Disappointed

First, the estimated shipping was not accurate and it was difficult to line up install time with people. However the major issues were the following: 1. the door was warped and therefore, would not close and stay closed against the magnetic strip. 2. The electrical components were complicated and difficult. Yes, you need an Electrician but expect that person to stay for hours. The power unit needs to be in a weather proof box. which none was supplied. The 120V for sauna lights needs to be next to the 220v for the heating unit and the control unit needs to be in a third location. Also, I ordered a second strand of sauna lights and there is no option to install that anywhere.
The barrel itself was fairly easy, the last pieces needed a table saw as the options they send didn't make the cut, literally. Overall, if you are installing yourself I would not recommend this sauna.

Utterly unprofessional

Utterly unprofessional. They can't keep delivery dates or even reach out to communicate postponing it twice. Just get your sauna from somewhere else.

Edit: Yes, let's clarify Alex's response. I ordered the barrel sauna on December 1. Here is the information from the original email:
Almost Heaven Barrel Saunas – 1-2 weeks.
Almost Heaven Cabin Saunas – 3-6 weeks.
Almost Heaven Indoor Traditional Saunas (MTO) – 1-2 weeks.
Dundalk Leisurecraft Saunas (MTO) – 2-8 weeks.

After 10 days, I asked via email if I had gotten any shipping information. After that, Alex wrote that the delivery would be the 26th of December. Again, everyone can built their own opinion, but I have to admit: Alex is accelerating in excuses and not taking any accountability. You are a small business? So what? Care better for your customers and be transparent about delivery and delays.

Your order was placed during the busiest time of the year, and the estimated ship date provided was December 26th. Today is December 30th, just a few days beyond the estimate.

As a small business, we ship directly from our manufacturers and do not operate a warehouse. We're unfortunately not in control when it comes to delays like this, but we do understand that it's disappointing. We also strive to maintain communication on issues like this, but we were on a brief holiday break, which limited our response time.

We take all feedback seriously and are committed to delivering the best service possible while balancing the realities of being a small, dedicated team.

Give and take

Pros: Price match and free shipping in the US whereas competitors charge $1,000+.

Cons: I bought something that was “in stock.”

It ended up being on back order for 6 weeks. I had to reach out to them to figure this out. They then sent me a few links to their T&C’s from their site with zero accountability as to above broken workflow.

We take customer feedback seriously, but we also feel that your review leaves out key facts that are important for a fair understanding of the situation.

When your order was placed, the sauna was listed as in stock based on the manufacturer’s inventory. We were not immediately informed of a backorder. Once we became aware of the delay, we notified you immediately, which was a few days after your order. From that point on, we communicated as best as we could and ensured the sauna shipped within the timeframe we communicated.

As a small business, we do not manage stock or shipping directly. We rely on our supplier’s information and timelines. While this occasionally results in unforeseen delays, we addressed your concerns as quickly as possible.

Regarding your request to hold the shipment, it’s important to clarify that we were only informed of your travel plans after the sauna was already en route. At that stage, coordinating storage required additional fees, as outlined in our policies. While we understand this was inconvenient, managing storage or rerouting shipments incurs costs that we cannot cover without prior arrangements. Had we been informed of your travel plans earlier, we could have worked with you to prevent this situation.

While we regret the inconvenience you experienced, I do believe we handled this as best as we could.

6kw heater in a 4-person barrel is maxing temperature to 140 degrees. Aside from this, a great experience.

Great Vendor

The order seemed seemless at first but…

The order seemed seemless at first but then I get a call for delivery and I told them that I need it delivered before an early date it November and they said it was cutting it close, so I told them I was back on the 22nd and lets arrange delivery then. A few days after the 22nd I called wondering where my product was and they still did not ship it or even arrange a shipment. Here we are on December 5 and still no product.

When we discussed your delivery, we explained that ensuring arrival before November 8th was not something we could guarantee due to freight timelines. To avoid hefty holding fees from the freight company, we advised holding the sauna at the warehouse until closer to your return date, November 22nd. This was agreed upon, and your sauna shipped out before this on November 21st.

Once an order leaves the warehouse, delivery times are managed entirely by the freight company. While most deliveries are completed quickly, delays can sometimes occur due to factors outside of anyone’s control, such as routing schedules or capacity. We provided tracking information immediately on the 21st, and I believe your sauna has now arrived.

We truly believe we went above and beyond to provide you with the best service possible. By keeping you informed, coordinating shipment times around your schedule, and making every effort to ensure your sauna arrived safely. It’s unfortunate that freight delays impacted your experience, but we hope you understand this was beyond our control.

While we are very selective with the carriers we use, this matter pertains to the freight company’s delivery practices rather than the service we’ve provided, and the unfortunate truth is that their service can be subpar on very rare occasions.

Working with Select Saunas was great. The sauna arrived two days earlier than estimated, and the kit went together well. We got a good price and some nice extras. We contacted the company a couple of times and always received a quick response with all the info needed. I would highly recommend the company.

Very easy process paying through Trumed…

Very easy process paying through Trumed from my HSA account. Took 12 days to arrive after ordering but it came across the country so no complaints. The sauna is awesome. It was crazy easy to put together but you do need a second person to hold while you connect the walls together. I love it and my only complaint is I didn’t get one sooner

What I did like vs. dislike

What I did like, was the customer service the delivery and the ease of install pretty quickly. One thing if I may say the product I wish It Had a little bit more information as far as specifications. I guess the infrared sauna doesn’t quite get to the temperature I’d like it to be as I do with traditional saunas. Beautiful product just wish it got a little hotter.

Great experience

I'm pleasantly surprised how smooth my sauna purchase went. The estimated arrival date shown at the time of purchase was accurate, the sauna arrived in one piece (nothing broken), and the communication from SelectSaunas before & after receiving the sauna was appreciated.

I was convinced something would go wrong simply because big online purchases with semi difficult shipping logistics typically do. But honestly, it went perfectly. No complaints and would happily purchase from them again.

Meeting all expectations

So far things have went perfectly. Product was shipped and delivered quickly. Everything was there along with extra parts. Instructions were pretty good and was able to assemble and get everything put together in a little longer than a day. Product is exactly as described.

Happy with the Saunum

Overdue replacement on our old sauna heater. Awesome service team guided me toward the Saunum Air7 and we could not be any happier. Decided to splurge and really happy we did. If you’ve got the cash the Saunum heaters are well worth their money

I love it

I love it!
Very easy to set up, it snaps together and the pieces are light. Just used once so far but very happy with the purchase. Heats up, I like the music listening feature and lights more than I thought I would, we play meditation type music and just keep our phone outside. Impressed.
