Fraudulent Company

Paid £333 to for shipping my bike. They then cancelled the booking and refused to refund.

Bike arrived damaged - over 6 months later and still not resolved

Unfortunately had a very negative experience. During the booking of the service, Pippa Bell was very communicative. I booked a bike delivery from Spain to UK in March-April and purchased additional insurance.

The pick up was delayed which was annoying but a minor issue. The delivery was awful. I was given no notice of delivery and was busy at the time. My bike was left halfway up my communal stairs (rather than my front door), upside down, open and with holes in the box. Luckily nothing appeared to be missing; however my bike was damaged. The bike repairs cost hundreds of pounds. Naturally, I got in touch with them immediately via the chat and followed up with photo evidence as well as statements from the bike repair shop. I was initially told this would be dealt with but they went radio silent for months.

I only heard back from someone called Sean Kent in July who said would be handling the issue. They asked for evidence, which I'd already provided.

Many chasers later and I've had no further communication.

Unfortunately, I'll have to look into legal options now but wanted to warn anyone else thinking of using the service to reconsider or at least be prepared to have your potentially prized possession damaged.

USELESS BUNCH OF CLOWNS

Only has one star as no option for zero, useless took money for delivery then two days before collection refunded money with no explanation why they'd decided to cancel. Can I get though to them, can I hell absolute waste of space, advise strongly not to use this bunch of clowns. Piss up in a brewery springs to mind feel there is no phone number due to abuse heading their way

Initial service good, rest could better!

Initial service was very efficient and as described. When there was a collection issue, it was a little slow to keep communication going as we had limited time and could only make contact via email. The issues weren’t sendbikes fault, but when I’ve tried to ask them to help with compensation, I have received no replies. Very disappointing as we would have used them again.

Do not trust this company with your bicycle or money

I arranged for shipping of an Ebike from Germany to USA for £1000 inc insurance. Collected promptly, and shipped from Germany to UK, but never onto the final recipient in the USA. For 9 MONTHS they made and broke promises “we are shipping it on Monday etc etc” and messed me around. Finally when all trust was gone, I sent a letter of demand and got a lawyer involved. They then asked for an additional £500 to finalise the sending, or to return to sender and refund. I said to return it. It took another letter of demand and threat of police action to get them to actually return the bike. I have still seen nothing of the refund. Incompetence, indifference or fraud. You decide.

We found this company on a website…

We found this company on a website about Cycling and unfortunately did not read reviews on trustpilot etc. We ordered an extra large box to Be able to send the bike ‘ready to ride’ . Poor quality and in fact arrived after DHL had come to collect the bike. Very poor advice re the customs value to be stated on the box. Most importantly, impossible to get through to the company once we had paid their fee. Their ‘reply in one hour’ chatBox was never replied to and emailing them was similarly hopeless. There was no phone number to contact them. I would never use again

Unreliable service leaving us stranded

In early August I booked to send our e-bikes back from Nice to UK at the end of September. I paid up front and then three days before the boxes were due to be delivered SendBike cancelled with no explanation. We had to arrange our own van and ferry instead at short notice. We had already booked tickets to travel back from Nice to the UK by train but due to the short notice of the cancellation we couldn't get a refund on those (the trains we booked only took folding bikes so we couldn't take the bikes with us). I am still waiting for a refund from SendBike!

Terrible service

Terrible service. Communication almost non-existent. Failed to collect the bike at prescribed time. Stated that would re-book in for two days later. As this was after my return flight, I left the bike in the hotel baggagerie, with their agreement. But two weeks later nothing at all from Send Bike and no response to messages. Have had to pay for the hotel’s arranged courier service to return the bike which is costing €300. Do not use this service

Poor communication, poor customer service, sudden cancellation of our order with no explanation, while we were already travelling..

We booked with Sendbike to return our bikes from Italy to London....we were planning a 1200-mile cycle from London to Rome, in September 2024. This included delivery of the bike boxes to our hotel, and pickup the following day.
After we booked, we needed to amend the order as some of our party changed their plans. Communication with the company was dreadful. There is no phone line to call. Emails were occasionally answered but frequently ignored. The company has an online chat function, supposedly manned every day by a 'human not a bot' called Pippa Bell. I suspet that Pippa Bell is not a real single person but rather whichever person is manning their support service...there can be no other explanation for the complete lack of memory, so that whenever we messaged them, we had to start again with all our explanations.
The final straw came in late September when we were already half way across Europe, and we received a brief email saying they were cancelling the order, with no explanation as to why. So obviously, we had to make separate arrangements for bike transport, while in transit, staying in a different place every night.
Very poor experience.
I would avoid.

Absolute catastrophe of a company, don’t even think about it.
Back in March I booked two bikes to be picked up in Rome last week after a bikepacking trip. As we approached I messaged a number of times when I realised I had not received courier details as promised. Four days of stress trying to get through - which ruined the end of an otherwise great trip. When we arrived we found the boxes had been delivered to the hotel so packed them up. My friend left on Sunday and I decided to stay an extra couple of days to ensure the bikes were picked up and to enjoy Rome. The three hour window for the couriers on Monday came and went. I decided to bring my bike back in the plane - absolute pain and at additional expense. However I am glad I did, we have no idea where the other bike is. Have sent around 30 messages by email and on the chat forum, only once did ‘Pippa’ reply, suggesting pick up could be rescheduled for Wednesday, then it went dead again. I am not sure where to go next, the lack of phone number and address is extremely telling. Has Send Bike cost us thousands of pounds?
In the meantime if anyone from the company has the decency to respond to this, do look at your emails and chat feed to see my many many messages.

Order randomly cancelled

My bike transfer order got cancelled on short notice without any explanation or alternative. At least they refunded me, but still my moving schedule has been disrupted by this badly.

YOU WILL REGRET USING THIS COMPANY

The rear mech on my carbon Cipollini was completely sheared off in transit. Ironically, I used more bubble wrap than ever. This would require a staggering amount of force. Fact is sendbike cannot guarantee the safety of your bicycle & then they will completely ignore you when you report damage. The Insurance is worthless. I have received no reply since I reported the damage to my bike, which has ruined my holiday.
You will regret using this company.
Is Pippa even a real person? I doubt it.
Your carbon bicycle in a card box, dragged around by DHL is going to end in tears as I have painfully discovered.
I suggest anybody reading these reviews doesn't make the mistake of ignoring the bad ones & hope everything's going to be OK because you will find out the hard way. This company is a joke.
A painfully expensive joke that will ruin your cycling holidays/training camps. Avoid like the plague. Buy a hard shell bike box & use a company that won't take your money & then totally abandon & ignore you.

unable to contact send bike

I’m leaving this review in an attempt to get a response from SendBike’s customer service. After some issues with shipping my bike over a month ago, I haven’t been able to get a reply through their email or Instagram. If someone at SendBike sees this message, please could you come back to me via email to discuss my inquiry? I’m very disheartened and feel helpless with the inability to find a way to communicate. Thank you

Used to send a bike to Canada

I used SendBike to transport a bicycle to Canada. Overall, the box was great in terms of it's size and the bike comfortably fit. The box does come "collapsed" which is totally fine and I cannot understand why people would assume it would be delivered otherwise.

The box can puncture easily, especially with pointed areas such as quick release parts for wheels, and pedals. We reinforced the box in these areas, and used bubble wrap but still had holes. The trick here is to be as safe as possible and use lots of bubble wrap and tape to keep your bike protected and the box intact.

Shipping was very prompt and plenty of bubble wrap and tape was included on the order.
