every month since. I just “downgraded” to free AGAIN & filed a complaint w/ BBB. Will file with state atty general tomorrow. I just got at AI response via email from Sequence to call & discuss the issue. Again. JUST STOP BILLING ME AND REFUND ME MY MONEY.
Second… the reports aren’t user friendly. Some of the data I received was in direct conflict with results from my actual care team & other bloodwork for chronic illness I know exists - because I am being treated for it. This whole thing is not to be trusted. They are a predatory company, playing in the fears of people just trying to get answers.

Sequencing.com provides a comprehensive whole-genome sequencing service, and I received everything I wanted: the raw data files and detailed analysis results across 25.7K variants.
Pros: Got all the desired genetic insights, including disease risks, carrier status, and medication responses.
Cons: The website interface feels a bit confusing and hard to navigate at times, making it tricky to fully understand the results. The subscription model (for ongoing updates and advanced features) was also somewhat unclear and felt a little overwhelming.
Overall, solid value if you're willing to spend time digging in, but the platform could use better user-friendliness and clearer explanations around subscriptions.

We were kept informed all throughout the process. The results met our expectations as far as detail and provided easy-to-understand explanations. The analysis seemed very thorough.

Originally, I ordered it for curiosity, wanted to know if there was a subtype to the EDS that's running in my family. But I learned far more than I expected. We found a genetic disorder that I was told I could not pass on though I am affected, but 2 of my children have it as well and if it weren't for this, none of us would know, and it has everything to do with why my health is the way it is, and my kids too. But now we gotta find out how it was passed on and how many generations back it goes, there's now potential one of my parents is unknowingly affected. And grandparents. Aunts, uncles, cousins... it might be the reason for our family's unexplained "bad heart genes" that they can't find because the condition we have can affect the heart. We finally have answers and they weren't what we expected.

I really like my experience so far. This cost $1 million dollars in 2001. Science is amazing.

I purchased the Comprehensive Health Screen WGS Bundle for my family. While the kit itself is professional and easy to use, the return shipping process for international customers is a disaster that Sequencing.com completely fails to warn you about.
The instructions simply state that "Return shipping is not included" and to treat it as a "parcel." This is woefully inadequate advice for biological samples. Here is the reality of what I had to go through in Malaysia because Sequencing.com provided no guidance:
1. Courier Rejection: You cannot just drop this in the post. FedEx and DHL require strict "Exempt Human Specimen" declarations and commercial invoices.
2. Government Red Tape: Because it is biological matter, the courier refused to take it without an official Export Permit from the Ministry of Health.
3. The Hassle: I had to physically visit the District Health Office, register with the government bio-safety system, and file formal applications just to return a cheek swab.
If you sell globally, you must provide global shipping guidance. A simple PDF download with the correct HS Codes (3002.90.10), "Exempt Human Specimen" labels, and a warning about export permits would have saved me days of running around.
Verdict: The science may be excellent, but if you live outside the US, be prepared to become your own logistics manager and export compliance officer. I sincerely hope Sequencing.com rectifies this by providing better documentation for future international clients.
Note: I will update this review with a final rating on the data/reports once I successfully get the samples to the lab and receive the results. Right now, this score reflects the extreme difficulty of the shipping process.

After being born with non-immune hydrops fetalis and 40 years of suffering from chronic pain, bleeding issues, and scoliosis I finally have an answer as to WHY! Turns out I have Noonan Syndrome 8. This particular gene wasn’t discovered until 2016, so no one would have ever known that I had a rare genetic condition growing up. Thanks Sequencing for giving me the answer to my lifelong question!!

Changes were easy to make. Support was pleasant. The whole process was much faster than they said it would be. Im a little surprised at a few results but realize just because a disease is present, doesn't mean it'll show up as a hereditary condition.

The different reports were very informational, and there are options for reports for different specialists and providers. I am hoping these reports help me get a diagnosis, finally. I have suffered with chronic pain in my joints for years, and now I might actually get to finally understand why this may be happening.
I am hoping the results can also help my family members, as we do not know all of our families health history. Thank you!

I can say that I am genuinely enthusiastic! The whole genome test has given me extremely valuable information. Thank you for the affordable prices: this, alongside the quality, is one of the key strengths.

I love this company. Everything I thought might be an issue it turns out I was right! God help us if doctors can catch up to knowledge you guys have!

Total scam. My results should've indicated a high risk for cancer and heart disease based on my parents' conditions. Both died at a young age, as did my daughter (43-cancer). Not only that, but there was no indication of diagnosed conditions that I already have. They use a lot of numbers and big words to confuse you and distract from from the smoke screen they're selling you. Do NOT waste your money. Or at the very least, do your research to find a reputable company. I wish I had.

Easy to do and received my results faster than expected! Had an issue, in my part, with the shipping address for my kit, and they changed it to the correct address quickly.
