Lack of Transparency in Appeal Process

I attempted to onboard my business as a TikTok Shop seller, providing full documentation (business registration, warehouse proof, inventory waybills, utility bills, video of warehouse operations, alternative sales channel evidence, government IDs, and tax returns). Despite complying with every request, my store was deactivated under “Non Compliant Store Behavior” with no specific explanation. Two appeals were lodged but rejected without identifying which documents or behaviors failed verification. Subsequent support interactions confirmed the decision is final and irreversible, leaving me unable to understand the root cause or correct any potential gaps. This lack of transparency creates significant uncertainty and risk for sellers. I encourage TikTok Shop to improve clarity in its appeal process by pinpointing exact issues rather than issuing broad “inconsistent documentation” labels. Clear, actionable feedback would help sellers fix problems and maintain trust. As a business owner, I value platforms that provide precise guidance when compliance issues arise; vague rejections undermine confidence and operational planning. I hope TikTok Shop revises its policy to offer detailed explanations during appeals, so honest sellers aren’t left guessing and can avoid arbitrary-seeming closures in the future.

TikTok Seller support is hot garbage

TikTok Seller support is hot garbage. I have opened 20+ tickets with them, countless "live chats" which I'm pretty sure are AI bots.

100% of my tickets have been unresolved. Every. Single. One.

My TikTok shop started in May of last year, over the summer it was doing amazingly well. Several thousand a month on purely organic searches.

I suddenly get suspended for "reproduced content" but that content was literally made by me. That raised my violation score and I was unable to create shoppable videos.

It never got resolved. I ended up having to wait 90 days for it to clear and by that time, all of the momentum we had was gone. Effectively ending the success of the store before it even had a chance to grow.

Customer service hell....

I have encountered significant challenges with this company that have made the experience highly frustrating.

Firstly, their return and refund policy is deeply flawed. Customers are not required to return products, which has led to rampant cases of fraud. This creates a substantial burden for sellers trying to operate fairly.

Additionally, their approach to issuing violations is excessive and inconsistent, causing unnecessary harm to payouts. I was recently penalized for a product violation involving an item that had been removed five months ago. To make matters worse, the penalty was inexplicably doubled. When I pointed out that there were two violations issued a week apart for the same product and the same issue, the response from their team was generic and unhelpful, with no resolution offered. Attempts to request clarification were met with a refusal to provide an explanation.

This pattern suggests a deliberate effort to delay payouts, which is deeply concerning. Their customer service team, unfortunately, falls short of the standard expected in e-commerce, with poor responsiveness and an apparent lack of accountability.

Having sold on platforms like Amazon, eBay, and Etsy, I can confidently say this company ranks far below in terms of seller support and operational transparency. Improvements are urgently needed to restore trust and ensure a fair experience for sellers.
