This airport is now just for the rich, £17.50 ULEZ charge £6 drop charge. Be careful it is not obvious it’s in the ULEZ zone and their is no flexibility. Also rules out Aegean airlines now aswell. The new security machines actual increase the security process with far more bits to it now than before.
The worst airport T 5. The staff are indifferent unhelpful rude. It’s a frightening experience. I have travelled all my life and this is the worst experience of an airport I have ever had two years running. BA unfortunately have made T5 their home. I will be avoiding this shambles of a modern design airport like the plague. More staff training needed.
By far the worst airport in the world. How and why this place still exists I just don’t know. Parking is rubbish there staff are so under trained it’s unbelievable. The toilets are an absolute disgrace. Seats in the waiting area are disgusting bins overflowing tables in the bars and restaurants disgusting I ended up cleaning myself before I sat down
For our return flight the POD parking wasn’t working. There was no information prior to getting to the actual POD bays. Walked all the way there to be greeted by a sign saying 'out of order - go to bus stand'.
Signs directed us to a replacement bus service. We waited 10 mins for a bus by a busy road late at night.
Systems do break down but the lack of communication to customers for a supposedly high tech system is not acceptable and when queried by email for a refund on the return part of the journey - got no reply for a week, then when I followed up the email requesting a reply, got a terse reply referring me to their T & Cs. Had I booked a long term car park with bus transfers we would have paid £70. Instead we paid £149 for a service that was unavailable. Wish I'd saved my money - will never use again.

Watch out for their website. They get your personal details and your credit card data and then start accessing Facebook and Amazon. They can't explain why to me, so trust them if you dare...I don't.
