Sendlane used to be good but now?

Sendlane used to be good but some recent changes with their compliance department is bringing them down hill. They told us we could send 1 am email and 1 pm email and today we schedule 1 pm email in advance for the week, they held all of them in compliance review and denied todays email for no reason. It is becoming a nightmare! We need to send our marketing emails to our customer list who are all opt in by the way and they are becoming very unreasonable just because someone over at the compliance department wants to be in charge. we paid in advance for the month and we are not getting the service we paid for.

Avoid Sendlane

Terrible experience. Sales team misled us. I don't think they have a customer service team. If you hear them say "white glove", that is a lie.

We were offered a promotion with free email for 4 months. I had to ask them each billing cycle to credit our account. Each time that took 10-20 days.

Switching to Sendlane was a HUGE mistake and cost our company at a minimum 50K in sales over the year we were with Sendlane.

Very poor support

Very poor support, we just started to work with app and information given us by support and product support manager was different. F.e. once you have account with your email, its not possible to get user role for other account (even if the previous account was deleted). Product manager told us it was possible, support on chat told us its not possible because it is the way how their system works.

Terrible

Terrible, signed up didn't send a single email and they said im banned and they won't refund the price, will do a chargeback to get my money back

Bait and Switch! Avoid this company.

I am the marketing manager for a D2C eComm company, and my experience with Sendlane was a nightmare. They offered 40% what we are currently paying for SMS and email marketing for the same features and credits. Sound too good to be true? It is.

I found out after the contract was signed that their cost per message was actually HIGHER for SMS, and their platform lacks key features that are available on our currently platforms (Klaviyo and Postscript). This includes basic things like template and campaign duplication, and also important behavioral and automation customizations.

When it became clear Sendlane could not meet our needs and we could not move forward, they refused to address any of my specific concerns and would not issue us a refund for our thousands of unused credits. Instead they told me we should be grateful they wouldn't enforce the entire annual contract. Honestly, if they had tried to do that we would have taken them to court.

Sendlane was an enormous disappointment. They oversold, underdelivered, and wasted our small businesses time and money. If your considering switching or signing up, I highly suggest looking elsewhere (Klaviyo and PostScript, while expensive, have outstanding customer service and a much better product).

Onboarding experience awful constantly message you and no freedom to send emails

I signed up with the promise of unlimited sending and being able to do single opt in. I was bombarded with messages telling me I didn't have freedom on the send and need to always hit certain thresholds and am being monitored closely which I didn't like so I signed up to another email service. I didn't expect onboarding to be so bad just like others who reviewed the service. Sendlane owes me $300 after they ignored the BBB complaint

Their system is full of bugs and they…

Their system is full of bugs and they wanted me to keep paying full price while being their test dummy.

Their customer service only knows what is available in public documentations. They will keep repeating the same points not listening to your problems.

Plenty of competitors out there for less money and better service.

Ridiculous

Ridiculous. They stated as unlimited email sending and now they start limiting the emails you can send per month and charge you extra money when you go over that limit. Never ever believe their claim of "unlimited email sending"

I have LOVED my Send Lane experience as…

I have LOVED my Send Lane experience as a subscriber. The email build designs, structure and functional options are very good and the report gives you everything you need to analyse and respond to different responses - to any type of engagement. BEST OF ALL though is their customer service. I have had instant replies every time to my chat questions ... and they have spent as long as it takes to help me do something - or give me the clear answer straight off. I have been with Mail Chimp for a long time and I am really pleased I changed to Send Lane.

Receiving scam messages through this…

Receiving scam messages through this platform.

Just gone on to try and complain ... I don’t want to agree with the terms and conditions as there are 42 marketing cookies an 9 unexplained.

Which leaves me without a place of complaint.

A proportion of these marketing cookies allow Facebook to track users after they have left the site.

The use of some of these cookies are unnecessary. Be cautious using these.

Do note that our customers are permission-based emailers which means they are required to have you opt-in to receive their emails.
